**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listening attentively and with humility. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

Seeing in person the mental activities,

The dynamics of the mind is different from reading,

Reading text,

Reading books,

Where we are dealing with the verse,

The text,

The language.

Saying the mind does not really need language.

What one needs to do is just to perceive,

To feel,

To look.

So when we are reading,

When we are listening to somebody else,

The mind is using the language.

It's quite tricky because when the mind is caught up in verse,

The mind stops listening or observing immediately.

Trapping in verse means trapped in the thoughts triggered by the verse.

So to listen or to read,

We have to be very attentive to notice our reaction to the verse,

To the verse of the speaker,

The book,

Without being trapped.

At the same time,

We are observing the mind to go beyond the verse,

To understand what the speaker is talking about.

The truth of the mind actually is beyond any description.

What we can describe is very limited.

If you get caught up in verse,

You may find that the description of the speaker can be very inconsistent.

But if you really observe the mind,

If you really see it,

You will find that everything is super consistent.

In the Western culture,

There are a lot of writings speaking,

Which is seeking the consistency in terms of verse expressions.

So the text can raise easily,

Can listen easily.

But what do these verses point to?

It's full conflict.

So we sacrifice the inner consistency for the outer world consistency,

Which only bring about more issues.

To meditate is to observe this,

Observe the limitations of verse,

The limitations of the language.

Verse are not a thing.

So if we are trapped by verse,

We can't touch the thing.

Through the communication,

We have to go beyond the inconsistency of the verse to find out the consistency of the mind,

The oneness of the mind,

The truth.

And this whole journey is taking place on a different dimension,

Which requires you and me to observe through non doing,

No judgment,

No justification,

No condemnation.

Just observe.

The mind will reap the certainty for sure.
