Welcome to Life,

Lessons and Laughter with your host,

Glenn Andros.

Hello,

Everybody.

Welcome to a special holiday episode,

Even though it has nothing to do with that.

Excuse me.

So how's it going,

Everybody?

Hello,

Hello.

Comments say hello.

Let me know about this new camera.

It looks sharper than my old one to me,

But I'm wondering if it looks sharper to you guys.

Because I actually paid for a nice camera that I used to use.

And then this one came on my computer and I'm like,

I think this one's better.

So so yeah,

Say hello.

Let me know how you're doing where you are.

As we wait for people to join us.

It does look sharper.

All right.

Thank you.

Yeah,

I thought so too.

I mean,

This is my newer computer.

So when I had my older computer,

I bought a camera specifically,

You know,

Because the camera wasn't that good.

But now I just hopped on this.

And I'm like,

Man,

I think this one's even better than the one I paid for.

So yeah,

Kudos to Apple.

You know,

I guess me making a move over to Apple might have been a good thing.

The camera seems better.

So hey there,

April.

So we get serenity.

We have April.

All right,

So you know,

I was I had nothing planned a half an hour ago.

And then I sat down and really what came up was what's been coming up.

It's been coming up for a while now.

But it's been getting,

It's kind of starting to show itself in more ways now.

More practical ways.

So I think,

So yeah,

It popped right in as soon as they started debating topics.

So I'm going to go with this one.

And really,

It's about grounding.

But it's not about grounding in the same way that we usually talk about grounding.

I mean,

You know,

There'll be some similarities,

But but there's some some more information that's coming in that's making it clearer.

How to do it and why it's important and all that stuff.

So it kind of coincides with with what's happening in the spiritual shift right now,

Like what we're being called to do is really anchor into our spirituality deeper,

Really live our spirituality more,

Not just dabble around with it and play with it,

But actually stand in it as a completely new way of being.

I mean,

I've been living this way for 18 years to the best of my ability.

And of course,

In the beginning,

While in the beginning,

I took off,

I was kind of flying all over the place,

I almost couldn't talk about anything other than spirituality.

And then,

But,

But then,

You know,

There's an aspect of when you're when you're waking up spiritually,

There's an integration process that happens into your regular life.

And sometimes,

Sometimes is kind of like there's two of us,

You know,

There's a spiritual self that's all excited and finding,

Finding meaning and new perspectives.

And it's very exciting,

But then we don't know how to bring that into our,

Our normal life,

You know,

We're,

Especially with co workers and family and stuff like that.

So that sometimes will kind of act like there's,

There's two of us.

And then over time,

We start integrating it a little bit more and a little bit more and getting more comfortable with it.

And then,

You know,

Usually where where there's,

I mean,

We still play roles.

I mean,

We're always gonna play roles.

You know,

When I'm talking to my son,

I mean,

It's less now that he's an adult,

But when I'm talking to my son,

It's more from a fatherly perspective,

You know,

When I'm with a woman in a romantic situation,

Then that's,

You know,

That's,

That's a completely different situation than if I were talking to him or talking to my family or talking to one of my friends.

So we're all going to play different roles dependent on the situation we're in at that present moment.

But we can integrate our spirituality into it.

So it's kind of like,

We're,

We're basically a spiritual being having a human experience.

And we're playing these roles,

And there's an aspect of our spirituality in each one of these roles.

So it's not so separated,

You know.

So,

You know,

That's what I've seen,

You know,

I went through it,

I've seen many people go through it.

But now it seems like we're taking this deeper.

And you know,

I've been saying for a long time now for a couple of years that it's really about anchoring into our spirituality and standing in it.

And this is a,

This is a version of that.

So the grounding that I'm talking about is,

Is anchoring into,

Hey,

Sarah,

The grounding that I'm talking about is,

Is kind of the best way to describe it is,

Is getting back into our bodies.

Because if we're thinking about,

You know,

For clarity sake,

I'll compare it to other options,

Right?

So,

So like,

When we're out dealing with normal life,

Like societal life,

You know,

Work,

If it's not,

If it's not in a spiritual arenas,

Usually paying bills,

Running errands,

Just everyday normal life.

And the unconsciousness of society is a good reflection of this,

That we're very much in our heads,

It's all mental,

It's all intellectual and mental.

