So the 14th we have this first chapter.
Master is talking all about what is real self,
What are the characteristics of the real self.
And in every verse he gives some idea about the practice.
Welcome,
This is where.
So in the 14th verse,
After 20th verse,
You have to wait in the second chapter,
The seeker,
What kind of a seeker you should be.
That is explained.
So seeker narrates his experiences after listening and understanding these 20 verses.
Deha bhimaan paashena Beautiful cheeram badhoo seepatrakaha Boodhoo ham jnana khaggeena Tanni kratyaa sukhibhava Deha bhimaan paashena Cheeram badhoo seepatrakaha If I translate in a very literal English,
So the master says,
My child,
You have long been caught in the noose of body consciousness.
Severe it with the sword of knowledge.
So he uses an adjective for the knowledge,
It is a sword.
I am consciousness and be happy.
So let us understand this.
Deha bhimaan paashena cheeram badhoo seepatrakaha So let us start with the location.
You are in front of me,
Isn't it?
And I'm in front of you.
How do you conclude that?
Because I am the body.

They are on the right and left side of each of them.
Do you see that?
Why?
How do you conclude that?
Because I am the body.
See that?

How do I know?
Because with reference to that I am the body.
Just understand in a very simple way.
I am sitting here,
So I can say I am facing northwest.
With reference to I am the body.
I am under the roof with reference to the body.
So the master says what he says,
Deha bhimaan paashena,
Deha abhimaan.
Because I have a wrong notion that I am the body.
I have a pride that I am the body.
Which is not true.
When I ask,
Where are you?
I am sitting here with reference to the body.
You should think of it again and again.
Contemplate and reflect.
Now look at the space.
What did you say?
I am in front of you.
With reference to the space.
I am on the right side of you.
I am on the left side of you.
And this left and right in all these direction changes.
With reference to the body.
Is there any right side,
Left side,
East,
West,
North and south of the space?
It is imagined.
If it is imagined,
Then this is also imagined that I am the body.
This is the meaning of the first line.
Deha abhimaan paashena,
Chiram badhursi matra kaha.
My child,
Because with reference to the body.
My mind with the wrong notion that I exist is the greatest ignorance.
You are pure consciousness.
This is what Master says.
Bodho ham.
So how to get rid of this wrong notion?
That I am the body?
By a sword of knowledge,
Wisdom,
By contemplation and reflection,
Followed by the practice.
So I should reflect again and again what it means when I say I am sitting here.
I am saying with reference to the body.
Now understand with reference to the time,
What is my life?
Let us take up one more thing,
Space.
Do I know the beginning of a space?
Do I know the end of the space?
No.
How can I know what is in between the space?
What is good?
It is hammering on the ignorance of my mind.
When I do not know the beginning of a space,
When I do not know the end of the space,
How do I know what is in between the space?
So the reference that I am on the right and the left,
I am in the east and the west,
Has no value at all.
See another point.
I see where I sit in this room.
A couple of people have seen my office.
So maybe I am 500 times smaller than this room.
If this body is a box and you put all these boxes,
500 times smaller than this room,
As compared to the house,
I may be 10,
000 smaller.
With reference to the town of Gilbert,
I may be like a dust particle with reference to the country.
I don't exist.
Why the mind says I do not exist with reference to the body.
See that.
With reference to the entire solar system and the galaxies,
I am totally insignificant with reference to the body.
Are you getting it?
It is very clear.
It's a fact and it's a truth.
Now look at with reference to the time.
Time.
We live for 100 years,
150 years,
As compared to billions of years that have passed before.
And the billions of years are waiting.
What is this 100 and 150 years in this infinite time?
Do I know the beginning of a time?
Do I know the end of a time?
When I do not know the beginning and the end of a time,
Then how can I measure what is in between the time?
So now our master,
There are five or six different ways to explain the time and the space.
But yoga,
Specifically yoga sutra,
The Patanjali,
And our master says that,
What it says,
That the space and the time is one thought in the mind,
One modification of the mind.
Nothing else.
There's space and the time.
The way I say I am here,
The same way I create a time and the space in the mind by referencing right and the left,
By referencing I am five or ten years old,
And it does not exist.
Because they exist because I am the body.
I have to drop this notion,
Wrong notion,
That I am the body.
