For this affirmation practice,
Start to get comfortable in a nice tall seat like you would for a meditation position.
If you'd like to boost the effectiveness of these affirmations,
You can look at yourself in the mirror standing tall,
Gazing into your eyes and repeat these affirmations to yourself.
Whichever you choose,
Begin to find your position to practice these affirmations.
There will be 10 affirmations total.
After I say an affirmation,
You can repeat it to yourself either out loud or in your mind.
Start to settle in,
Close down the eyes if you are taking a seated meditation position,
Or gaze into your eyes if you are looking at the mirror.
Take a few nice smooth breaths,
Clearing your mind of any thoughts,
Any to-do's,
Softening the upper brow and lower brow,
And relaxing the shoulders.
Mindfully open up your heart to receive these words of affirmation,
To embrace the slowness of the season.
Repeat to yourself,
I am worthy even when I am not productive,
The season is slowing and so am I.
Peace flows through me when I slow down.
Healing and recovery is productive.
I am enough even when I rest.
I accept changes in my energy just as I accept the changing of the seasons.
I release guilt around what I should be doing and just be.
I am worthy no matter the pace of my life.
I am loved.
I am present.
We'll go through these 10 affirmations again,
This time repeat the affirmation to yourself three times.
Tell yourself three times,
I am worthy even when I am not productive,
The season is slowing and so am I.
