Hi lovely and welcome to this yoga nidra.

Today we're going to use our yoga nidra to connect to our inner goddess.

So let's grab what you need for your yoga nidra,

Maybe your lighting bed,

Maybe a lid somewhere else like your yoga mat or the floor.

Wherever you are make sure you're that you're nice and cozy and comfortable.

So you almost want to be a little bit too warm because our body temperature drops while we do a yoga nidra.

So grab some extra cushions or blankets if you need it.

Have a little fidget if you need it,

Make sure that you're totally comfortable.

Is there something that you need to just move or adjust?

Take it now so that we can try and stay as still as possible during the practice.

And when you're ready,

Closing your eyes or lowering the eyelids,

Starting to settle in,

Feeling your body softening,

The fear softening.

Let the jaw release and the tongue rest behind the lower teeth,

Deepening the breath.

And with each exhale,

Relaxing,

Feeling the body resting.

And with each exhale,

Continuing with these deep breaths,

Feeling safe and secure.

Let's take a moment now to plant a sankalpa or an intention,

A heart's desire,

A personal affirmation of something that you would like to grow in your life.

I'm going to repeat some affirmations out loud.

You can say them to yourself,

To your heart and to your soul,

Quietly with meaning.

I am guided and supported by an abundant and nurturing feminine force.

I trust my intuition and my body's innate wisdom.

I am empowered and supported in all that I do.

It is safe for me to be the woman that I uniquely am.

If there's anything else you'd like to say to the universe,

Repeat your personal sankalpa,

Your heart's desire,

Three times now with meaning.

These intentions are now planted.

They will start to grow from now on and become true in your life.

I'm going to move your awareness now through the different parts of the body.

Just listen and as I name each body part,

Feel each one illuminated,

Empowered and reclaim it as yours.

Then move on to the next body part as I name it.

Bring your awareness to the third eye,

Your center of wisdom and intuition,

In the middle of the forehead above the eyebrows.

Feel the third eye illuminated and empowered.

The whole body shining.

Illuminated.

Empowered.

Claimed as your own.

Breathe in the light of illumination.

And breathe out anything that you don't need.

With each breath becoming brighter.

And claiming your breath and your body.

Be aware now.

That you are completely relaxed.

But also completely alert.

Completely relaxed.

But completely alert.

Both opposites are present and true in this moment.

Scan with your awareness through the body.

And find all the places that feel soft.

Gentle and receptive.

Where in your body feels soft.

Gentle and receptive.

Be curious.

Locate the places and allow these feelings to fill you up.

Softness.

Gentleness.

Receptivity.

Now let these sensations fade.

Scan the body again.

But this time.

Locate all the parts of the body.

That are firm.

Strong.

And assertive.

Where in your body feels firm.

Strong.

And assertive.

Let these sensations fill you up.

Firmness.

Strength.

Assertiveness.

Let them fill you up as you breathe.

Now also.

Invite the gentleness.

Softness.

And receptivity.

So that both opposites are present in the body.

Present in sensation.

Present in awareness.

Let them both be true.

The feminine is peaceful.

Receptive and nurturing.

The feminine is fierce and strong.

The warrior goddess.

Hold both opposites.

Know that both are true.

Engage with the goddess within.

And allow both to be true.

Now let the images and sensations fade.

And bring the awareness back to the body.

Bringing the awareness back to the third eye.

Engaging with the imagination and wisdom of this energy centre.

Imagine now that you are in a beautiful place.

A beautiful place in nature.

It can be somewhere imaginary.

Or somewhere you've been.

Somewhere beautiful.

Where you feel peaceful.

What do you hear?

What do you see?

What can you smell?

What temperature is it?

What time of day?

What season?

As you gaze around this beautiful place in nature.

And absorb its beauty.

You see a path.

A path that is safe and just for you.

You start to walk along the path through this beautiful place.

Feeling contented.

Up ahead you see a building.

Intuitively you know it's a sacred place.

A temple to the goddess.

Maybe it's a particular goddess you connect with.

Or simply a temple of the feminine.

You walk towards it.

And start to see its features.

You are excited to see it and enter.

You walk towards the entrance.

And the doorway opens to invite you in.

You are welcomed by the goddess.

She's so happy to see you there.

So happy you have come to visit.

Allow yourself to greet her in whatever way feels right.

Perhaps she has something to say to you.

Perhaps you explore the temple together.

Take a few moments to spend time with the goddess in this sacred space.

Listen to what she has to say.

Observe what she wants to show you.

The goddess now beckons you towards a pool of water.

It is clear and shining.

Its reflective surface is like a mirror.

She invites you to look within.

As you look into the water.

She touches the surface with her fingers.

As she does this.

Images start to appear on the surface of the pool.

You watch the images in peaceful joy.

The images are a reminder of the goddess' presence in all of nature.

You see a flower blooming.

A flower blooming.

Now a cat is reclining in the sun.

A cat is reclining in the sun.

A colourful autumn leaf dances in the breeze.

A quartz crystal is sparkling and glowing in the light.

Waves lapping on a sandy shore.

A dark sky full of stars.

A candle with a moving flame.

A bird building a nest.

Fields being harvested.

A full banquet table.

A door drinking from a clear pool.

A dark and empty sky.

A crescent moon in the sky.

A moon half full in the sky.

A moon three quarters full in the sky.

A full glowing moon in the sky.

The goddess touches the pool of water again.

And the images start to fade.

It turns back to clear.

You know your time with the goddess is coming to an end.

She may have a final something to say to you.

Or something to show you in this sacred space.

Take a few moments for her to share with you whatever gift she has for you.

As you bid the goddess farewell.

You know you can return and connect with her whenever you want.

For now,

You leave the temple.

Coming back to your place in nature.

You walk along the path.

Feeling grateful for the time you have spent with the goddess.

Stand in your place in nature.

Take a final look around at the colours and shapes.

As you do,

Its features begin to fade.

Bring your awareness back now to the third eye.

The expansive space.

The infinite.

Become aware of your breath.

Of your heart centre.

Recall now.

This encalper.

The intention.

Which you set at the beginning of the practice.

As we did at the beginning.

I will repeat some out loud.

Say them to yourself.

To your heart.

To your soul.

With meaning.

I am guided and supported by an abundant and nurturing feminine force.

I trust my intuition.

And my body's innate wisdom.

I am empowered and supported in all that I do.

It is safe for me to be the woman that I uniquely am.

Repeat now your personal affirmation.

Your heart's desire.

Three times.

These intentions.

These encalpers.

Are now planted.

They will now start to grow.

And become true in your life.

Sense now.

All that you are aware of.

The sounds around you.

The sensations.

The sensations of your body.

The floor beneath you.

The room around you.

The body breathing.

Everything is perfect and just as it should be.

Keeping your eyes closed.

Start to deepen your breath.

And if you are in bed and you want to go to sleep.

Please just turn this off now.

If you have more of your day still to come.

Start now to wiggle your fingers and toes.

And bring some movement back into the body.

When you are ready.

Bend your knees and plant your feet.

And roll over onto one side.

Resting on your side.

Slowly start to blink open your eyes.

Adjusting to the light in the room.

The practice.

Of yoga nidra.

Is now over.

Stay where you are for a few moments.

Just gazing around the room.

At the colours and the shapes.

And the textures that you can see.

Bringing yourself gently back to wherever you are.

Taking as much time as you need.

Before you come back to sit.

I hope you enjoyed this yoga nidra.

I'll see you very soon.
