Welcome to this body connection meditation.

This body scan style guided meditation is designed to increase your connection,

Love and appreciation towards your body,

As well as strengthen your mind and body connection to foster a greater sense of unity and wholeness.

So just begin by closing down your eyes,

Just getting comfortable whether that's sitting or lying down,

Allowing for any last-minute adjustments,

Removing any distractions.

Just begin by a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth,

Breathing in relaxation,

And just breathing out any tightness,

Any tension,

As we bring the awareness to the breath.

A gentle rise and fall with every inhale and every exhale,

Just allowing each breath to anchor you a little more into this present moment,

Where there is nowhere else you need to be and nothing else you need to be doing,

As we take some time to pour some love and appreciation into your body for all that it does for you,

For all that it allows you to do.

Throughout this process you may want to move your hands to selected parts of your body,

Or simply lie back and receive all of the words that I say.

So begin by shifting your focus to the top of your head,

Feeling a warm gentle light pouring down through the top of your head,

And as you visualize this light coming down through your head,

Just feeling it melt away any tension or stress that you may be carrying in this area,

Allowing the top of your head to relax completely,

And now sending a wave of love and appreciation to your beautiful mind for all the hard work that it does,

For all that it allows you to do each and every day,

Acknowledging its brilliance,

Capability,

Creativity,

And problem-solving abilities,

Just letting go of any negative thoughts or judgment,

And just filling this area with pure love,

Peace,

As you become one with your mind and your thoughts in this moment,

And now shifting your focus to your eyes and your ears,

And just imagine a soft healing light caressing these beautiful organs,

Bringing clarity to your vision and openness to your hearing,

Thanking your eyes for helping you to see,

Helping you to see the beauty in the world around you every day,

Thanking your ears for allowing you to connect with the world through sound,

It is because of your ears that you can hear this meditation today,

Now embracing your nose and your mouth,

And as you breathe in,

Just notice the air filling your lungs,

And any scents that come in with it,

Sending love and gratitude to your nose for the ability to smell,

Flowers,

Rain,

Puppies,

The freshness of life,

As we send gratitude and appreciation to your mouth for the ability to taste delicious food,

And for the ability to express your thoughts and emotion through speech,

And now placing your hands over your heart,

And just feel its gentle beating,

Each and every moment of your day,

Your heart beats,

And it keeps you alive,

You don't have to think about making this happen,

It just does it,

And just sending love to your heart for the gift of life,

And also for its ability to feel deeply and connect with others,

Just feeling your heart space expand with love,

What a beautiful thing it is to love and to be loved in return,

And now inviting a few deep inhales and exhales,

As you shift your attention to your lungs,

Thanking your lungs for allowing you to breathe in air each day,

The gift of life,

An automatic function that just happens without a lot of thought or effort,

And as you allow for a gentle inhale,

Just noticing how good it feels to simply breathe,

And now shifting your focus to your stomach area,

Just pouring love,

Appreciation,

Gratitude all through your internal organs,

Thanking them for allowing your body to function the way that it does,

For digestion,

Circulation,

And running so many of your bodily functions,

And just allowing any tightness or tension to move through this area,

As we invite in peace,

Harmony,

And now shifting your attention to your limbs,

And just pouring love,

Appreciation into each limb,

Muscle,

Your bones and joints,

Thanking them for allowing you to move,

For supporting you each and every day,

For mobility,

And for the freedom that allows you to explore the world in your own unique way,

And now just expanding out your awareness to your whole body now,

Feel the interconnectedness of all of your body parts,

Working together in complete harmony,

Taking a moment to pour immense love,

Gratitude,

Appreciation into your entire being,

Accepting yourself wholly,

Completely,

Just as you are,

Thanking your body for all that it allows you to do each day,

This beautiful body that was given to you from the day you were born all the way up until now,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

As we take a final moment to thank it for all that it does each and every day,

For the life it allows us to live,

For the pleasure it allows us to experience,

The adventures it allows to unfold,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

Remembering that your body is a vessel of love,

Strength,

And wisdom,

And by connecting to it,

And pouring love into it,

We can begin to cultivate a deeper sense of connection and appreciation to your body,

Just taking a final moment with it here,

You may want to invite in a gentle smile,

You may want to give yourself a little cuddle,

It may be a part of your body that is needing a little love right now,

Maybe you simply want to place your hands on this part of your body,

Just pouring love through your hands to wherever is needing it,

Holding yourself a little tighter,

Knowing that your body is always here to work with you,

It's on your team,

And it allows you the gift of life every single day,

By all that it does,

And you can come back to this meditation whenever you need to connect a little more,

Whenever you need to pour some appreciation and love into your body,

And when you are ready,

You can slowly begin to come back into this space,

Allowing for some gentle movement,

And when you are ready,

You can open your eyes,

And as you come out of this meditation,

I invite you to go and do something for your physical body,

Can you drink some more water,

Can you go and move it in some way,

Can you rest,

Can you nourish it a little more,

What can you do to say thank you to your body today,

For all that it allows you to do.
