#97. Outer World Is A Reflection Of Inner World | VBT
As the awareness rises, you see things about the outer world that you had never noticed before. You may even feel disconnected and in disagreement with many of its aspects. However, it is all a reflection of what is happening within.

Namaste everyone.
A very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me,
Dhyanse.
We are meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Uighyan Bhairav Tantra.
Let us begin this session by meditating and contemplating on a question from one of our meditators.
Because this may also be your question.
The questioner says,
I find it hard to tolerate and ask myself why.
This not fitting in with the norm grows even more on this path I am on and has spread to other areas of my life such as relationships where I feel a disconnect.
Do other meditators find this or have become aware?
I take myself out of rooms to avoid this aurora.
On occasions my ego reacts and I fall into unconscious.
Is this part of the path?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is this a cause,
Is this a case of where I am is not the right circumstance for me?
This question is not just one person's question.
This question is of so many of you on the spiritual path.
As this awareness grows,
As you become meditative,
You suddenly start feeling a distance from the rest.
You suddenly start to disidentify with the rest.
You suddenly start to feel what is going on in this world and you say I find myself not fitting in with this demographic.
I find it hard to tolerate and I ask myself why.
Why is this happening and what to do?
Please understand that meditation and this rise of awareness,
This consciousness is like a mirror.
What it shows you in this mirror it has nothing to do with its true nature.
This consciousness,
This awareness simply shows you what is.
And what you see in the outside world is a reflection of what is there inside of you.
Remember that in this consciousness,
In this awareness,
What you see in the outside world is simply a reflection of who you are in the inner world.
If you see the beauty in the outer world,
You have beauty in the inner world.
If you see the ugliness in the outer world,
You have somewhere deep down ugliness in you.
If you see the negativity in people,
Negativity in circumstances,
Negativity in the world,
Take this chance to have the courage to see in these reflections,
To see in the mirror of consciousness that you have that negativity in yourself first.
This is what is creating the negativity of the world because this world is not separate from you.
In this meditative awareness,
As the awareness turns inwards,
It may give you this impression that you are separate from the world because for the very first time you come out of the drunkenness,
You come out of the unconsciousness,
You are for the very first time suddenly aware of yourself.
Not in that self-awareness,
What you see and is reflected in the outside world is not separate from you.
That outside world is clearly a reflection of your inner world.
So when you see that you are becoming aware of this negativity of people,
Of circumstances,
And you find it hard to tolerate,
Obviously when you see for the very first time this negativity,
You cannot believe it,
But you are projecting it on the outside world.
In this journey,
On this spiritual growth,
Have the courage to reflect on this as a part of yourself.
This negativity,
This ugliness of the world,
This unconsciousness of the world which is intolerable to you,
Which is unacceptable to you,
See that this is arising out of yourself first.
Unless you do that,
It will never change.
There is no change possible unless you identify that in yourself first.
Otherwise,
In denial,
In hiding,
You will run away from it and that will remain unconscious in you forever.
That aspect will remain unconscious in you,
That ugliness will remain unconscious in our psyche and when we will project this on the outside world,
We will only see negativity.
And this separation between you and the world will increase.
You will want to go somewhere and therefore all the meditators have this natural,
Innate urge to go somewhere to an ashram,
To be somewhere on top of the mountain where they are far away from the world.
When you are far away from the world,
You are just hiding not facing yourself because you in essence are the world.
The world in essence is you,
Is me,
Is all of us.
Therefore,
It is important to first of all acknowledge this,
Embrace this,
Be with it,
Be in awareness,
Be in consciousness of the unconscious.
This process of being conscious of the unconscious is the tantra journey that we have been taking for months where the unconscious and the conscious they meet.
When we give ourselves this opportunity,
This chance,
This space,
This vibration where we allow the unconscious to merge into the conscious,
The way to do that is to be in compassion,
To be in love.
Without compassion,
Without love,
You will only be in rejection,
You will only be in denial,
In intolerance and you will only react to the world in ways that will never solve this unconsciousness.
It will rather increase this unconsciousness in the world and you will try to move away from this world,
Disconnect from this world,
Disconnect from all your relationships,
Disconnect from everything around you.
You have to dis-identify,
Not disconnect.
Please remember,
Do not disconnect.
Disconnect from the world because this world is you,
You are the world.
Do not disconnect,
Dis-identify,
Dis-identify to have a distance so that you can reflect on it,
So that you can see the true nature of it,
So that you can see the true nature of yourself.
So the first thing is to see that in the mirror of consciousness,
Whatever is reflected,
Whatever you see in the outside world is somewhere a reflection of your own inner world.
Secondly,
You approach this unconsciousness with love and compassion.
