This is a talk and meditation on discovering an inner connection with your true self within. When you make a deep inner connection, you can tap into that part of you that connects you to the depths of wisdom. I use this connection to get inner messages and to write.

A very big Aloha.

I'm Reverend Cindy Palos and I wanted to talk to you today about what's been one of the major creative forces in my life,

Which has been writing poems and writing things that have come to me after I meditate.

I'd like to go through that process with you because I have found it to be an amazingly powerful tool for me to use.

Meditation is such a beautiful key.

I mean,

Today I was pondering the fact that how AI has taken over quite a bit of our lives in lots and lots and lots of ways.

It's kind of mind-boggling to think of how it's proceeding so rapidly.

But one thing I have not found that is possible with AI is meditation.

Because meditation is a direct connection that you have with your inner and higher self.

And they have not,

As far as I know,

Found a way for any kind of AI to actually do self-pondering.

Now if they do,

That's going to be kind of an interesting huge step.

It certainly knows how to gather all that information and use anything that's been given to it.

And it is growing so quickly.

But in meditation,

What you do is you don't count in on anything that's given to you by AI.

You just really go within.

You just relax and experience what's there in your mind.

And it's a beautiful practice that really lasts forever.

I've been doing it since I've been about 13 years old.

I started meditating.

And I meditate every day.

I do it first thing in the morning.

And I highly recommend doing it before your day gets busy.

And before there are interruptions.

Because that's your sacred time to be able to just light a candle.

And to just take time to breathe and to go within.

And to trust the process and the journey of going inside is a beautiful,

Beautiful learning experience.

You learn to understand your true self.

You learn to understand what's there inside you.

And you become familiar with that process.

We all have our inner voice.

We all have our inner soul connection.

And once you give it a place and a space for it to speak to you and through you and connect with you,

You can really get an amazing amount of guidance.

So I wanted to talk how through meditation,

By through going deep inside and in that quiet place that you go within,

To be able to let that energy speak to you and transform you and bring you back a little bit of its wisdom through allowing that voice within to speak to you.

And for me,

It's been through poetry.

Spoken word poetry is what I write down immediately after I meditate.

Now I had a stroke,

Gosh,

A while back,

It was last June.

And it changed everything in my life.

You know,

I can still talk,

Thank God.

But I can't read any longer.

And so this is rather interesting,

Because I would write down my poems that I got.

And then I would read them sometimes and make them into albums.

I've got,

I don't know,

15 or 16 albums.

And most of them are spoken word.

So now that I can't read what I've gotten,

I've had to learn a very interesting process,

Which is allowing that inner voice that speaks to me to actually talk through me.

And that was different than writing,

What I would write through me.

Now I can still write,

But I can't read what I wrote.

But I can trust it enough to have speak it.

And when I speak it,

It records it.

And then I have it played back to me.

And then I have to make sure whatever,

What I spoke was correct.

This is a time consuming process,

As you can imagine.

But it's been very interesting.

And it's now pushed me to think,

Well,

Maybe I could actually just record what's coming to me right into my higher quality audio that I use for my albums.

And so that's what I'm starting to do.

I'm not reading what was written down.

I am just directly going from what comes to me and speaking it.

Now,

What this has done is taught me that we have certain ways our brain categorizes what is a good way for us to do a safe way.

But as soon as we start to expand the process,

It takes a leap of faith.

And I have had to have that leap of faith happen.

And then I realized,

Boy,

You know,

This is an interesting thing.

Why would you think you can write something down,

But you can't,

At the same time,

Speak exactly the words that are coming through you when you write it down.

So I've been exploring how we put limitations and judgments in that process and how it's so good to be able to expand what you can do in so many ways that we may have never thought was possible.

And this wouldn't have happened without the stroke that I had.

Now,

It's not as quick or as easy as before.

But then again,

You know,

The learning process can take time.

And there is no AI available that can do that kind of process for you.

