Welcome.
My name is Asha.
Thank you for joining me today.
Today we will be embarking on a journey together.
We will be using a combination of visualization and mindfulness to help you explore where you find flow in your life.
To help you gain deep insights into how you can access that inner flow inside your body in the here and now.
And find clarity around how you can design a more flowing,
More aligned,
More creative life.
Flow is a state of being fully engaged,
Completely absorbed in your life.
It's active,
Intuitive,
And a blissful place to be.
The more flow we feel in our day,
The greater our well-being and our productivity.
And the more impact we can have in the world.
So with that said,
Let's begin.
We'll start by closing your eyes.
Feel your spine gently straighten.
An alert but relaxed posture.
You may be sitting,
Standing,
Or lying down for this practice.
Wherever you are,
Settle in.
Take a deep,
Long inhale all the way through your nose,
All the way in,
Down your diaphragm.
Hold for a moment.
And release.
Long,
Slow exhale out.
Feel how the entire body responds to the flow of oxygen circulating through you.
Enthrashing every tendon,
Every cell,
Every nerve.
Let's do it again.
Take a long,
Deep inhale in all the way in,
Holding at the top,
And a long,
Slow exhale out.
Notice how,
With your eyes closed,
Your mind's eye is able to open.
Allow your memory to take you to a time in your life where you experienced a sense of flow.
There's no need to judge where your mind takes you in this moment.
Allow it to flow to whatever comes to mind.
It might be something quite recent,
Or something that happened a long,
Long time ago.
It may be a sensation you felt during exercise,
Or while watching the sunset,
Or playing music,
Or working on a task or hobby you deeply enjoy,
Staring into the eyes of a newborn child.
Whatever it is,
Whatever it is that first comes to your mind in this moment,
Let your mind begin to rest here.
Bring to mind as much rich and vivid sensory detail that you can.
See the colors around you in the memory.
The temperature of the air at that time.
What were you hearing around you?
How did your body feel?
What were you doing?
Notice every little detail that arises.
And notice also where you felt the flow in your body.
Was it a rush of warmth through your chest?
Tingling on your skin?
Did your breath feel rich and full in your lungs?
Maybe it was a feeling of being peaceful and at ease,
A restfulness in your bones.
Allow yourself now to feel this vision fully.
So fully,
So richly,
So vividly that it's as if you're there right now.
Can you feel it in your body in this very moment?
Feel how it begins to arise in the sensations of your body here.
Sense into that moment of flow.
You might notice how as you bring this memory to mind so vividly,
A smile might flitter across your face in this moment.
Or your breath might become more even and smooth.
Or maybe your hands unclench and your muscles release.
Feel the flow of that moment right here,
Right now.
And as you allow yourself to feel that sensation of flow,
Allow that sensation to expand.
Allow yourself to envision this flow like a radiant flowing energy expanding from deep within your body where your memory resides.
Traveling now along your spine and outward to your skin,
Tingling throughout your limbs and your fingers and your toes until your entire body becomes enveloped in this radiant flowing energy.
Gently,
Softly now,
Let the visualization fall away and find yourself sitting in the pure sensations of this moment.
In this place of pure sensation,
Ask yourself this question.
What will help me cultivate flow in my life now?
What will help me cultivate this flow in my life now?
And allow the body to respond.
Allow the images or the words or the silence to flow through you in this moment without effort,
Without judgment.
What will help me cultivate flow in my life?
Know that this flow,
Supported and nurtured by your actions,
By your environment,
Ultimately comes from within.
We create the flow within our body.
And from that flowing energetic space,
We have the ability to make choices that cultivate and nurture this flow that help us to expand and grow and design a life that is abundant and aligned with our values.
Take a long breath in now.
Exhale it out.
Coming back to the sensations of the space you are in in this moment.
The feeling of your body being held by gravity.
The embrace of air on your skin.
The body being breathed.
And the sounds arriving freely on your ears.
All the sensations of being alive,
Flowing effortlessly through you.
When you're ready,
Opening your eyes to allow sight to flow in as well.
You may wish to take a few minutes to rest here,
Eyes open in this present flowing space of awareness.
Or you may wish to journal and reflect on your experience today.
You can come back to this practice anytime you wish to reconnect with your inner flow and call on the sensations of this flow as you go about your day.
May this help you to work and live and lead with intention.
Thank you for your practice.
May you have a flowing,
Intentional and beautiful rest of your day.
Namaste.