And it's just,

You know,

We're caught up in there,

And there's a speed to it,

And it's going too fast.

And,

You know,

So I think most of us are aware of that.

So it's like,

You know,

That's not what we want,

You know.

So like I said,

I'm giving you the the other options.

So like this Buddhist teachings do this a lot.

And with good reason,

Because sometimes when you see what something isn't,

Then you can see what it is,

You know,

Like Taoism does it too.

It's,

You know,

They talk about the,

The Tao is is the path or the way.

It also can be interpreted as the Tao is God,

Or spirit.

But so when when they talk about the Tao,

They say,

If you can name it,

That is not it,

You know,

And Buddhist,

Like I said,

Buddhism does that a lot too.

So I'm kind of borrowing a little bit from that mentality and going,

Okay,

We're caught in our heads.

And it's very intellectual.

That's not it.

Okay,

And then even when we even when we really get connected spiritually,

Like if we go,

I mean,

We can do it ourselves in like a deep meditation,

Or if we go to a sound bowl healing or a drum circle or medicine retreat,

Or,

You know,

Lots of different spiritual things.

What's their purpose?

It's really to connect us spiritually.

Right.

So that is oftentimes and I'm not,

That is oftentimes too airy,

It's too out there.

And I'm not saying it's too out there in a way that like,

You shouldn't do it.

I'm saying that that's not the end game.

That's why it's too out there.

It's just,

You know,

It's wonderful to bring that stuff.

But if there's one thing that people in the spiritual circles do too much of,

Or don't do enough of,

Excuse me,

Don't do enough of,

Is its integration.

You know,

So a lot of times these people will go to all,

You know,

These events and do all these things,

Which are very wonderful,

And you can get amazing information from them,

You can connect very deeply through them and all this stuff.

It's all this wonderful,

But then,

But then when they come back,

They kind of never integrate it into their bodies,

They never integrate it into their human experience,

You know,

And that's,

If somebody does make a mistake in those things,

That's usually the mistake.

You know,

Not all people make that mistake.

Some people go experience these things and then integrate it afterwards very well,

And that's what we should be doing.

So,

But the spirituality,

Spiritually,

If we're going to make a mistake,

It's when we get too far out there,

Or if we get out there,

And then we come back to reality and we don't integrate it.

Right?

So this is,

That's,

You know,

That's what we can be doing wrong,

Spiritually speaking,

And then in societal speaking,

We get too caught up in our heads.

So we have the airy,

You know,

Spiritual,

And then we have the intellectual heads,

But the body,

If we come back into the body,

You know,

That's where we can really anchor in,

That's where we can ground,

That's where we can find stability,

You know,

And that is what we're trying to do.

So,

You know,

This whole spiritual,

You know,

Why are we waking up spiritually?

What does that look like?

It's integration.

It's integrating the spirituality into our human experience,

You know,

And we can do that.

We have to stay anchored into our human existence to do that.

We can't be lost in our heads,

And we can't be floating around the clouds,

Dancing around with spirits,

Like neither one of those are it,

Because one is too societal,

It's too earthly and dysfunctional and whacked,

And it doesn't do anything for us,

And then the other one is too spiritual.

We're not,

Like this spiritual shift is not for us to float around above a pillow all day,

Like that's not the point of it.

How does that help society?

How does that save the world?

How does that create a new way of being if everybody's just sitting there,

Oh,

Oh,

All day,

Like that,

You know,

That doesn't change the world.

I mean,

It's helpful from a vibrational frequency perspective,

But the point of this is to integrate our spirituality into our humanness,

And we need to stay grounded in order to be able to do that,

And this is,

You know,

Specifically what I've been being,

You know,

Given more information on lately.

It's the,

You know,

Using our bodies,

Staying in our bodies,

Getting used to being with inside of our bodies,

Because our head just runs,

And there's too many trap doors in the brain,

You know,

So our,

If we can just anchor into our body,

And then integrate the spirituality that we're learning into our existence here on earth without being like,

All floating around,

You know,

That,

That's how we bring spirituality into our human experience and integrate the two.

