COVID-19 has caused us to have many fears which we must face. I think we must have the courage to look at the fear factor and use our inner strength and meditation to shine a light on them so we can release them.

Aloha,

I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and today I thought I'd talk about fear.

We've been going through a very turbulent time,

A lot of challenges to people's life,

Their security,

Their way of thinking.

And there's been many seeds of fear that have been planted by many stories we've seen in the news and things we've read on social media and a lot of issues that have been brought to our face to deal with.

And fear is rather insidious.

Sometimes we aren't even aware that we're afraid if it's been there for a while.

I was talking to my sister and she will not go out of her house.

I mean I think she has maybe once or twice in the last three months to go to the market.

That's it.

She's afraid to go out because she's afraid she'll get COVID-19.

And that's kind of the seeds that were planted in a lot of people.

I talked to another friend who was going back to work.

Finally the place she worked was opening up again and she told me how afraid she was to go out and be around the people and not knowing who had been exposed to what or kind of how it would work and thoughts that she could get sick if she was exposed to people who were sick.

And I realized more and more that this fear from what we've been hearing has been planted very deeply.

And they're continuing to plant seeds of fear.

I say they.

There's many things that we hear and see in the news that continue to spread fear.

And fear is something that is a weed that needs to be pulled.

And I'm going to go over some of the ways we think about fear,

The ways to deal with fear and then I'm going to do a prayer and a meditation to overcome fear.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama said,

The real destroyer of inner peace is fear and distrust.

Fear develops frustration.

Frustration develops anger.

And anger develops violence.

Now I've been talking to many people who are getting very frustrated because they're following the rules and they're doing social distancing and they're wearing their mask and then they go out and see people who are not wearing their masks and they get frustrated and then they get angry.

And many of the posts I've seen where people really are afraid that they'll get COVID-19 because people aren't wearing their masks.

So this is something that we have to look at and it's based on real life situations that we're going through.

I've seen more fear in the last six months,

Four months especially than I've ever seen before in our society.

But Mahatma Gandhi said,

In the midst of darkness,

Light persists.

And it does.

And one of the ways you can combat fear and worry and negativity is to focus on the goodness and the light and the positive things that are being done.

And there are so many amazing positive things being done by people right now.

Fear has been described as false,

Standing for evidence,

E,

A,

Appearing and R,

Real.

False evidence,

Appearing real.

How many times have you had some thought that you push back into your subconscious and then it comes out in a nightmare or in a dream where you had to face it?

Subconscious release happens during our dream time to let go of all of our fears so we can face it in a dream and realize,

Oh,

I was just dreaming,

Right?

Roger Kipling said,

Of all the liars in the world,

Sometimes the worst are our own fears.

So what we need to do is bring our fears out and face them.

We need to address those fears.

Fears aren't inherently bad or good,

But we can see them and explore them and they can be used as a tool to make better decisions.

Fear isn't designed to keep us inactive in our life.

It's there to help us act in ways that would generate results we need and want.

Now,

If we could embrace those fears and understand where they come from and let them inform your actions,

But don't let that control your life,

Then fear loses its power and control over you.

You know,

This is something that you can't control,

The way you react to fear.

Sometimes it's just stating that fear out loud that helps you not give it power.

You could write it down or you could right now make a list and let yourself face those fears you might have in a safe environment here.

And once you realize them,

Then you make a plan of action.

You learn to pray,

You learn to visualize,

You learn to make affirmations,

You learn how to have the positive choices to make,

To visualize a positive outcome.

And everyone has fears,

Some more than others,

But everyone has fears.

And what defines you and makes you strong is the way you work and address those fears in your life.

So for a moment,

Take a second or two and allow yourself to admit to some fear that you've had or fears that you know are holding you back from something that you'd like to release yourself from.

Is there any fear there at this time?

I know many business people are afraid they will have to close their business.

They won't get enough business.

And they're afraid that they're going to go out of business.

I know people who are afraid they won't be able to have enough money to get their basic necessities or pay their rent.

I know some people who are very afraid that if they go out and even do simple things like shopping,

They could get sick or those going to work and afraid they'll be exposed to something.

So whatever it might be,

Address that fear.

Take a moment to allow it to be recognized and name it.

And we're going to do a meditation and a talk here to address how you can handle and control that fear.

And it takes courage and it takes strength.

And I know many people pray when they're afraid and there is a power in prayer for many reasons of course.

One is because when you pray you're able to recognize what you're praying for.

And you have that moment of belief that if you pray that that will be overcome.

And the belief there gives you courage as well,

Right?

Here's an affirmation or two on courage.

I am now strong and I can take all the crutches away.

I can remove the safety net and I know I can pray and have courage every day.

Fear does not control me.

