Welcome to this short meditation about asking for help.

Begin by finding a comfortable position and close your eyes if that feels right for you.

Take a deep breath in and a long breath out.

Repeat this a couple of more times,

Letting each exhale release any tension you might be holding on to.

Inhale openness and exhale hesitation.

Asking for help is a brave and important step.

As you hear the words asking for help,

Notice what thoughts and emotions arise within you without any judgement.

It may be reluctance,

Vulnerability,

Relief or something else entirely.

Now visualize yourself in a supportive environment where your request for help is met with understanding and action.

Take a moment to picture yourself reaching out with calm and centred confidence,

Knowing that asking for your needs to be met is a strength,

Not a weakness.

You have the right to ask and you have the right for that need to be met.

Bring up the emotions you'd like to feel,

Any words you'd like to use,

Any thoughts.

Watch them as little clouds in your mind come and go.

As you prepare to ask for help,

Imagine the conversation unfolding smoothly.

Picture yourself expressing your needs clearly and receiving the support.

Allow yourself to feel empowered and ready to accept the assistance you deserve.

Slowly repeat to yourself,

Belong,
