Kapalabhati, also known as the Skull Shining Breath, is an active and energizing breathwork technique designed to awaken your inner fire, clear mental fog, and invigorate your entire system. Through short, powerful exhalations and passive inhalations, this rhythmic breathing activates the solar plexus, increases oxygen flow, and stimulates focus and vitality. This guided practice helps you release stagnation, boost clarity, and tap into a deep sense of alert presence. Perfect for mornings or whenever you need to recharge your energy and ignite your inner light.

Transcript

Welcome to another guided breathwork meditation brought to you by Transcend Healing and Breathwork.

My name is Dean Cramp and I will be your instructor for this breathwork audio.

If you have breathed to this track before at this time you can fast forward to two minutes.

Today we will be practicing Skull Shining Breath or Kabal Bhati.

It's an ancient yogic breath technique that uses sharp rhythmic exhales to detoxify the body and energize the mind.

It clears stagnant air from the lungs,

Boosts oxygen flow to the brain and awakens your internal fire,

Making it ideal for mental clarity and digestive activation.

To practice this technique sit in a comfortable upright position with your spine long,

Your shoulders relaxed.

Place your hands on your knees or your belly and take a deep breath in.

Then begin snapping your belly inward with each sharp exhale through the nose like a quick ah.

While allowing the inhale to happen naturally between each exhale,

Focus only on the exhale.

We'll start with 30 pumps at a steady pace,

About one per second.

Then inhale deeply,

Hold for a moment and exhale slowly.

And that will be one round.

Rest and repeat two to three times.

This breath is stimulating,

Purifying and deeply empowering and it's best practiced on an empty stomach,

Especially in the morning or before meditation.

Find yourself a comfortable position.

We will start with a cleansing breath,

Emptying all the air out of your lungs and we will begin in three,

Two,

One.

One more breath in and begin.

Just taking a few recovery breaths here.

Deep breath in.

Slight pause on the top,

Letting it all go.

Deep breath in.

Deep breath out.

Deep breath in.

Round two.

Checking in with yourself on how you feel.

If you feel you would like to go through a few more rounds,

Feel free to do so.

It has been an honor to breathe with you today.

Have an amazing rest of your day or evening.

Love and light to you all.

Namaste.
