We're at day 22 fellow meditators.
This is our final day together.
Congratulations.
As entrepreneur Jim Rohn said,
Motivation is what gets you started.
Meditation is what keeps you going.
Success is created and sustained by our habits.
And as we've already discovered,
The ultimate keystone habit is meditation.
This is especially true when we are seeking to overcome negative patterns and addictive behaviors.
Meditation is the ultimate keystone habit when we desire freedom from our addictions because it produces a number of positive outcomes in our lives and leads to the development of multiple good habits.
All of which can lessen our chances of engaging in a negative habit or addictive behavior that has undesirable side effects.
With that being said though,
The question now becomes how do we sustain our meditation practice as well as the other habits in our lives we need to be joyful,
Whole,
And triumphant?
Well,
That's exactly what today's meditation is about.
Today is day 22 of our meditation series and we didn't stop at the usual 21 days that it is commonly said that it takes to incorporate a new habit into our lives.
Because by offering you another day of the series,
We are encouraging you to continue this new habit for a lifetime.
We actually believe that today is the most important day of the series because we are helping you get started on the most pivotal stage of continuing this habit long term.
The reality is it does take 21 days to form a new habit,
But by continuing a habit for 30 days,
The habit starts to become something more than we are trying to do and instead it becomes a part of who we are.
With that being said,
We are offering you another day of the series to hopefully encourage you to continue with this habit for 30 days to ensure it becomes a transformational tool you use for a lifetime.
It is too often after 21 days of a new habit we want to reward ourselves and take a break.
The problem is that if we don't continue the habit for 30 days,
We won't positively enhance the habit through our enjoyment from it that comes after the wall of the first 21 challenging days.
Today in our final day together,
Our hope is to motivate you to continue meditating like you have learned with a mantra for 30 days instead of stopping at 21 days.
This is because it is during these final days of engaging in this transformational practice that you will begin to get over the hump and see and feel results and start loving your new habit and this will then become the reason you continue this practice that can aid you in freedom from addiction for a lifetime.
Now let's prepare to meditate.
Begin by finding a comfortable seat enclosing your eyes.
Now begin to become aware of your breath,
Not focusing or concentrating.
Just simply watch the breath as it naturally flows in and out.
Now easily and effortlessly begin silently repeating today's mantra,
Sito hum,
Sito hum,
Sito hum.
Continue to repeat the mantra,
Sito hum,
And whenever you notice yourself distracted by thoughts,
Noises,
Or physical sensations,
Simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra,
Sito hum,
Sito hum,
Sito hum.
Please continue with your meditation.
I will watch the time and when it is time to end our meditation,
You will hear me ring a soft chime.
When you hear the chime,
Stop repeating the mantra and continue sitting quietly with your eyes closed.
Enjoy your meditation.
It is time to release silently repeating today's mantra and continue sitting quietly with your eyes closed.
Now begin to bring some slight movement into your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
Whenever it feels comfortable,
Slowly open your eyes.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and I thank you for allowing me to share this practice that has transformed my own life with you.
Namaste.
