Welcome back.
Have you ever wished for a peaceful escape?
A place where stress melts away and your mind it feels calm and clear.
In this meditation I'm going to guide you to the Garden of Peace.
It's a serene sanctuary where within your imagination you can connect to this sense of calm and your renewal.
And before we begin I want to introduce you to a quote that Rumi said,
Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop.
Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop.
Just as in trees shed their leaves to make space for new growth,
We too release our worries,
Our tensions,
Our stresses that no longer serve us.
And by letting go we create room for this clarity and peace to really take root.
And I was also reading a book called The Power of Now and Eckhart Tolle,
He is the author of this book,
He said some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something to emerge.
Now I know we're human,
I mean I'm a creature of habit and sometimes embracing change and letting go can feel so daunting.
And the old,
Even when burdensome,
Feels familiar.
But within this meditation we'll create a space where letting go becomes easier and a space of trust of possibilities that come with releasing what no longer serves us.
And so let's go ahead and begin the main meditation.
And to start just find a place where you can be comfortable and it's okay if you're sitting or lying down.
I just want you to allow your body to feel safe and supported and close your eyes.
And take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold it atop for just a moment and then exhale gently through your mouth letting everything go.
And go ahead begin breathing in and out through your nose if possible.
Just finding a pace that's just right for you.
Feel the edges of your eyes softening.
Let your jaw relax.
And your shoulders drop and melt.
With each breath you're settling into this moment of peace.
And on your inhale silently repeat these words,
Calm body.
And on your exhale silently repeat the words,
Calm mind.
Let's do this together for a few moments.
Breathing in,
Calm body.
And breathing out,
Calm mind.
And with each breath notice how the simple rhythm begins to relax you further.
Breathing in,
Calm body.
Breathing out,
Calm mind.
Gently scan your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
And imagine sending a wave of soft,
Healing light to those spots.
Like a warm light molding away tightness.
Notice if you need to shift or move,
Getting more comfortable.
And if you start thinking about this or that,
Just let your thoughts drift away like clouds in the sky.
And come back to repeating calm body on the in-breath.
And calm mind on the out-breath.
Slow the breath down.
Filling at ease.
Softly focusing on your breath.
Focusing on the area of your heart.
And your breath is slow and steady.
Imagine yourself standing at the entrance to a breathtaking garden.
The path stretches before you.
Lined with vibrant flowers in full bloom.
Their color is rich and varied.
The air carries a fresh sense of greenery,
Mingled with a sweet fragrance of blossoms.
As you take your first step,
Breathe in calm body.
And exhale calm mind.
Around you,
A gentle breeze rustles the leaves.
And the soft sound of a bubbling brook fills the air.
Birds sing a quiet melody in the distance.
Stepping into this garden,
Letting its peaceful energy surround you.
Take a moment to fully immerse yourself,
Allowing this beauty and tranquility of the garden fill your senses.
As you walk along the path,
You notice a radiant butterfly.
Its wings shimmer in the sunlight.
A kaleidoscope of colors.
This butterfly is your guide.
It symbolizes transformation and peace.
Watch as it dances from flower to flower.
Inviting you to follow.
Each step feels lighter.
As though the weight of the world is lifting from your shoulders.
Breathe in calm body.
Breathe out calm mind.
Follow the butterfly deeper into the garden.
Notice the diversity of plants and flowers.
Each one unique and beautiful.
Feel the soft grass under your feet.
Cool and grounding.
The sounds of the garden surround you.
The rustling leaves.
The bubbling brook.
And the occasional sweet call of a bird.
Each sound seems to carry away any remaining tension.
Leaving you feel more at ease.
With each breath,
Breathe in calm body.
Breathe out calm mind.
Soon,
The butterfly leads you into a clearing.
In the center,
There is a tranquil pond.
Its surface smooth and reflective like glass.
The butterfly lands on a flower nearby as if to say,
This is your place to rest.
Take a seat by the pond and gaze into its clear waters.
You see reflection surrounded by the beauty of the garden.
This reflection shows you as calm,
Serene,
And at peace.
Visualize the calming energy of the garden surrounding you.
Filling you with a deep sense of relaxation.
Feel this energy flowing through you soothing every part of your being.
Allow yourself to fully embrace this moment of peace and letting go of any lingering worries or fears.
Knowing that in this garden,
You are safe,
Protected,
And at ease.
As you sit by this pond,
Take a moment to reflect on the tranquility that you feel.
Know that this peace is not limited to this garden.
It's always within you,
Ready to be called upon whenever you need it.
Affirm and repeat these words to yourself.
I can carry this sense of calm and clarity within me.
I can carry this sense of calm and clarity within me.
This peace is mine to return to whenever I need it.
This peace is mine to return to whenever I need it.
Breathe in calm body.
Breathe out calm mind.
As my voice fades into the background,
Let this sense of peace deepen.
Feel your inner wisdom becoming clearer.
Guiding you gently.
Rest here in this sanctuary next to this tranquil pond.
Embracing the calm and clarity until my voice returns.
As we prepare to leave the garden of peace,
Take a moment to reflect on what you've cultivated here.
Calm clarity and the ability to release what no longer serves you.
Think back to the quote from Rumi.
Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop.
Think of the leaves that you've let go of today.
Distresses worries or fears.
And know that in their place you've created space for peace,
Renewal,
And growth.
As you slowly bring your attention back to the sound of my voice,
Begin to shift your focus to your breath.
Let each inhale just gently awaken your body,
Bringing energy and clarity.
And feel yourself becoming more alert and more aware as your attention centers in your heart.
And take a moment here to listen deeply from within.
For any bits of guidance or peace this garden has offered you,
Reflect on what feels most important and what you want to carry with you.
Take three slower,
Deeper breaths and with each inhale,
Remember the calm and tranquility of this place.
And with each exhale,
Let that peace settle into your being.
When you're ready,
Gently shift your awareness to your body.
Bring your attention to your feet and begin rotating your ankles,
Pointing and flexing your toes.
Let this energy travel all the way up through your legs and your hips,
Your chest and across your shoulders and down your arms as you open and close your hands.
Feel this energy move up through your throat,
Softening your jaw and easing the edge of your nose and the edges of your eyes.
Now,
With your next breath,
Gently open your eyes and let your gaze softly rest in front of you,
Just feeling more alert,
Refreshed and grounded in this moment.
And if it feels right,
Take a few minutes to grab your journal and reflect on this experience in this garden.
Maybe the calm,
The guidance and how you might bring peace into your day.
Thank you so much for joining me today and I invite you to come back to this garden of peace to seek out this calming energy whenever you need support and relaxation.
And until next time,
I wish you peace and gratitude.
