So just go ahead and welcome yourself to this practice by getting any wiggles out,
Allowing the body to find a comfortable,
Relaxed position.
You don't need to be in any particular shape to do this.
So just letting yourself find what feels supportive and restful to you.
And as you're ready,
We're just going to slow the breath down,
Let the breath naturally deepen.
And I'm going to invite you to breathe in through the nose and out through the nose or out through the mouth.
And the invitation to the breath through this entire process is to be long,
To be soft,
To be slow,
And to be deep.
If at any point while you're in this practice,
You feel energy that needs to be discharged or moved,
You can bring a little movement to the body.
You can open your mouth on that exhale and yawn or sigh the breath out.
In fact,
Let's go ahead and do one of those deep sighing breaths right now to begin.
So take a deep breath in,
Maybe pause on that inhale.
Soften the body on that pause,
Maybe roll your shoulders,
Roll your hips,
Roll your jaw.
And then when you're ready to exhale,
Just let it move out with a nice open sigh.
And then sinking back into a nice long,
Deep,
Soft,
And slow rhythm of the breath.
Noticing it moving into the body.
Noticing it moving out of the body.
And go ahead and bring into your mind's eye a switchboard panel in front of you with seven switches or seven buttons that you could push.
Each one labeled with a number one through seven.
And when you're ready,
Flip the switch or press the button for number five.
As we bring our awareness and open ourselves into the field of the throat,
The energy center that we call number five in the body.
And you can bring some awareness to your own physical throat,
Your neck,
Even maybe the space from just beneath the ears all the way down to the top of the chest.
As we're opening this field of the throat,
I'm going to invite you to notice the space around the body.
Starting in the front.
And if you notice the heaviness or the stuckness there,
It might feel something like mud or even some cement,
Some putty.
And just notice if you could direct the exhale towards that stuckness in the space in front of the neck,
In the front of the body.
That's a little solid.
Maybe even inviting the breath to have a bit of heat,
A bit of warmth,
A bit of melting power to begin to soften and melt what is stuck or held there.
You might find that you want to use a little bit of fire energy or perhaps warm water.
Just to begin to invite this opening,
This letting go of the energy that's being held just outside of the physical body in the field of the throat.
And it feels like all the things we don't say,
All the things that we hold back,
All that comes up but doesn't move out.
And just also noticing that how as we carry this heaviness in the front,
It puts a strain on the back.
Just allowing yourself to use your imagination to direct the energy right now.
Maybe even saying out loud or to yourself,
I am willing to soften and let go of this energy.
I don't need to punish myself for not having said it in the past.
If you want,
You can take your non-dominant hand,
Kind of reach it in front of the body.
Just feel like you're moving all of that stuckness out.
Just clearing it away,
Maybe toss it into the garbage can,
Put it out to compost in the garden,
Flush it down the toilet.
That moment has passed.
We don't need to hold on to it.
And just maybe saying to yourself or saying out loud,
I am willing to stop suppressing my voice.
I'm willing to open my expression.
And then just go ahead and send that breath that you've been using to melt or to soften to clear 360 degrees all around the throat,
All around the head,
The upper chest.
Clearing out any cobwebs,
Any dust,
Any stagnation in this field.
I choose to unburden my voice.
You can give a little bobble to your head,
Letting the neck and the jaw free up just a little bit.
You might notice there's some coughing that needs to move through or even sneezing,
Just some things that have been stuck.
You can also take a deep breath here and on your exhale,
Stick out your tongue and hiss a little bit.
Letting the back of the neck lengthen,
Letting the front of the throat soften.
And we're going to think about the vocal box in the throat and the listening of the ears and connect them together.
So whether you're going to speak out loud or you're speaking into yourself,
You're still going to be using your voice and you're going to be listening.
And we're going to let the ears speak through the voice,
But speaking to the throat,
To the voice.
And the ears say,
I am able and willing to listen to you.
I desire to hear you.
I desire to know you.
And we let the throat hear through the ears,
That message.
And so feel the sensations of the throat listening.
As the ears speak,
I am willing to hear you.
I desire to know you.
I am ready to receive you.
And let the throat listen.
And if there's anything else for your ears to speak to the throat,
For your throat to hear from the ears,
Or even from the throat to speak to the ears,
Go ahead and say and hear that now.
And we're going to keep those ears online,
Listening and receiving.
And we're going to bring the throat into connection now to the heart and the belly.
And we're going to let the throat speak first to the belly.
What does the throat need for safety and support from the belly?
How does the throat need to be held?
How does the throat need to be bolstered?
Energetically,
Emotionally,
Maybe even physically connecting the core of the body to support the shoulders,
The neck,
The head.
Let the throat speak to the belly.
Let the belly hear and receive the throat.
And if the belly needs to respond,
It can speak and the throat can listen.
What is needed for safety,
For support?
To allow the throat to be open,
To be authentically,
Vulnerably,
And dynamically expressive.
To allow creativity to flow.
To allow ideas and creations and expressions to be received out into the world as an offering.
And as you're feeling into safety and support,
It may be words that come through,
It may be sensations,
It may be images.
It may be something non-verbal that feels a little elusive right now,
And that's okay.
Just continue to invite the throat to share with the belly,
And the belly to receive and to also share anything it needs to.
And then bring the awareness into the heart.
Connecting the heart and the throat.
How does the throat need to know that it is accepted,
That it is loved,
It is cherished?
That the creations and the expressions and the visibility and the engagement and the ways of moving energy are allowed,
Are invited?
What does the throat need to know?
It is supported in love,
It is cherished,
It is invited,
It is received,
It is trustworthy.
Let the heart receive from the throat what it needs,
And let the heart respond.
And taking a deep breath in and a big sighing breath out.
Bringing the awareness back to the center of the throat.
We're going to invite the turquoise ray of light to begin to pour from the top of the head into the throat.
Moving up from the earth,
The bottom of the feet,
All the way through the body into the throat.
From the right side and the left side and the front and the back.
So activating this turquoise ray of light in all three planes of movement.
Letting the light stream into this throat.
Letting every cell through the fascia,
Through the bones,
Through the muscle,
All the tissues,
All the tendons,
All the organs.
Even the skin receiving.
The bones of the spine that move through this area,
The cervical spine.
Drinking in this turquoise ray of light.
And then allowing truth to move through this throat portal.
Speaking out loud or to yourself at least three I am statements.
What is the truth that is moving through you?
I am safe to open my voice.
I am accepted and celebrated for my authentic expression.
I am fully open to the flow of my voice of my expression.
I am safe enough to step into my creative expression.
I am safe enough to be received in my expression.
I am able to express.
Taking one more deep breath in,
Let even more of that turquoise light come into the body.
Let it overflow around the body.
Thank the belly for safety.
Thank the heart for love and connection.
Thank the throat for its brilliant,
Brilliant work of opening to new,
Dynamic,
And exciting expression.
Give your body a little hug,
A little wiggle,
A little jiggle.
As you begin to swim up from your depths,
Bringing with you this openness,
This newness,
All of this light.
Remembering that you can tap back into this turquoise ray,
Allowing this activation to create new energy,
Bring new energy into the body.
And that the more you practice attuning the throat to the belly and to the heart,
The more resourced it will be.
And the more supported your expression can be.
One more deep sigh.
Rolling your shoulders,
Stretching your body.
Blinking your eyes open when you're ready.
Thanking yourself for going on that journey.
Thanking your throat for all that it does.
Thanking the breath,
The body,
And the light.
Beautifully done.