We're grounded,

We're aware of our reality,

Everything's cool,

And we're spiritual,

And it's very calm when you talk about that,

You know,

Like,

I mean,

I'm not doing,

When I talk about being too far out there spiritually,

And I go,

Ah,

I'm not doing that to be a wise ass,

I mean,

That's kind of,

That's a representation of what it's like,

Because like,

If you,

If you try to talk to somebody that is too far gone spiritually,

Just in that moment,

I'm not saying for life,

But just,

If somebody happens to be too far gone in that particular moment,

And you try talking to them,

They,

Like,

They can't even focus,

You know,

That,

Like,

If you say anything other than,

I love you,

They're like,

They're bright,

They can't even process it,

Because it's too floaty,

And they're just like,

Oh,

Well I don't know,

You know,

Well,

You know,

There might be some problems in the world,

How are we going to settle those,

Oh,

I don't know,

Everything's love,

It's like,

No,

That,

That's,

That's not it,

That's,

You know,

You're still out there,

You got to come back here,

You have to bring what you found out there into here,

Right,

So,

So this is the grounding that I'm talking about,

And,

And of course everything,

All work is self-work,

You know,

How do we do this,

We do it from within,

Like,

The same way we do everything,

You know,

All work is self-work,

All work is interior,

So the,

You know,

What I've been really doing,

You know,

This has been coming at me in multiple different ways,

But just yesterday I was playing around,

Not only yesterday,

But yesterday was one of the days that I was playing around with this in my own personal experience,

So I went down to Cabaret Day,

Which is a town near the beach,

And it's about a 45-minute drive,

And the energy is very different down there than it is up here in the mountains,

So like,

When that,

When I go down there,

It's harder to stay grounded,

Because it's like,

There's too much,

There's more going on,

You know,

There's more going on,

And the energy is different and stuff,

So it's easier for me to pop into my head,

And I can get irritable sometimes down there,

And stuff,

So like,

I have to spend a little extra energy or a little extra consciousness to make sure that I'm staying grounded while I'm there,

Grounded in what?

Grounded in my spiritual truth,

You know,

Like this is what I mean,

Spirituality doesn't need to be floating around up there,

We can,

We can,

Once we integrate it into our bodies,

It's very calming and anchoring,

And that is what we need to do,

We need to bring our spiritual,

We need to bring love,

We need to bring strength from love,

Stability from love into our bodies,

You know,

Love isn't just,

Oh I love you,

Oh,

You know,

That,

That's an aspect of love,

But love is very strong,

Love is very stable,

Love is very sturdy,

Love is very anchoring,

It's,

It's the strongest energy in the universe,

So like there's no better way to stay grounded and anchored into your existence than through love,

You know,

So it's,

It's not about forgetting your spirituality or disconnecting from your spirituality,

It's the opposite,

It's bringing your spirituality into your body and anchoring into it,

And then you can be strong,

Then when this something happens,

You're anchored into your body,

You're not caught up in your head,

You're not floating off into the sky,

You're anchored into your body,

Stability,

Love,

Firm,

Foundation,

Solid,

So it's just like stuff comes in and it's like,

No,

I'm good,

I'm good,

Oh yeah,

But what about this,

No,

I'm good,

So you see how,

Can you feel that,

How,

How like anchored that is and how solid,

That's,

You can feel it through your whole body,

You know,

Especially in your torso,

It's just like,

It's,

It's almost like you,

Like I'm,

I'm doing it as I'm explaining it,

Of course,

My body is,

Is responding to what I'm explaining and it feels like my torso almost like became made of this very heavy material,

You know,

It's almost like I gained a hundred pounds,

Just my torso and it's just like boom,

Like I feel immovable because I'm anchored and I'm grounded,

I'm rooted into the earth,

Right,

So,

So,

So,

You know,

This is what nature does,

You know,

We can learn from nature,

This is nothing new,

So if you think about a tree,

You know,

How does a tree withstand the storms and the wind,

You know,

It's swaying,

Well,

It has flexibility on top,

Which we,

We need to have some flexibility,

Right,

But its strength comes from the ground,

It comes from its roots that are deep grounded,

This is what we need to do,

We need to ground our bodies into the earth,

Figuratively,

Of course,

You know,

Ground us and solid,

Stable and then we can have the flexibility to,

To go with what happens because it doesn't,

It doesn't matter,

It doesn't matter really what happens on a surfacey level.

So throw some comments out there,

What do you guys think about this as I,

As I look over some notes that I made a few minutes ago?

