Hello and welcome.
If anxiety has been running your life and if fear has been in the driver's seat,
Today we're taking back control.
This meditation is to help you release anxiety from your mind and your body and your energy field.
So let's get started by first finding a comfortable position,
Whether that's standing up,
Sitting down,
Or laying down.
Whatever is comfortable for you is what I ask you to go with.
And when you're ready,
Place your hands over your heart or,
If it's more comfortable,
On your belly.
We're going to begin this meditation with setting an intention.
So repeat after me,
I am ready to release anxiety and I am ready to feel peace.
Anxiety isn't just in your head.
It's actually hardwired in your body and it's inside your nervous system.
When you're anxious,
Your body thinks that there's danger.
Your nervous system is stuck in flight or fight mode.
But you are safe.
So right now,
In this moment,
We want to allow our body to know that it is safe.
We're going to tell our body exactly that and we're going to teach your nervous system that it can calm down.
So I'd like you to take a couple deep breaths with me and we're going to be doing this by breathing in and counting to four,
Holding for a count of four,
And releasing for a count of six.
Let's go ahead and do this right now.
Breathe in with me,
Hold,
And release.
Let's do that one more time.
Inhale,
Hold,
And release.
Now what I'd like you to do is take a moment and try to notice where that anxiety lives in your body.
Is it harbored in your chest?
Is it living in your stomach?
Or maybe it's rooted in your throat?
Now while you're doing this,
I don't want you to judge it.
I don't want you to try to control or change it.
I just want you to fully notice it and if it helps,
You can give it a color.
You can give it a shape.
Now I want you to fully visualize that color or that shape and remember it does not have to be perfect.
Whatever you feel is right,
Is right.
Now imagine breathing directly into that space and with each inhale you're sending warm golden light to that exact spot.
With each exhale the anxiety is slowly dissolving,
It's softening,
And releasing.
Give yourself time to just visualize this light fully filling that color or that shape that you decided on earlier.
I want you to fully see it integrating and taking over.
I want you to go to that place of tension and anxiety,
Whether it be your chest,
Your stomach,
Your throat,
Or maybe you have a combination of all three.
And I want you to feel that chest opening up.
I want you to feel your stomach unclenching.
And I want you to feel your throat completely relaxing.
Believe it or not,
Anxiety is energy.
And energy can move.
Energy can transform.
And that's what we're going to do right now.
You're going to release it in this space and transform it.
So take a moment,
Continue to breathe.
There's no need to control your breathing,
Just let it be exactly how it is.
And take a moment to fully relax in this moment.
You have the power to control,
Move,
And transform energy.
You have the power to take control of your anxiety.
Now I want you to repeat after me.
You can do this in your mind or out loud,
Whatever suits you best.
I am safe in this moment.
I release what I cannot control.
My body knows how to calm itself down.
I trust my body can handle what comes.
I trust myself to make the right decision for me.
I am not my anxiety.
I am whole.
I am enough.
I am at peace.
Now I want you to really sit with the affirmations that we just went over.
I want you to feel each and every one of these lines and know that they are truths settling into your body.
They are hardwiring into your cells.
They are becoming the known of your nervous system.
Remember that each of the affirmations we just spoke can always be returned to and always be repeated.
And remember,
Teaching our nervous system is a process and it may take a couple times for you to really feel the stress and anxiety fully be released.
You are welcome to come back to this session at any time.
You are welcome to use these affirmations at any moment that you feel you need them.
Now I'd like for you to take a deep breath once again.
Breathe in,
Hold,
And release.
Feel how much lighter you are in this moment.
Feel how much calmer your body has become.
And if anxiety ever shows up again,
You can return to this meditation.
This is your tool.
This is your refuge.
Take a couple more minutes to just breathe in this moment and enjoy the peace that you've created.
Now,
When you're ready,
You can wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
And slowly bring yourself back to awareness.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
You are not broken.
You are healing.
And you have the power to control your energy.
You are exactly where you need to be.
