Today I'm going to share another way to drop from your head to your heart through centering prayer.

Asking for guidance releases control and lets you surrender to the flow of the universe.

By releasing our concerns,

Our worries,

Our thoughts on how it must be to the universe,

We are able to cultivate the peace that is available to us when we get out of our minds and breathe a little deeper.

When we are able to hear our inner knowing,

We are tapping into a more expansive and inclusive,

All-encompassing perspective that is always working for the good of all.

To be in alignment with this part of you is to be in the flow of all of life,

Ebbing and flowing like a tide in the ocean,

Following the next steps that lead you to purposeful,

Joyful and overwhelmingly fulfilling lives.

Step into this flow.

Slow down your breathing and feel how the earth's rhythm sinks with your breath.

How your breath sinks with the ocean's waves.

How the changing season affects your changing moods.

Dropping into the flow of life allows you to experience the present moment in all of its glory and magnificence.

So let's go within now and experience this flow for ourselves.

Gently close over your eyes and take a nice deep inhale through your nose.

Exhale as you sigh the breath out your open mouth.

Ahhhhh.

Do that two more times.

Inhale through the nose.

And sigh it out your open mouth.

Ahhhhh.

And one more time.

Inhale through the nose.

And sigh it out your mouth.

Ahhhhh.

Relaxing your shoulders down your back.

Find a straight but relaxed spine.

Scan your body now and release any other areas of tension.

Now start to bring your awareness from your mind down the center line of your body and into your chest.

Notice the rise and fall of your lungs and chest as you breathe in and out with your natural rhythm.

Just rest your awareness here and notice how your heartbeat and breath tend to fall into sync.

Rest here for the next few minutes and if your mind should wander you can use the mantra I'm here,

I'm listening to bring your awareness back to your inner knowing and the peaceful space where your breath and heartbeat meet.

I'm here,

I'm listening,

I'm here.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

I'm listening.

Now that you have connected to this peaceful inner knowing I'll share a centering prayer to open the lines of communication through you.

As soon as I finish the prayer feel free to ask a question of your inner knowing about something that's concerning you at the moment.

You may hear words or experience a gut feeling.

Just listen closely especially on the exhale.

Dear Higher Power,

I open myself to the love,

Guidance and protection found in stillness.

Your love overpowers any fears or worries that my mind attaches onto and releases them with ease.

I trust and follow the love and peace from within.

I wear this peaceful presence like a cloak of protection from all negativity.

Please flow through me and guide me to solutions and actions that are in the best interest of all.

To close our practice let's place our hand on our heart and thank our inner knowing for any guidance or peace received in this meditation.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Slowly start to bring your awareness back into the room to your feet on the floor,

To your hands and your lap and when you are ready open your eyes.
