It's becoming so important to be able to protect yourself from negative influences. Meditation is becoming more important than ever. Find a safe and inspiring place where you can connect with your true self. This is a talk and meditation to guide you there.

A very big aloha.

My name is Reverend Cindy Pallas and I wanted to talk today about having to deal with all the different influences we're getting from media,

Online,

Websites,

And basically I want to term it as outside influences that are happening online more than ever before.

I'm old enough where I really do remember before there was the web and online stuff and it was very different.

And now I'm watching not only more and more people getting very,

Very good at grabbing your attention when you go online or any social media place,

But they can really distract you from what you really went there for.

There's really amazing ways that now there's so many ways they're trying to get your attention and get you to sign up for whatever they've got.

And as I observe this and watch this,

Most of them aren't just there to pose something nice.

Most of them want something from you.

And I really get amazed at that truthfully when I look at it objectively.

It's like,

I just like to go online and write a poem every day and share a picture and just post that.

And then I'll see how many people like it or whatever,

But I don't ask people to do things for me.

And I guess I'm one of the few.

I know a few wonderful people who are actually trying to just share their music because I'm in the music field.

But I have to say,

You have to watch more than ever before how you can get distracted.

This happens as well on TV.

Obviously,

I watch TV and there's more and more ads and more and more ways people are trying to get your attention.

And that's what happens when people are trying to sell things to you.

They're trying to get your attention.

Now,

I have to say objectively,

Some are really creative and some are just really bad.

But basically,

You just want to get through those things to get to the reason why you're watching.

So we have to learn how to navigate.

I think that's one of the key things to remember is how to navigate to get where we want to go through the time on the web,

Through the time watching TV.

More and more,

We have to have our safe space where we don't get tied up or distracted or waste our time by getting into what people are trying to sell us.

And it's very interesting how we can do that.

Now,

There's one beautiful,

Wonderful way that you don't have to get influenced by that is you can meditate.

When you're going into the silence and when you're going within,

You can take that time to just have a safe space.

To have that time for you,

Your inner self,

Your higher self,

For God,

For whatever that reason that's most important to you is.

And you have to really appreciate and protect that space.

And it's important to do that,

I find,

Every single morning.

And I think it's also now important to use it and protect it at nighttime before you go to sleep at night because you need to clear out your mind or you're going to have it really cluttered by a lot of things by the time you go to sleep.

You might even want to take a break at noon.

I mean,

There's another really wonderful way,

And that is for me,

Taking walks in a beautiful place in nature.

Having some time to go out and just really go into that sacred place while I'm walking and enjoy the beauty and the inspiration that I get from walking,

This breathing in the fresh air,

Looking at the sky,

Watching the trees,

The plants,

The flowers,

Always works.

For me,

It always works.

It's amazing how it always works.

And you can choose what you watch on TV,

The movies that you choose to watch.

And I love,

I'm loving some of the older movies.

Another safe space you can have is what you read.

If you take the time to just find inspirational works and something that is very interesting,

To be able to have that time to just decompress.

So if we watch our influences,

You know,

The outside influences and where our consciousness and our mind is going,

And how we can navigate what we're doing with our time in the course of a day,

We have really gained something very,

Very important.

I'm seeing it actually more than ever.

There are more and more ways that you can lose track of time and lose track of where you were going or what you wanted to do when you go online.

So I encourage you to take the time to take more time in meditation,

To get centered,

To get to that point where you know you can focus your mind and direct your mind and direct your life in the way you wish to make it happen and where you wish to go.

And that helps if you have your intention set,

You know what you're trying to accomplish and what you're trying to do,

And that you're open to what happens as far as positive ways it might come to you.

Sometimes we don't know something that'll happen in the course of the day that might really be important,

That could be positive.

So you have to be able to be open to receive the positive stuff and be able to navigate and get through the stuff that isn't what you want to get through,

It might be negative for you.

And this is something,

I don't know if they teach this in school,

But I think it's something that we really need to more than ever be able to navigate our way through our time,

Through what's important in life,

To be able to set our intention and follow through in the ways that we can make that productive and wonderful in our lives.

And again,

Let's just take some time to go into meditation so you can have a safe space to go within,

To recharge your batteries,

To connect with your inner self,

To go to your higher self,

To get refreshed.

And I think now more than ever,

Again,

It's important to always watch our breath.

And they do this by just being conscious of your breathing,

Breathing in deeply.

And there,

Yes,

My neck is cracked in alignment.

Ah,

Thank you.

And just breathing out,

And breathing in,

And being aware of how your breath is flowing through your body,

Breathing deeply in,

And holding for a second or two,

And just allowing everything to go.

And I always like the time that you can have to create a perfect light around you that's a protective light,

A light that goes way above your head,

Below your feet,

Up above you,

Down below you,

To the right and the left of you,

In front of you,

Behind you,

Until you're completely encircled in a beautiful white light.

And let it go way,

Way out.

Let it go way up,

Way around you.

And let it be a beautiful way that you can feel protective from any forces out there that might have a negative influence.

Okay,

Just now know that you're safe and you're in a great place to have some sacred time to go within.

And I'm gonna let you just go to that place where you can connect with your soul.

Direct your attention to that inner place where you are with your eyes closed,

Able to go deeper and deeper within.

And go to that place where you feel,

Feel the connection change,

Maybe in the way you're seeing the colors.

When your eyes are closed,

Maybe you see a brighter light,

A bright light.

And let that bright light be in tune with you,

Be aligned with you.

And you aligned with it and then be centered in that wonderful higher self consciousness.

And be open to receiving where the inspiration for your higher self goes to and what it connects with,

In what it feels aligned with.

And just breathe that in.

And sit in that sacred place here for a while and I'm going to be quiet while you connect.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Ask yourself if you have any messages,

Anything,

Any words of wisdom for your higher self that might help you in your life.

Any inspiration,

Any wisdom.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Now just slowly allow that thread of that light to bring whatever wisdom it might have to you.

And come back to your conscious mind slowly,

Very slowly with lots of love.

Feeling good,

Feeling grateful and deeply appreciating that true gift,

That safe space that you have.

Now if there's anything that has come to you,

When you come out of meditation,

Just take some moments to open your eyes and jot it down,

Write it down,

Make a note.

It may be a word or two.

For me,

I can usually get a poem which I write every day.

See what happens,

See what you get.

You never know.

Your inner self and your higher self has a great deal of gifts it wants to give to you if you're open to receive it.

And if you're open to even asking for it.

I just want to bow deeply in gratitude.

It's so wonderful that we can connect here and I really appreciate the time that we can spend here together.

Thank you Cindy. It is sometimes difficult to connect with people who are lost in their de-VICES. “Social” media is an oxymoron. To me, it disconnects us from what is right in front of us, NATURE. I just heard the Great Horned Owl greet the day. I am now connected to my environment. Peace is mine.
