Welcome to this meditation supporting you to ground the body,
Ease the mind and release stress from the body.
I invite you now to find a comfortable place,
Allowing yourself to lie down or sit down with ease and comfort for the next 10 minutes.
Begin by starting to close the eyes down,
Telling yourself that right now there is nothing you need to do,
But be conscious and aware of slowing the body right down and we'll start with allowing ourselves to relax the shoulders,
Relax the arms,
Letting the arms rest beside your body and your head rest back and as you allow the body to slow down and settle down,
Now feel the surface beneath your body as if it's holding your body,
Now as if you can melt back and sink back into the surface and so as you lay down,
The body becomes softer,
Heavier and just melting into this oneness of whatever surface you are lying on and as we quieten the mind,
We allow ourselves to just be here reminding ourselves we are more than what we achieve and produce and that we deserve to be and when we can now allow the body to really slow down.
Let's start with letting the head rest and the back body is now sinking more into the surface you're laying on,
You're becoming more relaxed and more at ease and let's together just start to become aware of our breath and this breath as if you can breathe in life and breathe in the fullness of this moment where you are actively present with yourself and when you breathe in,
Can you remember the slowness of the earth around you and let's breathe again into the body,
Breathing into the back of your heart that is actively beating here alive and when we breathe out through the heart,
Can we breathe out any burdens or stresses that are weighing on our heart just allowing them to go streaming down and out,
Connecting with where the stress is lying in your body today.
Let's scan around the body,
Maybe there is this burdening in your shoulders,
In your belly or in your lower back,
Wherever this stress feels in your body let's breathe into that area together and as if the breath is soothing where the stress is living and lying right now and softening it until you can melt it away as you breathe out.
Let's try that again,
Let's breathe into this area of stress wherever it is laying in the body and when we breathe,
You can say in your mind this is not serving me and I can let go whatever it is that's weighing you down today and just allow the body to pause for a moment and just allow yourself to say that in this moment it's good that I am being and it's good that I am slowing down,
This serves me,
This fuels me and it is enough for me to stop.
Now bring awareness back again to the aliveness in your heart and just breathe into the body again,
Returning to whatever it is you are going to do today from a place of ease and permission to be.
Now bring your hands onto the body somewhere,
Press the feeling of your hands into your body and take a nice breath again into your body,
Just slowly come back into the room,
Very gently,
Blink the eyes open again.
