If you close your eyes and listen to your own mind, you will hear the voices of your father, your mother, your brother and sisters, neighbours, teachers, priests, and everyone else except for your own voice. Under the burden of all those voices, your own voice is lost. Your own voice is missing! Listen to this discourse and meditate along. Namaste everyone,

A very warm welcome to all of you in this live meditation session with me,

Dehansi.

We are meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.

If you close your eyes and just listen to your own mind,

You will hear voices of your father,

Voices of your mother,

Your brother,

Sister,

Your friends,

Your neighbors,

And all sorts of people.

You will hear so many different voices of the whole crowd.

What will be missing is your own voice.

All these voices that are there in your mind,

That are going on all the time in your mind,

The voice of your father,

The voice of your mother,

Your grandparents,

Your friends,

Your relatives,

Your voices coming from your religion,

From your priests,

From your culture,

From the people that are there working with you,

The people that are surrounding you,

So many voices that you are all the time surrounded with,

As if the whole crowd in your mind is constantly speaking.

Just close your eyes and listen to your own mind and see it for yourself.

Listen to it for yourself and ask yourself where is your own voice.

All these voices that are there,

They are fighting amongst themselves,

Taking you here and there.

One says go this way,

The other one says go that way.

One says this is your voice.

All these voices are trying to claim to be your voice.

They are saying I am yourself.

I am myself.

But none of these voices are your own voice.

What is missing is your own voice.

Where is your own voice?

In this crowd of different voices,

How do you find,

Discover your own voice?

Where have you lost your own voice?

When will you live your own voice?

And the question is that silence in which this whole crowd that you are carrying in your mind,

It silences.

For once there is no crowd in you.

This crowd is put to rest so that that voice that is forgotten in you,

That voice that was never given a chance to be developed in you,

It finally rises.

It drives your life into places,

Into ways,

Out of its own spontaneity,

Out of its own authenticity and gives your life a certain authenticity.

You living life out of the voices of the crowd is not an authentic life.

It is a life of the crowd lived through you.

Where are you?

When are you going to live your life and not the crowd living your life?

Take these moments to reflect where you lost your own voice.

Where did the crowd enter?

As we grow from children being children to moving to adulthood,

All along the way we are losing this voice because parents with their good intentions,

Meaning all good,

Still impose their voice on children.

Every father,

Every mother,

Every grandparents,

Every family member is trying to prepare you for life,

Trying to tell their wisdom to you.

In that wisdom of the crowd,

You never are allowed to have your own voice being developed,

Have your own spontaneity being developed,

Have your own discovery of who you really are.

All this wisdom given by your family,

By your religion,

By your culture,

By all these surroundings,

All these conditionings that shape as voices in you,

They mean good but what good have they done to you?

Look at yourself,

There is a full crowd in you with the voices of the crowd without having your own voice.

Your own voice is missing and children are so close to discovering themselves,

So close to their authenticity if we only allow the children to be themselves,

To live their authentic being,

To have them discover their authentic being.

Every child should be taught meditation,

Should be taught to be in silence,

To have to cancel all this crowd that comes and tries to preach,

Tries to teach their ways,

Impose their voice on children.

Two grandchildren were taken by a grandmother to the zoo.

Grandmother was explaining both the grandchildren about each and every animal and their roles and teaching both the grandchildren.

She reached to this one place where she saw peacock.

She said to the grandchildren,

Look that peacock is what brings you children like yourself from heaven to the ground.

This is what creates you into existence.

Both the children said,

Thank you grandmother for your wisdom.

And they both looked at each other,

They giggled,

They said,

Should we tell her the truth?

The other child said to the first one,

He said,

No let her be in her beliefs,

Let her enjoy that and they both kept on giggling.

Children know the truth,

They are so close to the truth but we give them beliefs,

We give them these voices that stay in their head throughout their life.

We give them fears.

Yes,

We don't want children not to suffer in life but in that process we create the suffering for them which they suffer throughout their lives.

They may not stumble but they will always remain in the fear of not stumbling or stumbling at some point of time.

That fear that you instill in your children is far more dangerous,

Far more destructive which you yourself are living,

Which has been imparted in you,

The voices of those fears in you that are your living right now.

Where are they coming from?

They are coming from the parents,

From the culture,

From the religion,

From the outside,

From the crowd.

