In this practice for self love and self worth, we install a sense of safety and remembering. Using Havening Touch, and "iffamations", this meditation will really help you on your self love journey. It will help shift your self talk and bring you into a space where you can connect to the inner voice of love inside of you, which is so healing for those parts which feel doubt and not-enoughness. I am grateful to Karena Neukirchner of Hello Inner Light, here on Insight Timer, for giving me permission to share this practice with you.

Hello my friend,

Thank you for joining me for this practice for self-love and self-worth.

Where we ask,

What if it's safe for me to see the beauty in myself,

To see the best,

To fully accept myself,

To soften the harsh places and replace them with love.

This practice will really help you on your self-love journey,

It'll help shift your self-talk and bring you into a safer space,

A more spacious space where you can connect to the inner voice of love inside of you,

Which is so healing for parts that are looking for that healing.

We're going to use Havening Touch in this practice,

Which is scientifically proven to produce delta waves in the brain and release chemicals in the body that make us feel good.

Serotonin,

Endorphins,

Dopamine and oxytocin,

All associated with our well-being.

While we're offering that touch,

We're going to ask ourselves questions based on what if,

These are called affirmations and our body receives them into those subconscious places where we have deeply ingrained patterns and they change those patterns.

Affirmations often work wonderfully for people who find affirmations inauthentic or difficult to resonate with.

So I'll guide you in this touch,

There are three types of touch,

We're going to do all three.

The first is to rub your hands together from side to side,

So you're moving your arms from side to side while rubbing your palms together,

Slowly.

Beautiful.

The next is to slowly stroke down from your shoulders towards your elbows,

So crossing your arms across your body and stroking shoulder to elbows.

And then finally we stroke our cheeks or our forehead in any way that feels good,

Just stroking your face.

So when you're ready,

Get comfortable in your spot,

Breathe in and out of your heart,

Softening inward,

Softening your skin,

Your face and your shoulders.

Feeling the support underneath you holding you and then rubbing your palms together.

Begin to ask yourself the following questions.

What if it's safe for me to see the beauty in myself?

What if it's okay for me to see the best in myself?

Stroking down from your shoulders to your elbows.

What if I can soften my heart towards my past mistakes?

What if I can embrace my perceived imperfections?

What if I can let my old stories and self judgments go?

Stroking your face.

What if I start to look at myself through a more loving lens?

What if I start to treat myself with respect?

Rubbing your palms together side to side.

What if I can listen to the deep calling of my heart?

What if I can attune to the essence of who I truly am?

What if I can open myself to deeper self acceptance every day?

Stroking from your shoulders down to your elbows.

What if I am enough?

What if I am more than enough?

Stroking your face.

What if I can open myself to a deeper self?

What if there is so much more to me than I even know right now?

I'm open to the possibility of loving myself.

I'm ready to change my relationship with my wonderful self.

I'm choosing to learn a new way.

And then just rest your arms by your body and tune inwards to what you're feeling right now.

How does it feel to be open to the possibility of loving yourself or loving yourself more?

Knowing that you're ready to change your relationship with yourself into one that is loving and kind and honouring.

How does that feel?

And what will you take forward?

We're always in a process of self-discovery and unveiling more love.

There are always parts of us that are at different stages,

So honour every part.

Know that the more you do this practice,

The more every part of you will surrender and soften into feeling safe with what you're offering.

Keep going.

You might want to join our lives,

Learning to love ourselves again,

Which happen every week,

Or our group here on Insight Timer,

The Self Love Club.

We'd love to see you there.

Until next time.

Thank you for blessing this space.

Thank yourself for practicing.

And see you next time.

I appreciate this different approach with iffamations. It helped me to ask questions of myself that I’m not sure I’ve ever asked myself before. I also appreciate the different use of touch. I’ll be listening to this meditation again in the future.

Thank you Alison. This resonated with me and makes me realise how I truly must acknowledge that I need so much more self love. I tend to think I do but my actions prove otherwise. Would love to join your club.