So when you drop this wrong notion,
I am the body,
It takes you,
I am the pure consciousness.
Can I see?
Just think of it.
Can I see that this body is like goggles by which we see this world?
So if the goggles has a green color,
I see the word green.
So first I say I am the body,
Then I say I am Girish,
Then I say I am the teacher,
Then I say I am the mentor,
Then I say you all are students with reference to the body.
So we never inquire,
Am I the body?
The Master is saying,
Deha Viman,
It's a beautiful verse,
Deha Viman,
Pashin Achiram,
Pashin,
Pashin means I am imprisoned.
I live in ignorance with an idea,
With a notion that I am the body.
Once we drop this notion that I am the body,
What is revealed?
That I am the pure consciousness beyond time and the space.
Then the process he says,
What process?
Goham jnanakad again,
Jnanakad again,
Knowledge.
So he uses the word,
The sword of knowledge,
The sword by which we cut,
Big knife.
Used in the,
Used in the army in ancient days to defeat the enemy.
So now he is pointing out the moment we are aware,
The moment the mind goes to the body,
The moment the mind says I am the body,
Use that sword of knowledge.
Challenge the mind,
Am I the body?
Contemplate and reflect,
Sword of knowledge.
I have to cut this ignorance,
Sword of knowledge.
And the moment we cut it,
In this very moment,
We bypass the pleasure seeking mind.
The pleasure seeking mind must live in the space and the time.
And the meditator lives beyond time.
Another master speaks in a different tone and that too is very important to understand.
When I say I am the body,
Means I am the consciousness,
Means body is consciousness,
Ask yourself is body consciousness or matter?
Is body inert or conscious?
So the definition of inert,
Dead matter means like the smartphone.
The phone does not know itself and it cannot know anyone else.
I know my right hand,
Right hand never says I also knows you know you.
Come on,
This is body.
So when the body is inert matter,
When the body is already a dead matter,
How I can be body?
When I live in that awareness,
I am already in meditation.
I am already in meditation.
So when we contemplate and reflect with the knowledge that takes place in the intellect,
Then I awaken myself that I am the pure consciousness and then leave the rest the moment.
We discover that I am the consciousness,
Then peace and happiness,
Love and the wisdom enters naturally because it is natural to the consciousness.
But why it doesn't happen?
Next question,
Why it doesn't happen?
Because we are not prepared,
We are not seeker.
The knowledge must be translated into action,
Into behaviour,
Into attitude.
You see,
You have seen that a lot of people say,
No,
I understood,
No problem.
I understood.
So here I am taking you to another direction that what we are doing on Mondays and Thursday.
Two things are there.
One is knowledge.
I have,
You speak,
I understand it.
As long as I am with you,
Many people tell me,
As long as I am with you.
But the moment after a few hours,
My mind starts behaving the same old ways.
Knowledge takes place in the intellect.
It is translated into behaviour,
Attitude by action.
That action is known as practice.
Sense organs,
Sense organs,
Senses of knowledge.
Motor organs,
Senses for action,
Behaviour,
Attitude.
So in that senses of behaviour and attitude,
All those impressions are accumulated in the mind as impressions.
That does not allow,
That do not allow us to live with that knowledge.
Hence,
The practice is required.
You know,
Almost every majority of the ancient countries,
We have the story of lovers.
Romeo,
Juliet,
Right?
And we have in India,
Who is that?
Lela and Majnu.
So Lela is a girl and Majnu is a lover.
And this Majnu,
The boy was obsessed,
In love with this girl.
So the king found that this girl is so ugly and how come this boy is so much obsessed with this girl?
So king called Majnu and said that I will find you a beautiful girl so that you can marry.
Why you are chasing?
She is not interested.
Majnu said,
You have to see that girl through my eyes.
Then only you will understand what is love.
Why I told you this story?
I always say that I want to see everything through this body.
Then only I understand.
And that is the greatest ignorance,
Wrong notion.
Because I am attached to this body.
Why I am attached to this body?
Because I give value to the body.
When I give value to the body,
It creates likes and dislikes.
Likes creates attachment,
Attachment creates delusion,
Delusion creates doer and enjoyer.
And I fall trap into this ignorance.
That is why the master says,
Sword of knowledge.
First step is understanding,
Contemplation and reflection,
Becoming aware.