You are living the crowd in your head.

When are you going to live your own life?

To do that in meditative silence,

Allowing this crowd to settle,

Allowing your own voice to rise up,

You discovering,

Finding your own voice.

That is what spirituality is all about.

It is not about running away into the mountains or practicing some sort of belief system.

Spirituality is to live your authentic life.

By first of all discovering your authentic self,

By discovering your authentic voice,

How do you do that?

You cannot do that until the crowd in you is put to rest.

Learn to put this crowd in you to rest.

Have the courage to let your own voice rise up.

This spiritual journey,

This starts with you containing the crowd in you,

You getting sick of this crowd in you,

You wanting to have the silence of this crowd in you and your own voice to rise.

This journey starts with this realization that you must do something about that and along the way you putting this crowd to rest,

You identifying,

Discovering your own true self.

Through this true self you get the energy for purpose in life.

You get the authenticity to enjoy the life as who you really are.

You discover the beauty of life and along this journey when this individuality,

When this individual self also has served its purpose and you start growing beyond even your individuality,

Even your limited self which is your authentic self but it is still limited.

Then you start growing beyond that.

Then spirituality also takes its full swing where you start expanding beyond yourself.

You start expanding beyond the individual consciousness to this universal consciousness to the God consciousness that you really yourself are.

So the journey is from you being a crowd,

You not being yourself,

From the crowd to your authentic limited self,

To this self that is there in all of us,

The one self that is there in all of us.

This one self may appear as the crowd.

The crowd is not the one self.

The crowd is the absence of your true self.

This crowd is simply the noises,

The conditionings that are there in you that you have been carrying all throughout your past.

This meditative silence is the chance to drop that past,

To drop it entirely,

To not keep anything out of this past,

To not have even a single voice in your head.

That silence where there is absolutely no voice in your mind,

No good voice,

No bad voice,

No voice at all,

In that silence where there is no voice in your head,

Then somewhere,

Somehow in the spontaneity,

In the aliveness of your life,

Suddenly your consciousness opens up,

Which was supposed to be there in the first place,

Which was supposed to be there in every child,

In the natural growth of every child,

But was somehow suppressed,

Somehow was loaded with all other voices,

With the burden of all different layers of these voices creating a mess,

Creating a crowd,

Creating a fight,

Creating all these dispersions taking you in different directions,

Not giving your life any purpose,

Any one single direction.

All this burden is falling apart and in that silence,

If you stay longer,

You start to hear your own voice.

That voice that is non-verbal,

That voice that does not speak in any language,

But expresses through every movement of your life,

It expresses through your mind,

It expresses through your body,

It expresses through your heart,

It expresses through your spirit,

That voice expresses through all of you,

Not just a few words,

Not that you will close your eyes and some voice,

Some inner voice will speak to you in the silence of the mind,

In the absence of all the crowd that you are carrying as your past in you,

This voice,

Authentic voice,

Your voice rises up and it expresses itself throughout your life,

In every aspect of your life,

You once again become authentic,

Just like a child,

Just like a child is there in its full authenticity,

You become once again innocent,

Authentic,

True being.

Let us take this moment to be in silence,

Be in meditation,

Take this first half of the journey which is from the crowd to the silence in today's session and the second half of the journey which is from this limited self,

From this limited self which you call as yourself to the unlimited self,

To the universal consciousness,

To the self that is one that is there in all of us.

That journey we will take tomorrow,

In tomorrow's session,

Go into the sutra given by Bhairava in Vigyan Bhairavatam.

Please close your eyes and take a posture that is comfortable for you,

Allowing your body to be at rest,

Giving you space,

Awareness to observe the world,

To face the crowd in your mind.

For the next minutes,

Simply remain aware of the voices in your head,

In that awareness those voices will heal,

In that awareness those voices will disappear as you realize they are not your voices.

Sitting silently,

Being aware of your mind,

Your inner space and the voices that come from nowhere and disappear in nowhere but that are there in your mind.

Simply listen without participating or judging those voices.

Breathing in and out.

Breath flowing naturally.

Breathing in and out.

What may appear as your voice is not your voice.

Simply listen to these voices in your mind.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing out.

Breathing out.

Breathing out.

Breathing your silence,

Allowing these voices to rest.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing out.

No forcing,

No conflict.

Being aware and silent.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing out.