Yeah,

We're,

We're more in control of everything,

You know,

When we ground,

When we're grounded first we're more in control of our thoughts because that is not the source of,

That's not the,

That's not the thing in control,

You know,

If our brain,

Our intellect,

Our,

If that's what's in control and interacting with,

With reality first,

We can go down rabbit holes,

We can go all over the place with that because we don't really have that much control over our minds,

I mean,

Even people that live consciously,

There's,

You know,

We get sucked into unconsciousness at times too and even if we're not,

I mean,

We can just go down intellectual paths that,

That aren't necessarily bad or anything but we can get lost in our intellect because it's such a large portion of how we're used to interacting with things,

You know,

So,

So then we start thinking that our thoughts are us if we're too identified with our thoughts,

It's like,

Oh well,

You know,

I thought that it must be true,

It's like,

No,

It's just a thought,

You know,

You're not your thoughts and you're not your emotions and that's the other thing that this helps us with,

If you're grounded in your body,

Then emotions can come up like they,

You can feel,

You can still feel emotions but they don't knock you all over the place,

If you're grounded,

You'd be like,

Oh,

I'm feeling sad,

I'm still solid,

I'm still okay but there's this emotion of sadness that's kind of,

I'm experiencing at the moment,

Okay,

You know,

Which is fine,

You can experience that,

You can look into it,

See why it's there,

You can see if you want to reframe something so it doesn't make you sad anymore,

You know,

We,

Well,

I'm not going to go into this but I'm just going to say it briefly,

You know,

That's something that a lot of people don't know they can do is reframe things like it's,

You know,

So many times people like,

Well,

You know,

I'm going to do something in the future and that's going to be sad,

It's like,

Well,

Like I would never do something in the future that I thought was going to make me sad,

You know,

But I'm not at a whim of what society told me is going to make me sad,

You know,

Which a lot of people are,

So without the consciousness of that and it's the same thing with anger or it's going to be difficult or anything,

These things that we tell ourselves,

Oh,

Well,

You know,

Breaking up with this person is going to be difficult,

Well,

Not necessarily,

If it's warranted,

It might go fine,

You know,

I mean,

Will you miss them at times?

Probably,

I mean,

If there was any level of caring for that person,

You probably will,

But it doesn't,

You know,

Like I understand that we're going to experience some things that make us sad and make us mad and make us upset and that are difficult,

Trust me,

Even living the way that I live,

I still experience a lot of that stuff,

You know,

It's not like I'm void of experiencing these emotions,

I just don't tell myself that I have to,

You know,

Like I try to avoid it whenever possible,

So you can reframe things into different perspectives,

But that's a whole other podcast,

Like I said,

I'm not going to go into it too much.

So here we go,

I'm going to look at some comments.

Thanks for sharing that,

It's been such a struggle.

Yeah,

It's,

You know,

It's not always easy,

This is what I mean,

Like what I just said,

It's like hell,

We might as well try to reframe things and figure out how to live happily because even when we do this stuff,

It doesn't mean that our life is going to go easy,

We still go through struggles sometimes,

You know,

But if we grow from them,

Then they're not for nothing.

If we go through struggles and we don't learn anything and we don't grow,

Oh my god,

Well,

You know,

This is unfortunately what a large portion of society is doing because they're unconscious,

Like we just went through two years of COVID,

You know,

And there's still people out there going like,

Oh,

I hope things get back to normal soon.

Oh my god,

You hope things,

You haven't learned a damn thing in two years.

Hope things get back to normal,

I hope they never go back to normal.

Normal was messed up,

Learn,

Grow,

Expand,

Move forward.

Let's see,

Heather,

I've lived most of my life cut off from my body.

I have dissociation problems as well,

Like I'm not even in my head,

I'm in another zone.

Yeah,

So,

You know,

And that's a real thing and this is,

You know,

I think with your situation,

Heather,

It's even more important if that's possible because I don't know,

I won't say more important because it's just as important for all of us to do this,

But so I guess what I would,

I'll reframe this,

Okay,

So what I would rather say is that it's going to be more beneficial to you specifically than other people.

Why?

Because we're growing and we're learning,

Right?

So if we do what we're supposed to do,

Like most people would benefit dramatically from doing this.

