Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for being here with me today and allowing me to spend this Christmas with you.
Even though you may be on your own this Christmas,
You're not alone in how you feel or your experience and I want you to know that today can still be filled with meaning and you know what even a touch of joy because what you're doing is giving yourself the greatest gift of all.
The gift of quality time with yourself and the gift of growth.
So before we dive into this meditation I want you to realize that this could actually be your most insightful and uplifting Christmas to date.
So when you're ready,
Settle into your space and make yourself comfy.
Ensure that your back is upright and together let's take a deep breath in through the nose and slowly exhale.
Notice how you feel right now in this moment.
Take note of the muscles in your body.
Have any of them tensed up?
If so,
Relax any muscles that may be tense.
Take note of your breath now.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
You don't have to change anything you're just observing the patterns of how you breathe.
Notice how deep each breath naturally is.
Take note now of the sensations of the breath.
How does it feel when you breathe?
Notice how the air flows in and out through the nostrils and the sensations that come with it.
Notice the flow of your breath as you breathe in and out of your nose.
Take note of your belly as you breathe now in and out through your stomach.
Notice the movements of your belly with each inhale and exhale movements.
Maybe subtle or maybe feeling like a balloon that inflates and deflates as you breathe in and out.
And now take note of your chest.
The movements of your chest as you breathe in and out at a natural pace.
Notice how the skin stretches when you each breath naturally.
Which breath is deeper?
The inhales or the exhales?
Are there any other movements resulting from your breath?
Do your shoulders move a little?
Just observe the general sensations of the breath.
If thoughts occur that's fine.
Just notice a thought and gently go back to feeling each inhale and then feeling each exhale.
Every breath you take is a reminder that you are here and your presence in this world matters.
You are exactly where you need to be right now.
This moment is yours to cherish.
Notice how you're feeling in this moment.
I know that no matter how you're feeling it is okay.
There is no right or wrong way to feel today.
Just be.
Explore where the energy lies and then go back to your breath when it feels right.
Now repeat the following affirmations after me.
I am enough.
I am deserving of love and peace.
This moment of quiet is a gift I give myself because I love myself.
I love my own company.
Take a moment here to let those affirmations settle and you may repeat them a couple more times if needed.
Now picture yourself in a cozy warmly lit space.
Maybe there's a fire crackling or soft holiday lights twinkling around you.
This place is unique to you.
As you are seated there feel the softness of a blanket around your shoulders and the peace of this space you have created just for yourself.
What kind of smell is there in this space?
Are there any sounds maybe coming from this space?
What feelings of gratitude resurface as you are pleasantly immersed in this beautiful moment?
Take a few moments.
Feel this place.
To your left you notice a beautiful Christmas tree.
Its strong steady presence reminds you of your own resilience and your ability to weather life's seasons.
Now notice yourself holding a cup of warm tea or cacao.
Feel the warmth of the cup in your hands.
Notice how you feel when you hold this cup.
Can you smell the aromas that may be emanating from this cup?
Take a small sip for a few moments.
Just explore its flavor.
Take another sip and this time let its warmth spread through you bringing a sense of peace and joy.
As you're sitting here in this special place you have manifested of pure comfort and joy you notice a soft breeze brushing against your skin carrying away your worries and bringing in a sense of lightness and peace to your heart.
Now right in front of you imagine a beautifully wrapped gift box placed on the table.
Take note of how it looks emblazoned with your favorite colors and a beautiful ribbon.
You reach out to it and hold it in your hands.
Notice how it feels,
Its size.
Now let's open it.
As you lift the lid of the box a soft glowing light spills out.
It fills the room around you wrapping you in its gentle warmth.
This isn't just any light it is a reflection of your own inner glow.
Your capacity to bring kindness,
Peace and love into this world.
And let me tell you there is no greater gift.
Let this light remind you that even in solitude you carry within you all the brightness you need.
Let these energies now flow through your body.
Take a few moments to embrace how it feels.
Soak it in.
Notice how your body feels this second.
Spend a few more breaths enjoying the warmth of this space and together let's take a deep breath in through the nose and slowly exhale.
Notice the temperature in the space you're currently in.
Notice any sounds.
The surface on which you are seated.
How does it feel?
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
Let's go back to the breath.
Now I'm going to count to 10 and when I get to 10 you will open your eyes feeling revived and refreshed and ready to continue celebrating the Christmas spirit.
1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7,

Open your eyes now and welcome back your physical surroundings.
Take a few moments to descend in your own time.
As you move forward with your day remember that the peace and warmth you felt here are always within you.
You are enough just as you are and this gift you've given yourself this Christmas is something you can cherish for the rest of your life.
