Have you been on a healing journey for a long period of time?

Maybe it's a physical body issue,

Maybe it's more mental-emotional,

And you've tried several modalities,

Whether that's from the western medicine side or perhaps more alternative medicine or even energetic medicine,

But you still haven't received the healing that you know deep down that is ready for you.

I would love to share with you these three pieces of wisdom that I think are foundational that I learned during my healing journey from an autoimmune condition.

Blessings,

This is Brenda Carey and I'm a holistic healer for highly sensitive souls and my mission is to activate your inner healer.

Many people have come to me and this is a part of my own story saying,

Why am I not healing?

I have tried so many different modalities.

I went down the western medicine path,

Did some maybe prescription drugs,

Tried different like physical therapy type of modalities and then that didn't serve me or at least it didn't serve me for the long term,

Shifted to more alternative medicine,

Maybe acupuncture,

Maybe changing your nutrition,

Maybe even getting into some energy healing like Reiki or emotional freedom technique.

Maybe you have tried a laundry list of things,

I've been there and still it's like sometimes the healing works,

Like sometimes the modality makes a person better for the short term but then it just kind of sneaks in and it comes right back or maybe it just hasn't worked at all.

This is something that I learned during a long journey with a digestive autoimmune condition.

I had this pattern of the modality would work for a while and then I felt this shift and then it just didn't work anymore and so these are three foundational practices that I continually work with with myself and also with my clients and once these three practices are in place,

It seems as though the healing modalities,

The ones that we really need stick and the ones that we don't need just fall away to the side.

First thing that I really want you to reflect on is your heart energy open and the reason why this is so important is many of us subconsciously close off our heart center.

We can even see this in the physical body.

Notice I'm like rolling my shoulders forward and my neck protrudes a little bit more forward.

We see this in our society a lot,

I call it heart hiding.

So our shoulders roll forward,

Our gaze might come down and we're closing off this what's meant to be expansive heart energy.

So first thing,

Notice how physically open this whole heart chest area is.

Maybe roll the shoulders back and down,

Feel your spine tall,

Rise your crown toward the sky and just notice that openness even if it feels a little vulnerable or even a little uncomfortable.

Open up and be able to receive this center of self-love,

Self-compassion.

Because once this area is open,

Then we will be more likely to receive the healing modalities that we need.

One of the ways that I do this is with heart coherence breathing and I have a meditation that focuses on this type of breath technique.

Basically,

Imagine your favorite color,

Something that represents a powerful healing color.

Place it at the center of your heart.

When you inhale,

That color brightens and when you exhale,

That color expands and moves even outside of you into your aura.

Practice with that every day just for a minute or two and notice how that opens up your ability to receive the healing that you need.

It's so important.

The second thing is letting go of the how.

The how it's going to happen.

This is a tough one for me.

I went through a period where I would just internet search for hours like,

How do I heal from autoimmunity?

How do I heal from dot dot dot?

And my mind would get really tunneled in and I would have this picture in my mind of how it was going to happen.

Unfortunately,

Because of that type of tunnel vision and because it was also fueled with some fear and anxiety because deep down I believed that I had to do something to fix the condition,

Which actually wasn't the truth.

I was also closing down my heart energy that wasn't open yet.

I had to go through a process of letting go of the specific steps of how it was going to unfold.

I'm not saying this is easy.

However,

When we get so caught up in the how,

We then close down any other opportunities that might come through because we're not open to receive them.

So first thing,

Open heart energy like I mentioned.

Second thing,

Letting go of the how it's going to happen.

Because how I ended up healing from my autoimmune condition was totally not on my radar.

It was not on any internet search and it just unfolded in this perfect divine timing.

So when we are in the present moment and this is key and how we let go of the how is through a consistent meditation practice just practicing on being in the now.

I'm not saying that's easy but it is completely doable for anyone.

I have several guided meditations on this channel that can help you be in the present moment.

Even just for a few minutes makes a huge difference.

Finally,

The last foundational practice.

After you have opened your heart,

After you have let go of the how it's specifically going to happen,

Then we get into do you feel worthy to receive the healing?

This is so important for sensitive souls like myself or empaths who tend to put other people's needs and desires before our own.

When I was struggling with my autoimmune condition this was a time when both my children were very little.

So I was rightfully so constantly putting their needs before my own but would completely forget about the things that I needed to keep myself well.

I lost subconsciously,

Not saying that I was doing this consciously but subconsciously I was digesting this belief that I was not worthy to take the time and the effort to fill my cup.

I did not feel worthy to receive it.

Again,

I'm not saying that we do this consciously.

I think it's very subconscious especially if you are a natural giver.

Again,

First open heart,

Second letting go of how the healing is going to happen and finally feeling worthy to receive your healing in whatever way it's meant to unfold.

I truly believe with these three foundational practices your inner healer will awaken.

Amazing insight! Up until 35 I suffered from atopic dermatitis, this made me curious to learn about human body, energies, blockages, psychosomatic background of many diseases, etc. I became a healer and several years after everyday practice, I learned how to be present and open within my body. To diagnose and feel problematic places and heal them by energy flow with my attention. The experience you’ve shared is spot on, I can confirm that too! My dermatitis disappeared 7 years ago and it never came back!
