And we are here today to teach you about confidence.
What's confidence?
Confidence is feeling sure of yourself,
In your abilities.
It's to feel secure and safe,
Knowing you're okay,
Trusting yourself.
Sometimes we lose our confidence,
Or we can't find our confidence,
So we have to figure out ways to build our confidence,
To feel good about ourselves.
So we're going to do this with meditation today,
And with breathing.
So let's begin.
Let's meditate together to find our confidence.
Let's find a comfortable position.
You can sit crisscross applesauce,
Or cross-legged,
Or you can sit in a chair,
Or couch,
Or on the floor.
Find something that's comfortable for you.
And once you settle in,
Close your eyes.
Relax your arms.
Relax your legs.
Relax your fingers and toes.
Inhale,
Big,
Strong breath.
And let it go.
Let's do that together.
Inhale,
Big,
Strong breath.
And exhale,
Blow it out.
Let it go.
Again,
Inhale,
Take in a big,
Strong breath.
Exhale,
Blow it out.
Let it go.
Last time,
Big,
Strong breath.
Find confidence.
And exhale,
Let it go.
Now for the next few moments,
You'll continue to breathe this way,
On your own,
Finding confidence on your own.
So keep breathing,
And keep finding your confidence within yourself.
Let's take one more breath together,
A big,
Strong,
Confident breath.
And exhale.
Let the breath go.
Now open your eyes.
Take a look around.
What do you see?
How do you feel?
When we learn how to breathe with confidence,
This helps manage our emotions.
This helps us feel calm,
And strong,
And capable,
Which means we can do anything.