Now,

If you've lived cut off from your body and dissociation problems,

Then you're going to benefit even that much more,

You know,

So and by the way,

That,

You know,

That's good insight that you even know that because a lot of people that are cut off from their mind,

Their body,

They don't even know that they are,

You know,

Because it's like you develop that as a defense mechanism,

As a necessity to interact with the world and then it becomes your just way of being,

You know,

So a lot of people that do that don't even know they're doing it.

Like I've had those conversations with people,

You know,

Where like it's so obvious that they're completely outside their body,

They're just completely cut off and you're like,

Oh,

Well,

Yeah,

You know,

You just need a little more practice to get back into your body and they're like,

I'm in my body.

Like,

Oh,

You don't know.

Oh,

Okay.

Then you got to figure out like,

Like at that point,

It's like,

You know,

You're kind of like,

Well,

What I do is I just pause for a moment and I just kind of scan like,

Are they going to be able to follow this?

And if I get a no,

Then I just kind of change the subject or something.

If I get a yes,

Then it's like,

Oh my God,

This is going to really help them.

I'll explain it more.

And that happens in casual settings I'm talking about,

You know,

I mean,

If it's with a client,

It's a completely different story,

But that's always solution based,

You know,

Whether they know if they don't know before the conversation,

They're going to figure it out by the time we're done talking.

So but yeah,

We have to we have to get back into our body and like for I'm going to talk a little bit about what I've been doing but Eckhart Tolle has some good teachings of this.

I've studied so much of his stuff many years ago when I was first starting,

That it all blends together.

So I don't know what's what and where it is,

But it's got to be probably in the power of now.

I think it's in the power of now.

I'm pretty sure that he discusses being in your body then,

You know,

And it's just like you can you can just and so I'll kind of talk about his stuff.

Actually his girlfriend or wife,

I'm not sure what if they're married or what their deal is his partner,

Kim Ang,

She puts up some stuff on this as well.

So it's like some of the things that they teach,

Which are helpful are like just closing your eyes and you guys can do this now.

Just close your eyes for a moment and think about your hands.

So like how do you even know you have hands?

I mean,

If your eyes are closed,

You can't see them,

Right?

So how do you know that you have hands?

And if you pay attention,

What you find out,

Oh,

I'm getting a confirmation bell right here.

Do you hear that,

Guys?

That's my random bell that goes off.

It's going to go off one more time.

That can bring you back into your body,

Too.

I love that.

So so,

Yeah.

How do I know that I have hands?

If your eyes are closed,

If you pay attention,

You can feel them.

You can feel a sensation in your hands.

There's like an aliveness there and a warm energy feeling there.

Right.

So that's your awareness going into your hands.

And then you can work your way up.

Like how do I know that I have forearms?

And upper arms and shoulders.

How do I know that I have a heart?

How do I know that I have a torso?

You know,

Just put your attention into your body.

It's a wonderful way to do this.

And it's also a wonderful way to bring you back into the present moment.

You know,

Tolle talks about that,

You know,

Of course,

The power of now.

So like he uses this as a tool to bring you back to the present moment,

Which it does,

But it also helps you inhabit your body.

You know,

And you can just spend time in your body,

Spend time feeling the sensations.

You know,

Another thing that you can do is do grounding meditations.

These are important,

Especially right now because like the spirit,

With the spiritual shift happening,

The waves of energy that come in are,

I mean,

They're powerful.

And they can knock you around,

You know,

They can knock your emotions around,

They can knock your thoughts around.

The vibration on earth is getting higher.

So like,

It's,

That can be,

Especially for those of us that are sensitive,

It's like,

Oh my God,

Like everything can be heightened.

You know,

Like you're a raw nerve.

Like that,

That's,

We're sensitive beings and we're sensitive to vibrations and higher vibration.

It's like,

Whoa,

Like we can feel that stuff.

Whereas other people that are just,

You know,

Disconnected from any type of spirituality probably aren't feeling that.

Or if they are feeling things that they could get knocked around,

But there'll be completely unconscious that it has anything to do with energy or it's even out of the ordinary.

They'll just blame it on life situations and stuff.

Oh,

Well,

Of course I was crazy.

I got into a car accident.

It's like,

Well,

Not really.

You actually got into the car.

You were crazy before the car accident.

You just kind of forgot that because you're trying to rationalize in an intellectual way,

Why you got all messed up.

So you want a physical action to have caused it because that makes more sense in your mind.