Without that love and compassion,
There is no possibility of your transformation,
There is no possibility of the transformation of the world.
And thirdly,
Don't ask,
Give.
This change must happen in you,
This change must happen in all of us.
Don't ask,
Give.
Unless we give,
Unless we share our love,
Unless we are compassionate,
Unless we give to the world,
There is no transformation possible and not only you,
Every meditator,
Anyone who will be somewhat aware of how things are in the world,
How things are in ourselves,
Will come to this basic primary awareness that there is negativity outside because that negativity is within.
Whatever we are creating,
Consisting as this world together in an interconnected way is all arising out of who we really are inside,
Not our true nature,
But what we have become all throughout this time.
So don't ask from this world to give you a circumstance,
A perfect circumstance where you can be happy,
Rather give.
Give your love,
Have your love shared outwards into the world,
Give your compassion,
Be compassionate to the world and there the change happens.
You start to see that in that process you become loving to yourself,
You become compassionate to your own self and sooner or later this separation between you and the world disappears.
You become the whole world because in essence you are the whole world.
This individuality that you carry,
This has its own place.
This individuality,
This experience of I am has its own place but in its essence we are all one.
We cannot separate the right arm from the left arm.
We have to see ourselves as whole,
As one and if there is ugliness outside that ugliness needs to be addressed within.
There is a second part of your question which I will very briefly address.
You say,
Aligned with this,
There are times where essence is ever present throughout days of which I stay present,
The so called up.
As other times I find I fall into unconsciousness and egoic mind thoughts become ever present,
The so called down.
Has anyone else also experienced this?
Is this down part a time and alert for me to delve ever deeper?
Yes.
See,
As long as there is this up and down,
You have not yet reached to the awareness,
To the true self.
In the very beginning of your question you say it allowed me to eventually find the whole my true self.
You have not yet reached to your true self.
When you reach to your true self there are no ups,
There are no downs.
The ups that you are having is the rise of your ego in the presence of awareness,
In the presence of your consciousness there is a rise of ego as well and in that rise of ego you feel I am.
You feel the energies are up and what is going up is bound to come down.
You fall into the abyss.
In that fall you are falling into unconsciousness and you are on this cycle of up and down all throughout your life.
Remember this restful awareness,
This meditative awareness which we talk about which in all spiritual traditions is the common denominator,
Is the common goal that restful awareness,
That true self has no ups,
Has no downs.
That true self,
That restful awareness is always the same.
What is happening?
The ups and the downs,
Those manifestations of what is happening in your energies,
They have nothing to do with the restful awareness and the journey that we are on,
This shift that we are on is from all these ups and downs from what you are experiencing in your mind,
In your emotions,
From that to restful awareness.
A place which always remains eternally peaceful.
That is the place where we in every session move from wherever we are in life to that place of restful awareness which is always peaceful.
In this regard let us briefly listen to what Bhairava has to give in Vigyan Bhairava Tantra as a technique and then practice this technique for the next minutes of this session.
Bhairava says,
At the time of asserting I am,
This is me,
Become aware of that which contracts.
Let me repeat,
At the time of asserting I am,
This is me,
Become aware of that which contracts.
This is a very simple and very important sutra,
A technique which will show you in those moments of ego when you say I am,
Or this is me,
Or this is mine,
In those moments suddenly there is a contraction happening.
If you remain aware in those moments you will see that suddenly something in you is contracting,
Your consciousness is contracting and if you become aware of that contraction it allows you to take a distance,
It allows you to have this disidentification with the contraction and you can be in restful awareness at a distance without having your consciousness contracting in situations and you acting out of ego.
So let us practice this in our silence,
In our meditation for the next minutes where it will remind us of the sense of self,
Where it will remind us of the I,
The I am and in that experience become aware of the contraction that happens and then we let go of this sense of I am and once again that contraction becomes the expansion of consciousness.
Please close your eyes and take a posture that is restful for you with your head,
Neck and back relaxed.
Sense of alertness while you stay relaxed.
As the breath find its natural pace,
Turn your awareness inwards.
Towards your inner space and give yourself a few moments for your awareness to settle in your inner space.
In these moments of silence remind yourself of the sense of I,
I am and observe your awareness,
Observe your inner space,
Observe your consciousness.
Remind yourself of I am and simply observing what happens.
Up Breathe.
.
Bringing your energy from all directions to the sense of I am.
.
And observe the changes in your awareness in your inner space.

.
Remembering the sense of I am.

Giving you a sense of self,
A sense of presence,

I have listened to this meditation before, but it has been awhile. I find your teachings beautiful and most helpful. I do hope you are out there somewhere still teaching and offering this much needed art of meditation.