I am aware of any fear there within.

I connect to God and the higher sources and I asked with the power to have courage to overcome that fear.

I overcome that fear and I find the strength to begin again.

I am grateful to my friends.

I am grateful to God.

I am grateful to all those who point the way and help me to take the steps I need to overcome fear each day.

Thank you God and so it is.

Now let's take a few breaths and do a prayer here.

Breathing in deeply,

Breathing in the light,

Breathing in the strength of unconditional love,

Breathing in the power and protection of the angels to help you see through the dark.

Know that that light will come when you need it,

It may come at dawn and know that you can ask for the help of God to carry on.

And in time all forms will fade away but the Holy Spirit will always remain.

The ashes are just ashes.

The fear is just a shadow,

Cosmic dust from infinity and the shadow from the light.

You can choose to celebrate the good in this life.

You can recognize the good that is the love given and received with grace.

And you can recognize indeed the signs of life and the power of your soul here on earth and you can be free.

You can overcome your fear with the highest purpose that awaits for you,

Your true destiny.

And in time that energy that is from the source of God will be redeemed and your life reason will be revealed and you can connect with that source each and every day.

You can learn to face your fears and meditate and pray and be grateful for those that helped you and point you to the right way.

Now when you're weary and you feel the burdens just remember you can call upon God.

You can call upon the protective angels.

You can call upon those who are your guardians and that will help you realize you can have that protection to face your fear.

Go deeply now into a state of meditation,

Breathing in absolute light,

Breathing in,

Holding for a couple of seconds and breathing out,

Breathing in light,

Holding for three seconds and breathing that light out.

Breathing in courage,

Holding for three seconds and breathing that light of courage out through all of you,

Going deeper and deeper and deeper within.

Scan your body.

Do you feel any fear and tension in your mind?

Be comfortable there within and remove any of that tension there within your mind.

Do you feel it in your forehead,

Your jaws,

Your mouth,

Your neck?

Breathe that light in and let any of that tension go.

Let it go from your shoulders.

Let it go from your entire torso.

Any tightness you might have in your heart,

In your pelvis area,

Is there any tension in your lower back?

Breathe that light into that area.

Any tension you might have in your legs and your knees and your calves.

Let that go.

Let the energy go down to your toes and see yourself in a bubble of wonderful golden white light,

Totally protected,

Totally safe,

Totally free.

Allow yourself to experience these moments of absolute clarity with no fear.

Only that love that surrounds you,

That light that protects you.

Allow that energy to totally bathe your entire being,

Body,

Mind and soul.

And now picture your master in a golden light in front of you,

Coming to you face to face.

And allow yourself to breathe in syncornation with that breath of the master,

The breath of light.

Simply breathe.

Let any tension or weariness go into a light or a flame.

Imagine that and see that heart flame growing brighter with each breath you breathe.

Take a deep breath and sigh,

Ah.

Inhale the breath of light.

Breathe in that light and let it fill your body.

Breathe in the infinite,

Eternal,

Unconditional love.

Allow it to fill you with peace.

And allow yourself now to go to a place of your soul.

And from that place,

If there's anything you need to let go of,

Any ancient fears,

Anything you need that has been growing as weeds within you that you haven't addressed,

Now see yourself facing those fears.

Know that you're safe and those fears have a chance to be recognized and now released and freed.

Cut any ties,

Cut any of the weeds and allow those weeds to be pulled so you have more space,

More love,

More courage,

More light.

Feel that peace now surrounding you and filling you.

Allow that peace to ease your worries and your mind.

Feel good.

Smile.

Know that you are protected.

Know that you are all right.

Right now,

Right here,

All is well.

Breathe that feeling in and absorb it.

Allow yourself to bathe in that light of peace.

Feel that energy that is the real you growing and growing and growing,

Taking over any energy that you want to release and allowing that energy that may be holding you back.

Any fears,

Let that go.

And just allow yourself to be in this place where you know you can return to any time you need to overcome your fear.

Come to this place inside where all is well,

Where you are attuned to the highest light and the highest love.

And now,

Take a moment there and start to come back knowing that you have the energy and the strength and the resource and the courage to face any fears you might have.

Believe it.

Be it.

See it.

Become it.

Amama,

Amama,

Ua noa,

The fear is freed.

Know that you can call upon the light and love of God at any time.

Know that you have the power there within you to go within and face your fears and release your fears.

God bless you with love and light always.

Thank you.

Once again my gratitude to you Reverend Cindy. It’s awhile since Covid 19 ( I am glad to say) but the same applies today as it did in Covid times. It’s so heartening to hear that trusting a higher power and giving over our worries and fears, may give us an understanding of how to cope with God lifting burdens so things may become bearable by this loving power. πŸ™