But actually there are like crazy for two days before the car accident,

You know,

But the people that are more spiritual,

You're going,

It's adjustments.

I mean,

You know,

I don't want it to sound bad.

It's a good thing.

It just takes a little adjusting.

That's all.

But when we adjust and we match that vibration,

It's cool.

Like in that,

This is what we need to keep doing.

This is,

It's very important.

This is why we need to stay grounded and integrate,

Grounded and integrate,

Grounded and integrate.

This is what we have to constantly keep doing because the vibration keeps rising and rising and rising,

And we need to keep our feet on the ground.

We can't get tossed all over the place.

I mean,

People literally end up in like mental institutions.

You know,

I mean,

That can happen if you don't stay grounded.

I mean,

You know,

Of course it doesn't happen that often,

But I've seen it happen.

You know,

Like we have to stay grounded and stay in our bodies and integrate the new vibrations and the spirituality and integrate what we're learning into our lives.

So grounding meditations,

You know,

You can Google grounding meditations.

Of course you can go on an insight timer grounding meditations.

So you know,

Some people,

Some of the meditations will do it through nature,

You know,

Kind of picturing yourself grounding.

So all this stuff you can do yourself,

Of course.

So like picturing yourself growing roots down into the earth.

You know,

You can do that yourself in a meditation.

You can picture a picture of the color red because that's your root chakra.

Right.

So we want our root chakra really effective and working well.

So you can you can go in and visualize your your just the color red your root chakra.

And then you can bring in a shape and a triangle a circle a square,

It doesn't matter just bring in a shape and notice the color red that you see.

How sharp is it?

How light is it?

How dark is it?

You know,

Just pay attention to it.

No judgment,

You just pay attention to to the characteristics of the color red that is in that shape.

Right.

And then you can go then let it go.

And you can go through your meditation,

You can either like,

Like,

If I'm going to do something with my chakras,

I'll usually like,

Just envision myself just kind of clearing out anything that's cloudy or,

Or unlike the the sharp,

Bright color that I would want it to be.

And I'll just picture myself just pulling out any anything other than that,

And releasing it transmuting and transmitting it to the highest good.

And then I'll,

I'll,

You know,

I'll do different things,

You know,

It doesn't really matter.

It's all intention based yet,

Like,

You can't do it wrong.

So I'll just like some of the stuff I think I made up when some of that I've heard from other people.

And just,

You know,

Picture it like,

You know,

The chakra spins,

Okay,

Well,

I'm going to make sure I want to set the intention of my chakras spinning in a correct direction.

See,

Like,

I just say that because I forgot what direction it's supposed to be.

It's either clockwise or counterclockwise,

I can't remember.

So I just go,

Hey,

I set the intention that it's spinning in the right direction,

Whatever's in my highest good.

That's my catch all.

You know,

And that my my root chakra is opened to the level that's that's in my highest good at this time in my life.

I say it like that because it's like,

I don't know what,

You know,

I'm not the universe.

I'm not God.

I don't know what's in my highest good.

I don't want to go open wide open my root chakra.

And then all sudden I'm wide open.

And it's like,

And everything that happens is like knocking me all over the place.

No,

Just set whatever's in my highest good set it to that rate.

Thank you.

You know,

And then you know,

You can do this type of stuff,

Or put your awareness inside your body,

Do whatever the hell you want with the intention of strengthening of grounding or rooting or clearing out your root chakra,

Whatever.

And then after your meditation,

Before you stop,

You just bring in the color red again,

Bring in the same shape,

And then look and see and notice it's if it's a different color at the end of the meditation as it was at the beginning,

And it should be,

You know,

Because it's all intention based.

So of course,

It's going to be your own control of your own reality.

So that's stuff you can do to ground.

Also,

You know,

Look up grounding earthing.

The earth is wonderful for this.

You know,

We're getting a lot of rain here for a couple weeks.

And one of my things is to go down to the river.

Like when I lived near the beach,

I could walk the beach all the time in my bare feet.

Wonderful grounding.

Here,

I don't want to walk around in bare feet.

For many reasons,

Fire ants,

Rocks,

Other ants or bugs.

So like,

So I don't walk around barefoot very much here.

So I like going down to the river because then I can jump in the river and I can swim around I can touch the bottom with my feet,

Or my hands or,

You know,

Just the water,

You know,

Even just swimming in natural water is grounding.

