
Confidence Is Yours
Is confidence or lack of confidence the reason you feel you are being held back? Confidence is a game-changer. Having it or not having it will make a huge difference. This meditation will help you unlock the power within your mind and your body.
Transcript
I'd like you to get into a comfortable position,
Whether you are sitting or lying down,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
And I want you to take a nice deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Slowly close your eyes.
I want you to imagine yourself soaking in a lovely warm bubble bath,
Feeling the warmth of the water caressing your body,
Easing away all of the tensions of your day,
Completely relaxing you.
You begin to feel heavy and comfortable,
Enjoying the luxury of having absolutely nothing to do but relax and let go.
Feel the warmth and heaviness spreading up over your body,
Starting with your toes and your feet,
And gradually working its way up into your legs,
Feeling the warmth flowing into your tummy as your abdomen rises and falls with each breath,
And your breathing becomes more calm and regular as you relax your chest,
Your shoulders feel loose and limp,
And your whole body just feels so relaxed.
Let your arms relax as the warmth and comfort flows down from your shoulders.
Just let go of any tension you may feel.
Enjoy this wonderful warm feeling,
Your neck and your throat completely relaxed,
As do all those little facial muscles,
And your eyelids become heavy.
I want you to notice now a small little bubble in the bath,
Just one particular bubble that reflects beautiful colors from the glint of sunlight that streams in through the window.
This bubble contains all the colors of the rainbow,
So much deeper in here,
So clear and so pristine.
The wonderful mauves change into a beautiful sapphire blue,
And in an instance,
To a brilliant shade of red,
Then yellow,
And gold,
And emerald green.
And as you keep your mind focused on this ever-changing array of colors,
I want you to imagine your bubble expanding,
Growing bigger and bigger,
And even more delicate than before.
And as you do,
Notice how the heaviness in your body has gone,
And you can imagine yourself leaving your body through the crown of your head,
Floating up,
Up,
Up,
And over your bath,
Looking forward to see how your bubble has grown.
You are weightless now,
Just pure energy,
And I want you to picture how you are going to enter into this bubble.
Feel yourself floating down towards the bubble headfirst,
And as your head reaches the bubble,
The bubble turns inside out,
Engulfing your whole body until you are surrounded by this film of radiant colors,
Floating back up and out of the room,
Into the clear blue sky,
Lifting effortlessly higher and higher,
Not doing or thinking or feeling,
Just being.
The higher you go,
The more deeply and comfortably relaxed you become.
You feel completely safe and protected within your bubble.
And it's a wonderful feeling to be so relaxed,
And it's quite perfect to be here right now.
I'm going to be quiet for a few moments now and allow you to absorb the peace and tranquility and beauty that is surrounding you,
And this feeling of heightened awareness.
And when you next hear my voice,
It will seem as though it's coming from outside your bubble,
And your subconscious mind will be open and receptive to everything that is said to you whilst you are here.
And as you relax now even more deeply,
You become more aware of your own positive resources,
And you allow your subconscious mind to provide you with a memory of a time where you felt really good about yourself.
Perhaps you had accomplished something you were proud of,
Or maybe you're being complimented for your effort.
The content of the memory is not so important.
What is important now is the feeling that this memory generates within you.
When you have captured that particular moment,
I want you to expand upon it,
See the situation you are in,
Who you are with,
What you are doing,
And where you are.
Fill in all the details.
Time of year.
Is it spring,
Summer,
Winter,
Fall?
Time of day.
Is it morning,
Afternoon,
Evening?
Remember what you were wearing,
Feeling,
Seeing,
And touching.
Remember what is being said around you,
If anything is being said at all.
Any other sounds or smells.
I want you to focus now on the feelings,
And I want you to really remember how it felt inside.
Those good,
Positive feelings,
Strong feelings,
Confident and self-assured feelings.
You can allow those good feelings to go stronger and more positive whilst you take in a really long,
Deep breath in through your nose and press together your thumb and middle finger of your right hand whilst your subconscious mind memorizes those wonderful,
Confident,
Positive feelings.
Because from now on,
Whenever you take in a really long,
Deep breath through your nose,
Pressing together your thumb and middle finger on your right hand,
You are going to feel those good,
Strong,
Confident feelings.
