Welcome to MindBodyRefresh meditation.
I'm Janna,
And today we practice gently and briefly syncing the mind and body to refresh and reset.
Gently close your eyes.
Begin to bring awareness to the last thought you just had or can recall.
Without overthinking,
In just a few words,
Repeat the thought to yourself.
And now,
Simply name it a thought.
Recognize it is merely a thought passing through your mind.
It holds no value unless you attach a feeling or a story or a belief to it.
Now,
As best you can,
Allow the thought to float away as all thoughts can.
No thoughts can be released.
They're simply moving creations of the mind.
Now,
Let's focus on the body.
Notice your body also creates movement.
Breathing creates movement.
Begin to slow your breath slightly until you're able to notice each inhale and exhale.
I'll cue you to count breaths and coordinate your breath with my voice.
Inhale one,
Exhale one.
Inhale two,
Exhale two.
Inhale three,
Exhale three.
Release the count.
Your mind was just moving with your body.
When the mind and body are connected and in sync,
You refresh and restore this vital connection to yourself as a whole.
Notice you are both mind and body,
And you're most complete and least triggered when mind and body are synchronized.
Thoughts simply lure the mind away from the body.
The mind thinks,
The body feels.
This refresh is a realignment of mind and body.
We bring thinking and feeling into harmony.
Now,
Bring your mind or your awareness to your hands.
Your hands have a high concentration of nerve signals or felt senses.
There's lots to feel in the hands.
On one hand,
Slowly rub your index finger against your thumb.
Now,
Rub them with such precision and focus that you can feel the individual ridges of your fingertips.
Gently bring both hands together,
Palm to palm,
Fingertips to fingertips.
Now,
Let one hand slide down the other from the fingertips all the way down to the bottom of the palm.
Then switch hands and do the same.
Gently repeat this practice slowly,
Noticing all the sensations in the hands,
Feeling the grooves,
The ridges,
The curves,
The softness of the hands.
In this moment,
One hand is feeling through the fingertips and the other is being felt,
Feeling and sensing with the body and noticing the feeling with the mind.
The sensation is enhanced when the mind and body are in sync as they are now.
You're refreshing this alignment.
The mind returns from the lure of the thoughts when it connects with the body.
As your hands are touching,
Feeling,
And sensing,
You're reinforcing this mind-body connection.
Now,
Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
As we breathe,
Know that if a thought arises,
You can simply release it as you did at the beginning.
Bring your awareness to the movement of your breath once again and slow it down just enough to notice the chest rising and the belly expanding on the inhale and the chest falling and the belly deflating on the exhale.
Now,
Count seven full breaths in your head at your own pace and release the count wherever you are.
Your mind is in sync with your body.
Know you can refresh and re-sync at any time throughout the day.
This is how you find your own wisdom on tap.
This intuitive mind-body connection.
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for meditating with me.
May the universe bring us back together soon.