You know,

It's touching the earth.

So it's so I can ground doing that and I hadn't been doing it because all the rain because,

You know,

Not only is it really not fun going down there in the rain,

And it's a little bit of a muddy slip when it's raining.

But the other thing is,

Is the rain,

If we get a lot of it,

It will muddy up the rivers.

So now you're jumping into this water that's not beautiful and clear like it usually is.

And all the the sand and the mud get churned up.

So it's like this,

This light brown color,

You know,

Which is really not enjoyable to swim in.

So I didn't do it very much.

And I went down a few days ago,

For the first time in a couple weeks,

And I was like,

Oh,

My God,

I just I hadn't been grounding enough.

You know,

It felt so good to get back in there and just ground.

So so,

You know,

Now I'll also just go out and lean up against a tree,

Put your hands on a tree.

You know,

And just lean there and just talk to the tree.

You know,

You can just be like,

Oh,

Please just release this release negative ions.

And that because I mean,

There actually is science behind the earthing and the grounding aspects and stuff and how it can take inflammation out of your body and all this stuff.

I think I mentioned I mentioned it before.

I must have mentioned it before,

But there's a cool movie.

And I can't think of the name of it.

I never can.

But just Google earthing.

I think it's called the earthing.

But earthing and grounding is basically the same thing.

But I think it's earthing small town in Alaska.

I think that's what I Googled.

And it's like an hour long video or something.

And it's a very interesting explanation of grounding.

And it's a little story of some guy in Alaska that heard about it and tried doing it.

And you got real tons of physical relief from grounding.

So after I watched that movie,

I ended up buying a grounding mat,

Which is wonderful.

You can get a grounding mat.

This is another way.

I didn't know I was going to talk about this.

I have one,

But it's over in storage because I can't use it.

But what it is,

It's a grounding mat with just a cord.

It's just a mat you can put on the floor under your desk or anywhere.

I guess you can even put it under your computer for different reasons that I won't get into with the electric stuff.

But I used to have it underneath my desk.

And whenever I was working,

I would have my bare feet on it.

So I was constantly grounding.

And what it does,

It's almost like a very thin yoga mat.

Not as long.

And that wire or the cable goes to an outlet.

And instead of how outlets have the three prongs.

Well,

It doesn't have the top two.

It just has the bottom one,

Which is the grounding plug.

And it comes with a little tester,

The one that I got.

So you can test your outlet to make sure it's actually grounded.

That's why I'm not using it now is because here in the DR,

I've lived in two places since I've been back and I've had my grounding mat.

None of the outlets are grounded here.

So I can't use it because none of the outlets are grounded.

So I need to just take a metal pole and drive it into the ground outside and then run the cable through the window and connect it to my grounding mat.

That would work.

That's what the guy was doing in Alaska for a while.

But it's this grounding and there's a whole science to it with the moon and negative ions and all this stuff and how it really helps our body in a physical way reduce inflammation and all this stuff.

So there's many benefits to it.

But it's also from a spiritual perspective and an emotional perspective.

I talked about getting lost in the mind.

It's like we get lost with our emotions too.

But when we're grounded and those emotions come in,

I did touch on this a little,

They're a lot easier to manage because we're sitting in a stable vessel.

Our body is a grounded stable vessel.

So when these little emotional storms come through,

They don't just knock us all around.

We're just sitting there and it's like,

Okay.

So this is what I'm talking about.

When I was going down to Cabaret yesterday,

I was paying attention.

Where am I?

Am I in my body?

Am I grounded?

And when I was,

I was fine.

But then every once in a while,

The driving can be a little crazy over here,

Which I don't mind because I was a crazy driver when I was younger.

So back then I learned a flow.

Plus spiritually,

I'm very into a flow.

If there's a flow to something,

I can usually connect to that flow and go with it.

So the driving over here is like that.

It's a flow.

It's a fast flow and a crazy flow,

But it's still a flow.

So when I connect with the flow of it,

I can go with it and it's not bad.

I can handle it.

But sometimes when that flow,

Like if I'm not grounded,

Especially in that flow gets real choppy,

Then I can get a little irritated.

And that's what was happening yesterday,

I was noticing there was a flow.

And then all of a sudden you just come up against somebody that's driving 15 miles an hour for no apparent reason.

And then sometimes you can't get around them because there's other things going on.

