How do you balance it all?

That's the question I am often asked by my clients and friends,

Mothers and others.

And that's what I want to answer today.

But that might not be the typical answer you're looking for.

There's no magic wand here.

I don't have a step by step balance sheet,

Checklist,

Whatever.

I couldn't find a word.

No,

That's not it.

Because my answer to balance is emotion.

Leading my life with emotion.

So let me be a bit more specific and clarify that for you,

Because I think it's a bit gibberish,

Right?

For me,

Balance doesn't mean anything.

There's no definition of balance.

It's a very abstract concept that is unique to each of us.

And instead of spending months,

Years of trying to find this balance of what it means to you and what it is that you have to achieve to achieve balance.

Look at what you think being balanced would make you feel.

It's so much easier and so much quicker.

So instead of having a full to the list of I have to do all that so I will feel balanced.

This is so overwhelming and just completely impossible.

The only thing that you need to focus on and know is how do you want to feel?

How do you want to feel every day when you wake up throughout the day and when you go to bed?

I guess you have a much more understanding and much easier way to find an answer to that question rather than finding the answer of what does balance mean to me?

How do I achieve balance?

Right?

Because I believe that you should lead your days with emotion.

That's what I'm saying.

You just need to know how you want to feel every day.

So tell me,

How do you want to feel?

I'm guessing present,

Calm,

At peace,

Content,

Motivated,

Alive.

Just answer that question.

When I feel blank,

My life seems balanced enough.

Do you know how you want to feel?

For me,

I just want to feel present and calm.

These are the two emotions that I intentionally focus on every single day.

Because the balance is sometimes doing more work,

Some days it's all about work,

Some days it's all about family.

But I don't need to know that.

I just need to know that every day I focus on being present with my kids and feeling calm and content.

That's basically it.

So what does that really mean?

Right?

When you have to make a choice,

Tap into your intuition,

Feel your body and choose the one that will make you feel the way you want to feel.

If I do A,

Will that help me feel more present or more calm?

If I do B or C,

Which decision,

Which action,

Communication,

Whatever,

Will help me make me feel the way I want to feel every day?

Many people have the misconception that they would be happy if they have more money.

I was there too.

Money does help for sure,

But it will never ever guarantee happiness.

Happiness is an inside job.

Balance,

Feeling balanced is a full inside job.

I don't have an answer for you.

I don't even have an answer for me.

Because the only thing is I want to feel present,

Calm and content and motivated and alive.

Of course,

All those very good feelings.

That's all I want to feel.

I don't want to feel stressed.

I don't want to feel angry.

I don't want to yell at my children.

This I know.

It's easy to know.

How to reach that?

How to reach that?

I just tune in every time I have to make a decision.

Every time I take an action,

I tune in and I make sure that this is going to support me feeling the way I want to feel.

Does that make sense?

I hope it does.

And if it doesn't,

I really want to chat with you.

And I want to make sure that this concept of emotion,

Of targeting and being clear with your emotion rather than being clear with your life goals.

I really want you to grasp that because for me,

It's just life changing.

It's changed my life completely.

It removes all the overwhelm.

There's no really to the list.

It's just like there's nice things to do.

But the most important is day after day,

Minutes after minute,

Focusing on feeling the way you want to feel.

That's it.

It's so much easier,

Really.

And let me ask you these questions to go a bit deeper.

Would you be willing to sacrifice your day to day well-being to reach a goal?

Would it be better to live every day with the intention to be happy,

Calm and present?

So all the decisions you make are taken from the place of I want to feel.

Life has so much to offer you only if you lead your life with your emotions.
