In the second chapter,
Now we are approaching that how to have a steady intellect,
The intellect that is steady.
Why it is steady?
Because it has a knowledge,
The right knowledge,

Free from preferences,
Free from likes,
Free from dislikes.

That knowledge will take me to the journey of permanent peace and happiness.
Love,
Truth and wisdom.
And ultimately it will help me discover what is my real self.
And once I discover that,
It is irreversible process.
It is irreversible.
I believe you understand what is not,
Cannot be reversed.
Means once the intellect is awakened to that state of consciousness,
It cannot be reversed.

Ultimate security,
Permanent peace,
Happiness.

You should be very open in asking questions so that we will understand the nature of your mind.
The teacher understands the nature of your mind and then the journey begins.
We don't ask.

Seeker is focused.

Steady intellect and you see this,
The man by understanding only.
Don't go for practicing asanas,
Headstand pose and pranayama,

Master sings steady intellect by simply understanding settled in your intellect.
So now the seeker is asking the question.

The four questions are there by the seeker.
You can divide them into two major categories.
First question,
Describe to me the sthita prajna,
The steady wisdom that will ultimately help me to live into the highest meditative state.
That is samadhi.
Sthita prajna is a kabha sha samadhi sthasya keshava,
Keshava means Krishna,

Are you focused on that?

Third and fourth.
How does that seeker speak?
Or you can say when he is talking,

We avoid gossiping.

How does he sit?
How does he live?
What is his lifestyle?

How does he sit?
How does he walk?
So I will focus on these four questions first before we answer next week.

But if these questions do not come to your mind,

Intellect and ego,

Eastern wisdom is an instrument of knowledge that helps me to discover my real nature.
Do you understand that point?
Mother,
Who is the mother?
Eastern wisdom.
What is Eastern wisdom?
Yoga,
Tantra,
Meditation,
Et cetera,
Et cetera.
What is that mother?
Is the full of knowledge.
That knowledge should be planted,
Understood,
Supported into the intellect.
So Eastern wisdom as a mother is always ready to descend and put that knowledge into the intellect.
Intellect is the son.
So who is the father?
Existence.
What is that existence?
The condition in which I'm living,
The relations that I have,
The money and the resources I have is a perfect situation,
Condition,
People given to me by the existence to evolve,
To accelerate my evolution,
To find my real self.
Did you understand this point from the intellect?
Tell me.
Then only we can start with the steady wisdom.
So mother is the knowledge that teaches the intellect.
In the presence of the father that is existence.
What is the book of knowledge?
Gita.
So we normally say Gita is a feminine word is our mother.
And mother is always ready for the son.
And the son is the intellect.
But without accepting clearly the situation,
Condition,
The birth,
The time and the place,
The gender,
Everything,
I don't have a choice.
It comes from the existence.
So existence has given me the most favorable condition.
My intellect should have a level of acceptance before I begin the journey of yoga.
Sometime I tell people,
Those people come with me,
Lot of problems and anxiety.
I said,
You have that anxiety because you have approached me or you have approached a person who knows the Eastern wisdom to help you transcend the suffering.
You are lucky.
You are thinking in that way.
Clear?
Clear.
So let us go a little deeper.

Tit ragnasya ka bhasha.

Leave worrying about birth into death.

There are normally six obstacles in developing our intellect or wisdom.
Now coming to the main topic.
What is the natural result?
As long as we are craving something with force,
Means anxiety,
Depression are the results.
When I want something from the world outside,
Anxiety,
Depression are the natural result.
That prevents my intellect to grow.
They are the basic foundation.
We are going to develop the steady intellect later.
Then we enter into a deeper,
Higher yoga.
Are you understanding?
Mind leaves understanding of what is right and good in anxiety.
It leaves what is just and unjust.
Then we start applying the corrupt means,
Unfair means.
So what does it means?
I have to drop the binding desire of the world.
What will happen?
The intellect will be settled.
First obstacle,
Are you understanding?
Oh,
Today in yoga also,
We were talking of obstacles.
Did you understand that point?
I am lying down,

You have 90% of the time in the intellect to focus on the real self.

Whether you are living your personal life or a professional life,
Think of it.

That ego and real self both can be reflected in this intellect.
If the intellect is not clear,

The real self cannot be approached.
You see how near we have come to the real self?
Understand in a different way,
Sun is the real self,
Moon is my ego.
So both are living in the intellect.
Did you get it?
Now you have only to know and understand if it is coming from my ego,
The false I,
Or the real I.
Are you getting it?
If it is coming from the real I,
You are always in peace and happiness.
Coming from the false I,
Where they are located in the intellect,
The house has to be clean.
House means intellect has to be clean.
Likes,
Dislikes,
Ego,
No contentment,
Ego,
False I.
The false I merges with the intellect.
It says you are 100% wrong,

I will prove that you are wrong.
It is not the job of real self.
Now when I have that knowledge in the mind,
What will it say?

Unless you are ready to know.

You don't prove how other is wrong,
That is IQ.
Do you see that?
It takes time.
It will not happen in a day.
If you start the journey,

And you will have many challenges in the time comes.

Intellect.
Intellect is one of the most important factor to find out our essential nature.
If it is the same intellect,
Which is responsible for the fantastic and remarkable discoveries coming from the science in the last 200 years,
It is the same intellect.
Do you think that all these 3000 texts have been written with a blind belief?
Those geniuses have written those texts.
Look at the Patanjali.
That intellect must get rid of these six obstacles.
So when we remove all those six obstacles,
That makes you a seeker.
And when you are a seeker,
Who is the seeker?
Obviously,
It is the intellect.
And the mother is Gita.
What is Gita?
Knowledge.
Who is the father?
Existence.
So what the father is giving,
Father gave me a pain,
Unfavorable circumstances.
Why?
Go to the mother,
Find the solution,
Right solution that helps you to raise your level of awareness.
Did you get it?
This is what all yoga is.
But if I dream,
I want to live in a world beyond all the suffering,
No unfavorable circumstances,
Then you are not practicing yoga.
Utopia,

We evolve only when we have the challenges in our life.