And you can feel these good feelings anytime you wish,
Anywhere,
And in any situation.
These good,
Strong,
Confident feelings are becoming more and more a part of you,
And you are becoming that stronger and more confident person.
And remember,
Anytime you want to feel even more confident,
All you need to do is breathe in that really long,
Deep breath through your nose and press together your thumb and middle finger of your right hand,
And you will feel those good,
Strong,
Confident feelings filling your being.
You can feel wonderful.
You can feel calmer and more relaxed,
Much more confident than ever before.
You know what it's like to feel those good,
Strong,
Confident feelings,
And you can really enjoy remembering and re-experiencing those feelings which are becoming more and more a permanent part of you.
Now visualize yourself in a situation where you would have previously felt apprehensive or nervous in some way.
Remember a particular event,
If you wish,
In which you had wished that you had dealt with things differently.
And I'd like you to walk yourself into that situation again,
Reliving it right now,
Here in the safety of this hypnosis.
But this time,
You are taking with you the tools that you need to feel better inside.
And you have those tools right here at your fingertips,
Right here in the air you breathe.
So take that long,
Slow,
Deep breath now in through your nose,
And press together once more your thumb and middle finger on that right hand.
And you will once again feel those strong,
Confident,
Positive feelings flowing back into your awareness,
Filling your entire being with the strength to successfully deal with this situation.
And see,
Feel,
And sense yourself now,
Effectively interacting in every confident way,
In a very self-assured way,
A very assertive way.
And as you watch yourself in this way,
Feel the pride that you have in yourself,
That sense of calm assurance,
The quiet,
Inner calm.
And every day,
You feel more positive about yourself,
And more positive about your decisions.
And you know now that you are really achieving your fullest potential.
You believe in yourself,
You believe in your decisions,
You believe in your actions.
And because of how deeply you believe in yourself,
Other people believe in you too.
You begin to recognize all the good things that you have done in your life.
And now you feel so good about yourself.
You become your own best friend.
You have a relaxed attitude towards yourself and other people.
And this is making people feel more confident around you,
And you more confident with those that you meet.
Kind to other people,
And you are kind to yourself.
You give people the benefit of the doubt,
And build up the positive relationships with all of those people around you,
Because you feel at ease with people,
And you are confident in all situations,
With all of your decisions.
You always approach situations with this short phrase,
I can do it.
And you tell yourself you can do anything that you set your mind to,
Because you believe in yourself,
And you believe in yourself and other people believe in you.
You walk with a graceful air of inner confidence and self-assurance,
Because you are your own best friend.
You have all the confidence you need to deal effectively with any situation that may arise.
And just remember that whenever you want to feel more confident and more at ease,
Or simply to draw into your awareness those wonderful,
Strong,
Confident,
Positive feelings,
All you need to do is take that long,
Slow,
Deep breath.
Really breathe all the air into your lungs.
And as you exhale,
Remember to squeeze together the thumb and middle finger of your right hand,
Because this is the hand that you depend on.
This is your confidence hand,
And those wonderful,
Strong,
Positive feelings flow right back into your awareness.
You can use this technique whenever a situation arises,
When you want to draw into yourself those confident feelings.
And the more often you practice this technique,
The stronger it becomes,
And the more confident you feel.
You feel wonderful.
Now in a moment or two,
I will count up to five.
And at the count of five,
You will be wide,
Wide awake.
You will have beautiful feelings flowing through your body,
Calm and peaceful thoughts flowing through your mind.
And these wonderful,
Calm and peaceful thoughts and feelings will remain with you each and every day.
They will remain,
And they will stay with you.
So get ready now as I count up to five.
And come all the way back in at the count of five.
One,
Feeling strong,
Positive,
And confident.
Two,
Feel these beautiful feelings of peace and calm flowing throughout your body.
Three,
Locking these feelings into your daily practice.
Four,
Coming back into your body now,
Feel your fingers and your toes.
Wiggle slightly in whatever position you chose,
Whether it's lying down or sitting.
Five,
Feeling wide awake,
Confident.
Open your eyes.
