This meditation practice is super super grounding and along with the guided part we also do a hand position.
So we'll be holding our hands in a certain way so the energy in our bodies will begin to ground.
And then we'll also be doing a breathing technique that I'll initiate a little bit into the meditation practice.
And this breathing technique is one of the most grounding ways to really center and feel the shift within your body.
It's a visualization,
It's super simple and you're just visualizing the breath moving in a certain way in the body.
So may you get ready to connect with the earth,
To connect with the feeling of being centered and calm.
And allow this hand position and the breathing technique within the practice to really take it to a whole other level.
Enjoy.
Welcome to your meditation practice.
My name is Laura.
Thank you for joining me today.
Let's take some time now to find a comfortable seat.
Maybe some support behind your back.
And we'll gently close our eyes.
Now let's take a hand position,
Hand mudra.
So just a position of the hands with the fingers to ground the energy.
So all you're going to do is touch your thumb tip,
Tip of your thumb,
To the tip of your ring finger on both hands.
So thumb is touching the ring finger,
Pressing the pads of the fingers into one another a little bit.
And then your pointer finger,
Middle finger and pinky finger is just straight out.
Relax your hands down,
Backs of the hands on the thighs.
These hand mudras are an energetic lock.
So simply holding our hands this way is moving the energy within our body towards the intention of grounding,
Grounding it.
Allow yourself to settle into this feeling and simply just watch the breath.
Notice again the qualities of the ground.
Think about the earthly things such as grass,
Soil,
Bugs,
Everything that's really grounded in the earth.
Rock,
A lot of sturdy components of the ground.
Feel yourself connected to that energy.
And bringing your awareness to the ground,
We're going to breathe down into the ground.
So as you breathe in,
Visualize your breath going down your spine,
Down your torso,
Into the ground,
Breathing into the ground.
As you breathe out,
Visualize the breath coming up from the ground,
Into your body,
Up your torso,
Filling your body even more with that very sturdy,
Stable sensation of the earth.
Visualizing the breath going down as you breathe in,
Visualizing the breath come up as you breathe out.
Long,
Slow breaths.
Breathing in and out.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
In about 30 more seconds,
Breathing like this.
Breathing out.
Gently release the visualization.
Tune in to notice the internal shift,
Whatever that may be for you.
Breathing in.
And adding a little smile on your face to accompany this peaceful,
Rounded feeling you have within you.
And as you smile,
You begin to draw into your awareness everything you are grateful for in your life.
The loving relationships you have,
The feeling of sunshine you get to feel on your face.
Your ability to express and share your love.
Feeling so grateful.
Feeling the abundance you have in your life.
And as you focus on it,
It grows.
The feeling grows.
And the experience of your abundant life gets bigger,
Gets stronger.
With this smile and this feeling inside of you,
Release your hand mudra.
Take your arms up to the sky.
Open up your hands.
And then open up your heart.
Lift your head.
Take a few deep breaths.
Breathing in this abundance and sighing out.
I am abundant.
I am grateful.
I love my life.
And gently releasing back down.
Make your hands together.
Give them a little rub.
And pause.
Connect deeply to how you feel inside.
And allow this energy,
This grounded feeling of abundance to guide your day,
To guide your interactions.
And gently opening up your eyes.
