In this meditation, the practitioner is invited to scan the body for and send wellness to any parts of the body that are holding tension or discomfort. Then the listener will send the calmness and healing properties of the breath to those spaces. There are affirmations for self-acceptance that the listener can recite to themselves, out loud, or journal.

Namaste and welcome to this meditation on embracing yourself as you are.

Find a quiet and relaxing space seated or lying down.

Feel free to have your journal handy and use this as a journaling meditation.

Close the eyes if it feels safe and gently start to breathe into and out of the nose.

Start to scan the body from the top of the head,

Relaxing as you go and sending the calmness of your breath to any area that is experiencing tension.

Relaxing the forehead,

Relaxing the jaw,

Loosen the neck,

Lighten the shoulders,

Release your elbows,

Your wrists,

And each and every finger.

Let your breath be easy,

Let the chest rise and fall,

Soften your belly,

Let the hips sink deeply,

Loosen your knees,

Loosen your ankles,

And each and every toe.

Feel free to say these to yourself out loud or journal them.

I am enough,

I love myself unconditionally,

I am worthy just as I am,

I am perfect and complete just the way I am.

I am compassionate and warm to my body,

I love my body as it is today,

I give my body the respect it deserves,

I appreciate my body for it gives me life,

I am comfortable in my own skin,

I bless my body with nutritious food,

I listen to my body's needs,

My body is a work of art,

I treat my body well,

I have abundant energy,

Vitality,

And well-being,

There are so many incredible things that my body can do.