Am I really the body?
Challenging the old notion created in the mind.
When the mind is clear,
Then follow the practice and you will find the result.
So let us start our journey,
Practice,
Close your eyes.
Close your eyes.
Close your eyes gently.
Look at the same body with awareness and the knowledge that I have to transcend this body.
I have to drop this wrong notion that I am the body by the practice.
And this practice is almost a knowledge practice where we do nothing.
And still we do something by friends.
So looking at the body from the top to the bottom,
Awareness of the body,
The body cannot be aware of me.
You see that if that is possible,
Then you can direct the body,
Body are you listening to me?
Yes.
Body will say yes and then the body will.
.
.
Then you say,
Okay,
Don't move.
Promise me that you will not move and the body will not move.
But what happens?
You already know it.
Body is not a conscious entity.
I am the consciousness.
That is why I am saying look at the body.
Look at the awareness of the body,
Experience the steadiness in the body and then looking deep inside the heart.
My friends,
We are not doing anything.
Be very clear.
It's all about the knowledge.
It's all about awareness.
Also looking inside the head in the space,
We have to remove the ignorance in the mind.
So in that space become aware of a point in the space.
Point in the space.
Did I explain you that point in the space?
We are not even a point as compared to the space outside,
Infinite space.
This body as I am the body notion does not stand anywhere.
Now you see that is why I gave you the first step,
Looking at a point in the space.
Then look at the neck joint.
Looking means feeling,
Being aware,
Sensation,
Knowing and experience sensation,
Being comfortable and steadiness.
Did I guide you any step to induce sensation,
Comfort and steadiness?
No.
I simply say look at the shoulder joints.
Why I am stressing this point?
In this Saturday's meditation,
In this journey,
The mind from somewhere will return and will say I am not able to do the practice.
We are not doing any practice.
We are not forcing.
You are looking at the shoulder joints,
You are simply looking,
Aware,
Feeling,
Being there and experience sensation,
Being comfortable and steadiness.
The joint feeling,
Aware,
Sensation,
Comfortable and steadiness.
Do you see?
Every word is a part of knowledge,
Not a part of action.
How simple it is.
The entire body,
Looking at all the joints,
Feeling,
Aware,
Sensation,
All are part of the knowledge.
Sensation,
Being comfortable and steadiness.
Being carefree.
Looking inside the head.
You see,
We still have a very subtler layer of ignorance.
What is that?
When I say look inside,
Means what?
References because I am the body,
I am looking inside.
When the thoughts and the feelings,
Sensation appears in the mind,
Just see.
Whether you are the thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensation,
No.
So see them separate from you.
That is how I explain this separation,
The birds flying in the sky.
See this?
So sky is there independent,
Not affected by the birds quantity,
Quality of flying,
Thoughts,
Good,
Bad,
High,
Low.
The mental space is there that is independent of its content.
When the mind wears goggles,
Then it sees that every thought feeling is me and mine.
What is that goggle?
That is a goggle of ignorance.
Wrong notion.
Habit.
Impulsive mind.
Habitual mind.
I am not guiding you coming from heaven.
I am guiding you with the simple words which your intellect can easily understand.
In that state of being carefree,
We again look at the head and the neck.
Just look.
I mean to say when I say look means you are aware,
You feel,
You know.
So looking at the head and the neck,
Being there.
So when the mind does not continue to be there because of the impurity,
Because we are yet to become a seeker,
You see?
And being there,
Wear on the head and the neck and move the mind at a subtler level.
Sensation,
Relaxation and stillness.
Look at the right arm.
Look.
Feeling.
Being there.
An experience sensation,
Relaxation and stillness.
Another point of understanding.
Sensation,
Relaxation and stillness are all in the body.
It is not off the body.
If it is off the body,
Then we have two consciousness.
Then we have two I inside.
Which is not true.
See that?
Become aware.
Left arm being there.
Feeling.
Sensation.
Relaxation and stillness in the body.
Be very clear in the knowledge.
That is why very clear sharpness.
Not with the thinking,
In the field of awareness.
That sharpness the master is saying,
Sword of knowledge.
Who carried the sword?
Who is brave?
What is the meaning of brave here?
Who is 100% aware and there is a natural focus?
Become aware of the middle portion of the body.
