Hi,

I'm Lindsay.

Thank you for joining me to take a few minutes for yourself and your well-being.

May this practice be like a soothing balm to your soul in times of distress.

Let's begin with a few slow,

Easy breaths.

Start to bring your awareness to your body.

What sensations are you experiencing in this moment?

Notice any places of tension,

Any subtle buzzing or vibration,

The pace of your heart.

Bring your hand to any area of the body with a lot of sensation.

This sensation might be part of a protective response from stress.

Thank your body for being on alert.

Thank your body for trying to keep you safe.

Begin to gently move and even shake your body a little,

Especially any of those areas with a lot of sensation.

Shake your muscles and limbs,

Release any stuck energy.

This type of movement can help complete the body stress cycle.

Become aware of the surfaces that are supporting your body.

This might be the ground or the furniture beneath you.

See if your body is ready to start to relax.

It might become a little softer,

A little heavy.

Notice where in your body there is a felt sense of support.

I invite you to say to yourself,

I can relax because I am safe.

I can relax because I am safe.

Everything is okay in this moment.

Everything is okay in this moment.

Take a long,

Slow inhale,

Expanding the belly and the rib cage.

Sigh out your mouth with an open mouth exhale.

Let's do that again.

Inhale.

Exhale out your mouth.

Release your jaw.

Think of a place where you feel completely at ease.

Picture this peaceful place in your mind.

What do you see?

Notice the environment,

The sounds,

The smells,

Colors,

Textures.

How does your body feel in this place?

Immerse yourself in this comfortable,

Peaceful,

Magical environment.

Repeat again to yourself,

I can relax because I am safe.

I can relax because I am safe.

Everything is okay in this moment.

Everything is okay in this moment.

Start to bring your awareness back to your current surroundings.

Check in with your body,

Your breath.

May you carry this sense of peace with you throughout the rest of your day.

Be well,

My friend.
