Music Hey there,
Welcome back to the healing room.
Today we're going to talk about when we're sick and how to deal with being sick.
Because a lot of times I hear from you kids that you feel afraid when you're sick.
Like maybe you'll never get well again.
Or you just don't know what's going to happen to you.
Or you don't know how long you're going to be sick.
Or you just feel so bad that it's scary.
That you don't feel like yourself.
Or everybody else is out playing and you're in bed.
Or everybody is at school and you're not at school.
Or your parents are busy and you're alone as you're sick.
When I was a kid I was sick a lot.
I would be in bed sometimes weeks at a time.
So I had a poor immune system,
Meaning I couldn't fight off sicknesses.
But also when I was a little baby I had a bunch of accidents where I hurt my neck really badly.
Which then created a huge scoliosis or a curve in my spine.
So I spent a lot of time in chiropractor offices when I was a kid getting my spine straightened out as best they could.
So my childhood was different than a lot of other kids' childhoods.
So when my brother was able to do horseback riding and diving into the pool I wasn't allowed.
Because if I had fallen or if I hit my neck the wrong way diving into the pool I could have died.
So everybody kind of babied me and I remember wondering why.
Why?
What's wrong?
So I remember one time when we got out of the car and there was all of this ice and snow.
My parents just grabbing my arms and helping me across.
And I was like,
Huh,
I wonder why.
Here's how I didn't worry as a kid.
Every time I found myself in bed and I couldn't play with everyone else and do the chores and be part of the family,
There were four of us kids and two parents.
I just went into my imagination.
And so I didn't know I was in bed for days upon days.
I was so busy imagining all these cool scenes of getting well.
So I would imagine there were all these little guys,
Like little gnomes or little dwarfs,
Running along my bones in my body.
They had wheelbarrows and they had little pick axes and they would carry things and work on things and they were just working on the bones in my body.
I did not know anything about being a healer.
I didn't know I was going to be a healer.
It's just naturally what I did when I was in bed.
I imagined these whole scenes of all these little guys inside my body running along my bones like they were bridges,
Hanging from them like they were rock climbing,
And they were always working on things.
So let's do that.
Let's visualize.
When you're sick and you feel really,
Really,
Really bad and you're thinking,
Oh my gosh,
I'm in a terrible mood,
I'm so upset,
The first thing I would do is shift the mood because if you're happy and you're sick,
It's a completely different experience than if you are miserable and you're sick.
If you're happy and you're sick,
You just kind of float.
You just float and light,
As if you're in water,
But it's just light.
And you just enjoy your angels around you working on you to help you to get well.
But if you're miserable,
You accidentally shut out all the help.
So the spirit guides can't get into you because everything's black.
When we're miserable,
Our energy field just shrivels up and turns black.
Think of it like a plump purple grape as opposed to a shriveled little black or dark raisin.
That's what the energy field can do.
When we're upset and angry and hurt,
It kind of shrivels up.
And when we're happy and filled with light,
It fills out.
The quickest way to get well is to fill out the energy bubble.
If you've got a ton of light in there and that bubble's expanded a bit,
Kind of like blowing up a beach ball,
You just blow in the air and it gets bigger and bigger and bigger,
You're going to get well faster because there's a ton of light in your energy bubble that can heal your body.
But if you shrivel in and fall apart and throw a temper tantrum,
It's fine if you do that periodically here and there to get something out and then you feel better and then you say,
Okay,
I'm over it now,
I'm okay.
But if you stay in that place,
I'm miserable,
I'm miserable,
What happens is the energy field shrivels all up.
There's no light in there to heal the body.
So you can't get well.
So we need to be open.
We need a ton of light in there.
So here are a couple of visualizations that we can do.
Imagine that you're really,
Really healthy,
Even if you're not,
Even if you feel really bad.
Imagine that you're skipping along like a country road or a gravel road or a field,
Whatever you want to picture.
Just imagine you're skipping along.
Now imagine that you're by a creek and you're throwing rocks into the creek or you're skipping rocks across the water.
And now imagine a sunny,
Beautiful day and you're playing with a puppy or you're petting a cat in the grass.
Now imagine you're just lying back on the grass and you're just looking up at the beautiful sky with some clouds in it and you're breathing in the fresh air and you feel fantastic.
Now imagine that you're swimming deep underwater and it's so gorgeous under there and quiet.
And it feels so good and smooth.
And you're swimming easily.
You're so strong.
Now imagine coming up for air out of the water and the sun is shining and your skin is tan and you're muscular.
You climb out of the water onto the side.
And you just stretch because you feel so great.
We ask for this.
So now I turn this into a prayer.
We ask the angels and the spear guides to bring us this feeling of health.
We ask them to make us feel so great in our bodies.
We ask that whenever we feel bad in our bodies,
That the spear guides and the angels remove this feeling and help us to imagine and picture that we're well and help us to feel that energy of wellness.
We ask that we feel peaceful,
Unafraid.
We ask that we feel happy and fulfilled,
Content.
Content means that you just kind of love hanging out.
Your mom comes in or your dad comes in and checks on you and is all worried and says,
Are you okay?
And you're like,
Yeah.
You might have a fever and everything,
But you're just kind of floating and you're in your imagination.
In other words,
You're creating healing.
You're making yourself well because your thoughts are focused on wellness.
So your body quickly shifts and scrambles to make itself well.
And I would do this day in and day out,
Day in,
Day out when I was sick.
I wasn't in this like hurry to push to get well,
And I'd be disappointed if I wasn't well.
I was just looking forward to the next day of visualization.
I was looking forward to imagining all the fun things in my mind.
We give thanks for you,
For your body that is doing the best that it can.
We give thanks for your imagination that can create all kinds of wondrous things for you in your life and in your body.
We give thanks for your guides and your angels for being with you and hearing you when you visualize or picture things or being with you when you pray.
And we ask that you feel better soon.
We ask that if you're already well,
You continue to stay well.
We ask that the next time you're sick or you don't feel very good in your body,
That you're able to move quickly and easily into this prayer and into this visualization.
Wherever you are,
Even if you don't have me to listen to,
We ask that you're able to just turn on that imagination and pretend and picture all kinds of wonderful,
Wonderful images of yourself playing and skipping and laughing and happy.
Thanks be to God.
Thanks be to the light.
Until next time.
God Bless.
God Bless.

My kids love this meditation when they are not feeling well. As a parent I love the way this explains energy and how you can use it when not feeling well.
