All right,

So go ahead and find the meditation posture.

Push the crown of the head up towards the ceiling.

Start settling in.

Now take a deep,

Deep breath and exhale.

Once again,

Super deep breath in and exhale.

And once again,

Super deep breath in and exhale.

I'll count from one to five.

And when I get to five,

You're going to be in your safe place.

Five,

No,

I'm sorry,

One,

Four,

Five.

Now you're in your safe place.

Imagine that for a moment.

What does it look like?

See how what it looks like,

The visuals of your safe place impact you.

They help you calm down,

Be at ease and so forth.

Ah,

That's right.

Now notice the sounds of your safe place.

And notice how the sounds impact you.

They help you be at ease.

Now for just a moment,

Notice the smells of your safe place.

Maybe it smells like rain or maybe it smells like the beach or the forest,

Something calming.

Okay,

Good,

Good.

All right,

Now imagine a perfect nurturer,

An ideal parent.

And then just pick a gender.

Pick the gender that you think is kind of easiest to work with.

Don't base it on a particular parent of yours.

Base it on somebody that you can kind of idealize who's kind of perfect.

So go ahead and imagine this perfect nurturer.

Good,

All right.

And now see the perfect nurturer at a distance.

So they're a bit far away from you.

And even at a distance,

There's something about their presence.

Maybe the way they're holding the body,

The way that the gesture on their face,

Their facial expression,

It just puts you at ease.

Take a moment to see that.

Good,

Good.

All right,

And now also notice how they're happy to see you.

There's a sweet smile on their face.

And now they approach you.

And again,

You can really feel that they're happy to see you in this really sweet way.

That's right,

Keep going.

Now let their safety,

Also their delight in you,

Really penetrate you.

Let it affect you.

Now they come close.

And now what comes to the fore is this interest,

This like,

They're just kind of fascinated with you.

They're like,

Hey,

What's going on?

What are you doing?

How have you been?

And this interest is very sweet and light and totally non-invasive.

And also,

It's totally reliable.

You don't have to worry about it being there or not.

But go ahead and develop the scene where they sweetly show their interest in you.

That's right,

Keep going.

Oh,

Happy to see you.

And again,

Give voice to just explain to them what's been going on,

How you've been.

And then notice this attentiveness,

Sweetness,

And so forth.

Go ahead and develop that scene.

And also,

Notice how you're safe with your perfect nurturer.

You should investigate in the scene,

Kind of prove to yourself in the scene with the perfect nurturer that you're safe and that being at ease with them,

Even opening up to them,

Makes sense.

And now we'll work on just some sort of some piece of upset of yours.

And just have the perfect nurturer listen to you,

Attune to you,

And so forth,

Comfort you.

All right,

So now take a moment and see if you can find some issue that's not quite resolved,

Something you're upset about,

And the perfect nurturer will tend to you and respond to you in just the right way.

All right,

Good.

Now explain the issue to the perfect nurturer.

As you're speaking,

Maybe they hold your hand or maybe they have an arm slung over your shoulder,

And they nod sweetly and slowly,

Showing that they understand.

So just keep developing the scene.

Keep giving voice.

The perfect nurturer keeps responding in just the right way.

Try to keep going.

All right,

And just one more time,

Give voice to whatever's bothering you.

Just explain whatever it is that's on your mind.

And then as you're doing it,

The perfect nurturer supports you.

See if you can really pay attention to what the body feels like,

What emotions are coming up,

And so forth.

Try to keep going.

Now have the perfect nurturer feed back to you what you've said,

And they intone it all very sweetly in a way that maybe helps you gain some insights and also helps you develop some sweetness and acceptance towards yourself as they're feeding back to you what you've said.

Here shortly,

We'll wrap it up.

But before we do,

Just go ahead and dissolve the whole scene.

Imagine that you float up above the meditation,

And now you look back.

What was this like?

What did you learn here?

The insights.

Go ahead and rehearse those now.

Making a deep,

Deep impression of this.

Count from five to one.
