I've got a little practice for you to help set the tone for having a deeply sacred day.
So find a comfortable position if you can,
Seated or lying down,
Allowing you to really relax into your body,
Allowing your body to settle and bringing your attention inward.
Take a deep,
Soothing breath in through your nose,
Holding it at the top,
Feeling the breath fill your entire being before releasing slowly out your mouth,
Letting go of tension or stress one more time,
Hold at the top and release,
Coming into your body.
As you continue to breathe deeply and steadily,
Allow yourself to sink into a state of calmness,
Saddening each breath,
Drawing you closer to your inner peace,
A sense of quietude where sacred moments begin to reveal themselves.
Picture the ordinary moments of your day,
The really simple things that often go unnoticed.
Picture them bathed in a soft,
Golden light,
Gentle and warm that invites you to view these moments as deeply sacred.
With each inhale,
Invite the light to fill your heart with awareness.
And on the exhale,
Release any distractions or judgments you might have about these moments,
Allowing yourself to simply witness the beauty in the everyday.
So the grace in your morning routine,
The serenity of taking your dog for a walk,
The comfort of a familiar place,
Reflect on the times when you felt truly present.
As it was sharing a smile,
In a breath taken deeply,
In a moment of stillness,
Sitting on a mountain or lying in the grass.
See these moments as precious,
Deeply valuable pieces of your life.
They are your sacred spaces and they crave your attention and your gratitude.
And imagine yourself embracing these moments fully,
Recognizing their value and the peace that they bring and allow a profound connection to wash over you.
Knowing these moments hold the potential to enrich your life with sacredness.
As you breathe in,
Softly repeat to yourself,
I honor the sacred in my life.
I embrace the beauty of the ordinary moments and cherish their presence.
These words resonate deeply within you,
Nurturing this sense of reverence,
Joy.
When you're ready,
You can gently begin to bring your awareness back to the presence.
Wiggling your fingers,
Maybe having a luxurious stretch,
You can open your eyes and carry this feeling of sacredness with you into your day and allow it to guide you through the day with a renewed sense of appreciation and presence and recognition,
Allowing you to open your mind to seeing all of these sacred moments for what they are.
