Find a comfortable place to sit or you can lay down on a sofa or a yoga mat.
Take a deep breath in and out and slowly relax your muscles and relax your body.
Close your eyes.
Imagine yourself on a palace looking out from the window.
You can see a lush land.
Filled with trees,
Little houses on the mountains,
At crystal clear lakes,
At farmland where the crop is slowly dancing in the wind,
Moving from left to right and left to right.
Being the goddess of farming and harvest,
Atarkattis encourages us to enjoy the labors of our work.
Imagine teenagers,
Children and adults working in the fields.
Their brown hands picking berries,
Cutting down barley,
Flax,
Peas and lentils.
Cows and goats walking,
Cooling down underneath the shades of sycamores.
And the sun rising above the Euphrates river.
This is the land where Atarkattis was born,
The first era when man started to grow plants and trees for themselves,
To eat,
To make fabrics,
To grow trees with delicious fruits.
You can see the goats and oxen walking.
Like everyone else,
They are enjoying this day,
Eating hay and watching fluffy clouds moving in the sky.
Then turn yourself away from the window.
The palace of Atarkattis is light.
Sun rays touch the floor and the pool which glimmers in the sunlight.
The walls are covered with gold and gemstones.
You almost feel like you are in the bottom of the sea and you see all the colorful corals and the fish in the sea,
The fish in the pool are colorful.
They are big and small,
Yellow,
Blue,
Red and green.
They are striped and have dots.
They are being fed every day by the keepers of the palace,
The servants of the goddess.
You step into the pool and begin to swim towards the statue of the goddess.
With each stroke you feel yourself becoming more pure,
More alive and you feel more beloved,
More spiritual and you feel like you know yourself.
Atarkattis is the goddess of love.
She was a divine being,
Her parents were celestial and yet she fell in love with a human.
The love story had tragic consequences,
But nevertheless she did fell in love and she tried to drown herself.
The sea felt pity on her and saw how beautiful she was and turned her into a mermaid.
This made her the personification of the water,
Fresh water that dwells deep underneath the earth,
In all those little rivers underground,
Which rise above to give life to us.
She is the air in the clouds that bring the rain,
Which sustains the cycle of life and transforms everything.
You have reached the end of the pool and sit in front of the statue of Atarkattis.
She is a beautiful woman with long hair and a tail filled with scales and seashells.
In her hands sits a dove,
Her sacred bird.
You can feel a warm breeze drying your clothes and your hair.
The spirit of Atarkattis is always near those who seek her.
Atarkattis is an unusual mermaid,
She is linked to a winged animal,
The dove.
In animal symbolism,
The dove represents higher knowledge,
Purity and innocence.
In some versions of the myth,
Atarkattis was hatched from an egg that fell from the skies to the Euphrates river.
A dove found the egg and incubated the goddess.
The maternal love that Atarkattis feels for all living beings is also the love for the dove,
Her surrogate mother.
Here in the palace,
In this moment,
You can pray for Atarkattis.
What would you say to her?
Our greatest gift is that we can always learn new things.
Atarkattis is the goddess of wisdom,
She is the goddess of knowledge and the goddess of empathy.
Sometimes when the world puts us down,
It is difficult to feel empathy.
It is when we are merciful to ourselves,
When we feel love and empathy for ourselves,
Then it is easier to love other people,
And to love the world and to embrace the entire universe.
Perhaps you can feel a light touch of feather,
Atarkattis is an angelic mermaid,
A goddess of high level of spirituality.
Take these messages and memories with you,
Embrace the love of the sea,
Embrace the cycle of harvest,
Embrace the love of the people and embrace the love of the universe.
You can slowly return back to this reality.
You can stretch your feet and your hands,
Your fingers and you can open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me on this sacred meditation.
Namaste.
