Namaste and welcome to this meditation for authentic communication.
Find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.
You may sit or lie down as long as you are comfortable.
Close your eyes gently if that feels safe.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.
First,
Just simply observe,
Noticing the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale,
And exhale.
Inhale for 1,
2,
3,
4,
Hold 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
And exhale.
Inhale for 1,
2,
3,
4,
Hold 2,
3,
4,
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Hold 2,
3,
4,
And exhale 2,
3,
4,
And return to a normal state of breathing.
Notice any difference that you feel now versus before you started the breathing exercise.
Simply return to a normal breath,
Settling into the body,
Relaxing the mind,
Loosen the jaw,
Let your shoulders be light,
Let your belly be soft,
Release any tension in the knees,
In the feet,
In the hands.
Imagine a gentle,
Warm light surrounding you,
A light of clarity and truth,
And then envision this light at the core of who you are,
At your core,
In your gut,
Your solar plexus area.
This represents your authentic self,
The core of who you are.
Next,
Visualize a clear,
Flowing river.
This river represents the flow of communication.
And envision this river flowing freely from the throat and the mouth,
Noticing how the water moves effortlessly,
Adapting,
And always moving forward.
Next,
Envision that you are walking up to a pool of water,
A very still pool of water,
So still that it looks like a mirror,
And the water reflects your true self.
You see your light,
The core of who you are,
Reflected in the water,
Your inner wisdom,
Continuing to breathe in and out.
Consider a recent conversation where you felt you could have communicated more effectively.
Maybe you held back,
Maybe you made yourself small,
Maybe you didn't say what you really meant,
Maybe you weren't honest,
Maybe you were hurtful,
Maybe you spoke without intention.
Envision that conversation happening again,
But this time you're filled with the warm light of your core being.
You envision your voice and your true expression,
Your authentic self,
Flowing like a river.
And you see this honesty and this clarity reflected back to you.
You express your true thoughts with kindness,
With respect,
With honesty and authenticity.
You listen deeply,
Because communication is not just speaking,
It's also listening.
Truly hearing,
Truly listening,
Not only to yourself but to others.
Creating space for understanding and connection.
Communication is more than just words,
It's your energy,
Your presence and your intention.
Feel the strength of your inner voice,
The power of your truth.
Expressing yourself as a gift to yourself and to the world.
And you express yourself in many ways.
Through acts of kindness,
By being present,
By showing up,
Through spoken and written word,
Through art,
Through creative expression.
See yourself connecting with others on a deeper level,
Building bridges of understanding and compassion.
Reciting to yourself,
I am a clear and authentic communicator.
I speak my truth with kindness and confidence.
I listen with an open heart and I honor and own my voice and the voices of others.
Let the image of the river fade gently.
Let the image of the core light fade in the mirror of the still pool.
Slowly fading as you breathe in and out.
Connecting to the body,
Coming back to the present moment.
