This guided meditation is a powerful journey into forgiveness—not as a favour to others, but as a gift to yourself. Using the metaphor of the mind as a house, we explore how unresolved hurts and unspoken resentments quietly take up space, draining your energy like a Hoover left running. Through gentle visualisation and heart-based reflection, you'll be guided to unplug the past, release those who no longer belong in your inner world, and reclaim your peace. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting—it means choosing freedom. This is your invitation to clear the room, clear the heart, and finally come home to yourself.

This is a gentle meditation about forgiveness and finding inner peace.

Take a deep breath in and slowly let it go.

Feel your body settle.

Feel your spine lengthen.

Your shoulders soften.

Your jaw release.

And now I'd invite you to gently close your eyes.

And move into this gentle space.

Become aware of your breath.

No need to change its frequency.

Just become aware of it.

And allow your breath to guide you inward.

Into the quieter rooms of your inner world.

Now I invite you to imagine your mind as a house.

It's not just any house.

It's your sanctuary.

Your temple.

Your sacred space.

But as you walk through it today,

Something feels off.

There are guests here who never left.

People who hurt you.

People who said things they shouldn't have.

Who never said sorry.

They're lounging in your favorite chair.

Pacing your hallways.

Leaving muddy footprints on your clean floors.

And some even have a vacuum cleaner.

But not to help.

But to suck up your joy.

To drain your clarity.

To consume your energy with every memory you replay.

Every argument you rehearse.

Every wound you reopen.

They are living rent-free in your head.

And you're paying the cost.

But here's the truth.

You don't have to keep them.

Take a breath.

And as you exhale,

Say silently,

I have suffered enough.

I no longer wish to carry you.

I forgive you.

Not because you earned it.

But because I deserve peace.

And now,

Walk gently towards the vacuum cleaner.

Feel the absurdity of it all.

And gently pull the plug.

Let the noise drop.

Let the silence return.

Feel your nervous system sigh in relief.

And now,

Turn to them and say,

You don't live here anymore.

Your time is up.

This space belongs to me.

And walk them to the door.

With hatred.

Not with drama.

But with the calm strength of someone who is choosing freedom.

And as they leave,

Just notice what opens up.

Notice the space.

Notice the stillness.

Notice the light filtering in through the windows of your being.

And now,

In that stillness,

Walk to the mirror in your inner home.

Look into your own eyes.

And speak gently with the deepest compassion.

I forgive you too.

For the harsh words you've spoken to yourself.

For the times you didn't know better.

For all the ways you've tried to survive.

Let those words land in your hearts.

You are learning.

You are healing.

You are enough.

Stay here for a few moments more.

Breathing in the peace that only forgiveness can bring.

You're not forgetting.

You're not condoning.

You're just choosing to be free.

And breathe into the lightness.

Feel your body relax.

And whisper one final time.

I choose peace.

I choose to be free.

I choose to live in a mind that is mine.

And when you're ready,

Just begin to gently return.

Wiggle your fingers.

Feel your breath.

Feel the ground beneath you.

And slowly open your eyes.

Lighter,

Clearer,

And quietly powerful.

And as you finish this meditation.

Just ask yourself.

Who have I been carrying inside my head?

And what would change if I finally let them go?
