Hello and welcome,
And today's word for living your best life is passion.
Have you ever been so absorbed in something that time seemed to disappear?
Have you ever felt a fire inside you for something you love doing?
That's passion,
The force that fuels creativity,
Perseverance,
And joy.
Passion isn't just about hobbies or about a single person in your life.
It's about living with intensity and enthusiasm and purpose.
Passion is energy.
Passion is life force.
Passion is not necessarily about extremes at all.
We can live a very balanced life in deep passion.
Now,
Passion doesn't always arrive as we might like it to,
And sometimes we need to cultivate it.
Passion grows out of a mindset of curiosity,
Taking risks,
And pursuing things that excite us.
Passion is very much a mindset,
A way of looking at the world,
A way of looking at life,
And very closely connected with appreciation.
Appreciation of our life,
Of our existence,
And of all the wonderful things we already have.
So what makes you come alive?
What would you do every day,
Even if you weren't paid to do it?
When we look across history,
We've got some interesting people that pop up.
Leonardo da Vinci,
In particular,
A painter,
Scientist,
Engineer,
Writer.
He has followed his passions relentlessly,
And he's known for being incredibly passionate.
In a similar way,
We have Pablo Picasso,
Wonderful artist,
If you like his style,
Of course.
Beautiful use of colors,
And extraordinary creative ideas,
And ways of expressing what was going on in his mind.
He was known as an incredibly passionate,
Not necessarily easy human being,
But very passionate about life,
And nature,
And people,
And love,
And differences,
And all of that coming together.
Oprah Winfrey,
She turned her passion for storytelling and human connection into a media empire.
She started from humble beginnings,
But never lost sight of her love for inspiring others,
And her love for life.
Studies show that people who pursue their passions really experience higher levels of happiness and resilience.
So three ideas I have for you today to improve or bring more passion into your life.
Number one is follow your curiosity.
Passion isn't always obvious.
It doesn't just arrive out of nowhere.
So try new things,
Explore different interests,
And pay attention to what excites you.
Number two,
Eliminate the distractions.
Eliminate people from your life,
Or the time that you spend with people in your life who are using up your energy and passion,
Who may be toxic for you,
Or draining your energy.
Remove as many distractions as you can from your life.
And number three,
Take action even when it's hard.
Passion is an energy that moves,
So the more space we give it to move,
The better,
And the more action we take,
The more of that energy is moving forward.
Passion is not always effortless.
It requires persistence,
Practice,
And dedication.
And today we're going to end with a quotation by Oprah Winfrey.
Passion is energy.
Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.
