
Anxiety: A portal to Spirit, Class 4
This is the last class of the series of 4 on Anxiety as a portal to Spirit. This lesson brings resolutions and personal choices about anxiety.
Transcript
Let's sit again together in a mindful way.
Sit comfortably where you are.
Prepare that space just for us and nothing else.
Soft down your face and have a friendly smile as you reconcile yourself in this moment to be with you.
From that space of sincerity take a deep breath in and hold the breath a little bit.
Then exhale through the nose and hold out.
Again inhale in,
Hold and this time focus on top of the head.
Exhale and place your attention in your tailbone as you hold the breath.
This is just a breath to tune you in,
To bring you into the present moment and to align your central channel.
Let's do that for a couple of minutes with your smile,
Sense of friendliness and somehow without the normal effort that we usually do when we impose our will.
We are just simply inhaling,
Holding,
Exhaling,
Holding.
In each in-breath activate your own inner life force and in each out-breath relax it.
Don't go nowhere.
Just be with your body and your breath,
Nothing else.
You are not correcting anything,
You are not improving anything,
You are just simply applying a technological tool to be with you.
Now relax the breath and do nothing.
Another pose,
Just be friendly.
Stay.
And take your next breath to contemplate in the journey that we have together,
The last three classes or so,
Where we are contemplating anxiety as an opportunity to go within,
To apply yourself,
To take yourself seriously and to learn the effortless path.
Observe if within you,
You wish to continue it,
Certain healing or certain place where you inside say,
No this is not enough,
You need to keep going,
Keep searching.
Go to other healer,
Go to other teacher,
Do this meditation,
Do the other meditation.
That restlessness is just taking you out of the opportunity to see your present condition as a possible jump to be really in connection with your own spiritual self.
So this is the first thing we need to identify,
That jumping out of yourself is one of the root of anxiety.
We have been out too long and too quickly,
Repeatedly doing one thing after the other one.
Keep searching,
Keep labeling ourselves that we are incomplete.
Just take a conscious breath that you are refusing to follow that path and that for this moment you have the opportunity to conceive yourself fully and totally okay.
Number two,
Acknowledge what is it that paradoxically need to be done at the level of your lifestyle.
Relieve your anxiety as caused by the impact of computers and technology around you,
Reduce the hours and take responsibility for your own inner changes.
What is your decision?
In this way it empowers you,
Yes I am capable of modifying my external life.
With that inner decision that is based in sincerity you are crossing a second stage in your spiritual path which is commitment,
Responsibility,
Care,
Acknowledgement of your existence,
Respect for your existence,
Dedication.
Take another deep breath,
Let that go.
Your third opportunity to cross or to use your anxiety as a portal to the spirit is to understand the paradoxic nature of your existence,
On one side you need to accept and take the path of effortlessness and on the other side you need to confine it and balance with certain actions mostly of your surroundings.
That combination of the effortlessness and the effort is a third prerequisite of a spiritual life.
You are in the world but you are also surrending or be caring and trust and safety and protection with forces bigger than you.
So you tune in with that,
You start a different relationship with the divine qualities.
After these reflections I want you to introduce you to the part of you that need effortlessness effort and the challenge that I am going to ask you is to do this practice that I am going to mention now for 40 days every day.
It is a simple practice that simply will consolidate your sincerity and commitment towards yourself.
Let's do it together.
Sit comfortably.
Your spine is straight but not stiff.
Inhale deeply through your nose.
And as you inhale focus your attention on top of your head.
As you exhale focus your attention in your chin center,
Just in the chin and your face.
Make the breath deep.
Allow your breath to go a little bit deeper so it will sound like in the back of your throat or your die breath.
I'll demonstrate.
With this breath we'll do 3 minutes.
Your attitude is of friendliness so you have a slightly smile towards yourself and towards the moment that you choose to do this.
Preferable early in the morning just when you wake up.
Create an inner ambiance that comes from you,
Not from the exterior but from you,
Of just friendliness.
Relax the breath and place your right hand on your heart.
And calm your heart.
Just talk to your heart.
Everything is okay.
We are okay.
Rest your heart.
That drum beat that has just been out of tune with the life force.
Just reassure it.
And stay with it,
With your friendliness.
Dear heart of mine,
I know you are going through a lot but in this moment I want to reassure you that I am with you and we together can know each other and that connection becomes sacred.
I am learning through you to connect,
To care.
Just feel peace.
You hardly may take a couple days to do this but you continue to reassure it.
We'll do that for two minutes or so and after that you pay attention to your out-breath.
The heart have an out-breath to all the cells of the body announcing that reassurement to all the organs,
Tissues of the body.
Is in that where you qualify yourself as the master,
The director of your heart pulsations and the heart announce that vibration to all the parts of your body.
All cells like small children are being taken care with great care.
This is the primary function of the spirit.
The motherly instinct of taking care of all these parts where everything is included.
The good,
The bad,
The parts that are judged,
The parts that have expectations,
The parts who have departure,
The parts that are meant to become just all of you gather inside the body.
We'll do this community awareness for two or three minutes.
Then now raise both hands up and shake vigorously your hands.
So vigorous your spine shake.
We'll do that for one complete minute.
Please start now.
Relax the shaking.
Raise hands over your knees with the palms facing up.
Do nothing.
Connect again with the top of your head and bless yourself.
I am the sacred light of the divine creation take care of me and I take care of my creation.
I am the power,
The grace and beauty of the divine.
May I express that beauty in everything I see,
Touch and speak.
May I serve as a beaming light to all cells of my body and to any relationship or contact I have in this day.
May I have the strength,
The commitment,
The love,
The appreciation to do this every day for 40 days.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
And slowly,
Gradually open your eyes and come back.
This simple practice need to have the combination of the effort of sitting every day with just five minutes.
With full intention.
And it have to be in combination with certain effortlessness.
It won't work if you are looking to change something.
You are doing it simply because you love you,
Because you respect you,
Because you want to touch the spirit.
This is the path of your real sincerity of being a seeker.
You are not a shopper.
Commit,
Be simple.
Reclaim your birthright.
It's all in your hands.
Choose the vibration you want to live under and that vibration is created by you,
By your care.
Not about others.
About each moment you sit in mindfulness.
I'm grateful to you for helping yourself.
May these lessons help you to transcend your anxiety to a place of peace,
To a place of love,
To a place of wholeness,
To the authentic self.

This has been so helpful for anxiety. Am going to do the 40 days short practice without effort or 'wanting'. 🙏 Thank you. 🙏. I could not understand a few words but this did not affect the overall meditation.
