Let's do a self-exploration meditation on I Am That,
Chapter 8,
Don't Disturb Peace.
Let's sit comfortably and let's close our eyes.
Step beyond the body-mind and remain as the witness of the body-mind.
Relax,
Just be,
There is nothing to do.
Let the witness relax.
Sink back into the field of awareness,
Into the field of consciousness,
Into the field of nothingness.
Rest,
Relax.
Notice the nature of the field of nothingness.
Notice the nature of the field of consciousness.
Notice the nature of the field of awareness.
It is an infinitely,
Limitless ocean of live awareness.
Do you notice its infinity?
Do you notice the material that it is made up of is consciousness,
Is awareness,
Is nothingness?
Sink into it,
Relax into it,
Melt away into it.
Do you notice that it is empty of thingness and full of nothingness?
Do you notice it is full of nothingness and empty of thingness?
Do you notice that it is devoid of all opposites of excitement and depression?
Pleasure and pain,
Good and bad,
Right and wrong,
Attachment and aversion,
None of these opposites are there.
Do you notice that it is devoid of a subject and object?
Do you recognize that it is devoid of all opposites?
Do you recognize that it is devoid of I and not I?
Do you recognize it is devoid of I and not I?
The absence of all opposites leaves behind a quiet field of equanimity,
A quiet field of peace,
Precious,
Invaluable peace.
This is our true nature,
Precious,
Invaluable peace.
Our true nature is an infinite field of peace,
An infinite field of equanimity,
Precious,
Invaluable peace.
Don't disturb this peace by forgetting your nature of equanimity.
If a thought arises,
Whether pleasant or unpleasant,
It tends to exert a magnetic pull on you.
If you hold on to your witnessing ground of peace,
The thought will vanish.
If you lose your witnessing ground of peace,
You become the thought.
If a childhood memory arises,
Notice how you lose yourself into the image of the child in your mind.
You become that child.
If you get lost like that in a thought,
Ask yourself,
Are you the child in that memory,
Or are you this field of infinite peace,
Precious,
Invaluable peace?
This infinite field of peace,
Knew the child,
Watched that child grow into an adult,
And watched the adult start feeding away into seniority.
Are you that which kept changing from childhood to adulthood to seniorhood,
Or are you this precious,
Invaluable,
Quiet field of equanimity that witnesses it all?
That knows it all.
You are this precious,
Invaluable peace.
Don't disturb peace.
If you lose your witnessing ground of peace and become thoughts or feelings or sensations or perceptions,
You are disturbing peace.
Don't disturb peace.
Those who disturb peace don't deserve it.
Those who disturb peace are ineligible for peace.
Don't disturb peace.
Peace is lost on indulging in the imagination of I.
There is no I.
There is simply peace.
If you want peace,
Deserve it.
Be the precious,
Invaluable field of equanimity.
Precious,
Invaluable peace.