From the shoulder to the waist.
The entire rib cage,
The spine and the belly.
Sword of knowledge,
Awareness,
Intense.
Looking at the middle portion of the body.
And then experiencing sensation,
Relaxation and stillness in the body.
Not off the body.
In the body means independent of the body.
Quality of consciousness.
Does your phone says I am relaxed,
No worries?
Not conscious.
So we are not the body.
Right leg,
Awareness,
Feeling,
Looking there.
Can the body look at me?
No.
Can I look at the body?
Yes.
Minus,
I am not the body.
And experiencing sensation,
Relaxation and stillness in the body.
We aren't doing anything,
My friends.
Left leg,
Consciousness cannot be divided.
That very I inside cannot be divided.
Can I maintain that awareness?
Whatever is divided cannot be me.
And I have already been dividing this body into major parts.
Can I maintain awareness of that?
Looking at the left leg,
Being there,
Feeling sensation,
Relaxation and stillness.
The entire body from the top to the toes.
Consciousness stays there in the body.
We say I am the body.
It leaves the body.
We also leave it.
That is why when a person dies we say he has left.
Come on,
His body is here.
Okay,
His body is here but he has left.
Meditation is to know that reality even when we do not leave the body.
So entire body,
Look,
Feel,
Sensation.
Relaxation and stillness.
I am and the world outside.
The room,
The items in the room,
The people around you become aware of the room and the items in the room.
Who becomes aware?
I am.
When I am the body then I say this is my room,
These are my gadgets at the physical level.
So I am and the world outside.
Now say I am and I am the body.
I am.
I am is only awareness.
I am not using the mind for going little deeper.
I am one,
I am the body second.
So this I am the body is the mind with the wrong notion of the space and the time claims I am the body.
But still I am different from the notion I am the body.
You may say inside I am good.
Where is I am in space and time?
Everywhere.
Who blocks this notion that I am not everywhere?
I am the body.
I'm not saying you to do anything.
I'm saying you to know,
Aware.
This is what the master is saying.
Gyan kadge na sword of knowledge.
You know you might have heard from me fire of knowledge.
That's how our masters inspires.
Now go a little deeper,
So called deeper.
I am and the breath.
So I am is everywhere.
Looking at the breath going in and out.
Keep looking at the breath for a minute.
I am and I am looking at my breath.
So I am looking at my breath is the mind with reference to the body.
If there is nobody,
How can it be my breath?
We are making the mind subtle.
Why?
Sword of knowledge.
I am and I am the breath.
Aren't they two separate,
Different?
So with that sword of knowledge,
That wrong notion that I am the breath drops.
Let us go a little deeper than the breath.
I am and thoughts,
Feeling,
Sensation,
Images appear,
Disappear,
Where?
In the mind.
So can I say I am and I am the mind.
When we see them separate clearly.
Seeing means awareness.
Seeing means knowledge.
I am.
And I am the mind with the thoughts and the feeling and the sensation.
I recognize the mind only when I create a wrong notion that I am the body.
I am the body first,
Then I have a mind.
Then I have the thoughts.
How beautiful.
We need to simply know.
Go deeper.
The mind cannot see behind and beyond itself.
So I am and nothingness.
I am and nothingness.
Why nothingness?
The mind cannot reach there.
Oh,
It was the mind that was causing an ignorance and a wrong notion that I am the body,
I am the mind,
I am the thoughts.
The answer is yes.
The master is saying,
Gyanakadageena,
Sword of knowledge.
Knowledge is like a sword.
What is that knowledge?
I am consciousness.
So from the sword of knowledge,
I killed the wrong notion that I am the body.
What is left?
I am the consciousness.
And then what happens?
I experience and I awaken to that I am the peace,
I am the happiness,
I am the love,
I am the wisdom.
All I am and nothing is.
So I am and nothing is for anything.

The mind returns,
Gives you a feeling.
What feeling?
First feeling it gives,
I am the body,
Then I have the mind,
Then I have the thoughts,
Then I have the feeling and experience.
What should I do?
Do nothing in a sense,
Just look inside and behind,
Behind the mind.
What is behind the mind?
We have already gone there.
See that?

Do nothing,
Remain in that state of doing nothing.

The teaching of this master is totally unparalleled.
I am pure consciousness.