You have to have the ability to explore what's there inside,

And then figure out ways that you can use it.

And you can take it into your life.

Now,

Some people are doing this thing where they're writing down what comes to them.

And a lot of people I know actually write books,

You know,

Based on this.

Now I have books I've written,

But it's mainly done from different chapters I've created.

Each,

You know,

It takes a long time.

But if it was a direct process,

My gosh.

And it's interesting also,

So many people now are doing podcasts,

Some of them based on what they do on Inside Timer.

And the podcasts can fall into certain categories of what is acceptable to cover in a conversation or a talk on a podcast.

But if it was coming direct from your meditation,

If it was coming right from that source that happens from within,

Without the filter,

But direct,

You know,

Right from the source to you,

Wouldn't that be an interesting thing?

So that's my next journey,

Is to try to just accept that,

Yes,

There are amazing possibilities when we can communicate one-to-one,

Inside and out,

And outside and in.

And to try to make that inner-outer process a direct way,

Without limitations,

Without fear of judgment,

Without all the things that can happen when we talk.

Now,

You might be able to take this and find out,

How do you communicate with your loved ones,

You know,

With your friends?

You know,

Do you have ways where you limit what you say,

What you're really feeling inside,

What you're really thinking inside?

Because you're afraid of maybe someone judging you,

Or not understanding what you're saying.

I think it's something really valuable,

Really valuable to be able to do.

And I think sometimes maybe the most meaningful thing to do is to have someone you're really close to,

To just go to a beautiful place,

Like an ocean or beach,

Going to a lovely place where you can nature,

And just be able to be still together,

And to share that beauty without maybe even having to say a word,

But just to be and experience that being without fear.

I really encourage you to explore this true self,

The true inner you,

And have it be able to come out into your life with the courage of you being able to truly be present with people you know,

And with people you love.

And not to feel like you have to hide yourself away,

That you have to limit who you are and what you are.

Let's do a meditation on this.

Let's just take a little bit of time to let go,

And to get comfortable,

And to sit with your spine erect,

So that beautiful light and love can flow through,

Oh my gosh,

All the way through from your head,

And down to your neck,

And release any tension in your neck,

And let that energy go down into your heart,

And flow,

And circle around in beautiful spirals in your heart,

Clearing anything that might be blocked away.

Let the energy continue to flow down,

Solar plexus on down,

Base of spine on down,

Put a lovely white light all around you,

Way,

Way up and around,

And inside of you,

In front of you,

In the back of you,

And protect yourself in this wonderful white,

White light,

And make sure that you feel safe and secure.

Now allow your true self,

That inner you,

That voice of your soul,

Allow that part of you to be in that wonderful safe space with you,

Right here,

Right now,

And ask for that presence to be present.

Let the presence be present,

Ah,

And just develop a inner communication with that beautiful part of you that is always there,

But sometimes ignored,

Sometimes not listened to.

Allow it to be able to feel that you are able to listen and accept all of that beauty,

That inner self of who you truly are.

Invite it in.

Watch the light.

You should close your eyes.

Watch the light that's present there.

Might see changing colors as the thoughts might drift through.

Feel the love that is present in you.

Feel how limitless and understanding that inner part of you is.

Let it speak to you.

Is there any question,

Any direction you might ask for that would make a difference to you?

If so,

Have the courage to ask,

And just be,

And receive,

And allow that beautiful expansion of who you are.

You are pure love.

You are a part of the ultimate,

Infinite light from the one source of all.

Breathe that energy in.

Let it completely inspire you,

And receive and remember as you slowly,

Slowly,

Slowly come out.

Just slowly come out of meditation,

And this sacred inner time of you experiencing yourself,

Your precious soulful self,

And now allow yourself to remember,

And take some time to write down or speak into some place,

Into your phone or computer.

Speak what came to you.

See what is there,

Any messages,

Any thoughts that came that you would like to write down.

Take the time,

And see what comes.

It's a beautiful journey.