And it's like,

Whoa,

What?

And it knocks you out of your flow.

Then you go around them and you get back into the flow and then you nail another one.

And it was getting like,

I hit,

I remember yesterday I was driving and it was three in a row like that.

Like I went through the first one and I stayed in my flow.

And then I got to the second one and I started getting knocked out of my flow a little bit.

And I didn't fully know this until I thought about it afterwards.

And then the third one,

It was just,

I had just gotten,

You know,

My flow had just gotten chopped three different times in like two minutes and I couldn't stay in the flow.

So I was,

Ah,

I'm out of my,

You know,

It just,

It didn't feel comfortable.

It didn't.

So,

You know,

So I got knocked,

Knocked a little bit,

But as soon as I just put my attention and I was like,

Whoa,

Just stay,

You know,

I was using the word grounded yesterday,

As opposed to in my body,

But you can use,

You know,

They're interchangeable,

But I was like,

Just dude,

Just like,

You know,

Stay grounded.

It's fine.

And as soon as I said that I w I felt all my energy go right back into my body.

It came right out of my head and the little floaty stuff that kind of feels like you're out of control a little bit,

That floaty stuff with which,

Which is kind of emotion,

Um,

Affiliated.

And then the mind,

What it started doing,

Both those aspects,

Just as soon as I grounded,

Everything just went,

And I was like,

Oh yeah,

Okay.

I'm good.

And this is why it's so important is to understand this.

This is what it does for us.

You know,

If our mind starts going or our emotions start going,

Um,

Or,

Or we even get too flighty in a spiritual perspective,

And it's really not that benefit.

It's like,

Bring it in,

You know,

Come back ground,

Come back here where you're solid,

You're safe,

You're secure,

You're locked in,

You're foundational,

You're,

You've got your roots.

And it's like this,

This other stuff that's just doesn't even stand a chance,

You know,

So yeah,

Nature is a huge way,

Which I just saw Karen post something,

Which I'm gonna,

I'm gonna click on.

So because I know she was studying this before I went to school to be a forest therapy practitioner.

Yeah.

I knew she had gone to school for that.

The teacher had read earthing by Clint Ober,

Which introduced me to this ground.

I use grounding pillowcase.

There you go.

Grounding is something we were doing without even knowing it when we're young,

Always walking barefoot.

We are provided everything we need free magnetic energy from the earth.

So cool.

This is exactly what I was talking about.

You know,

So one of the things that,

That,

That Karen read was earthing by Clint Ober.

So you know,

You guys can look into that too.

So yeah,

We,

You know,

We are,

It's,

You know,

When we think it's like something that's been popping into my head a lot lately is that like,

We don't,

It's a dichotomy.

Like a lot of things are,

It's a dichotomy that like in one way,

We don't understand how new our problems are in another way.

We don't understand how old they are.

So we don't understand how old they are because we've been living egoically for tens of thousands of years.

This is nothing new.

We're just reaching the pinnacle where we're going to kill ourselves off as a species at this point.

It's like,

This is why the spiritual shift is happening because it has to,

We,

A species evolves when it needs to.

We are coming towards the end of this dysfunctional paradigm that we've been living in for thousands of years,

Tens of thousands of years.

You know,

When,

When you're,

When you're running around just killing a whole,

Like,

Like group of people to,

To own their land and enslaving them and stuff like that's whacked,

Man,

That is egoic.

This was happening tens of thousands of years ago.

So like,

This is nothing new as far as the dysfunctional way of living and the egoic running,

You know,

Our,

Our minds and our decision making and all that stuff.

That,

That's very old.

But,

You know,

Why has,

One of the things that has helped it pick up speed,

Especially in the last couple hundred years is society,

You know,

And the way society has changed.

We don't use our bodies.

You know,

Why is there a gym on every corner?

Because we need one.

Like,

That's why,

Because we don't use our bodies anymore.

Like,

So our bodies are falling apart because we don't use them.

You know,

The,

The food that we eat is,

Is genetically modified and messed up.

So like,

We have to make up for this stuff in ways because up until,

You know,

Maybe a hundred years ago,

Most of this stuff wasn't the case.

You know,

I still see it over here in the DR.

It's like taking a step back in time because most of the people over here,

There's,

There's not half the obesity over here than there was over there.

You know,

And it's not just because of the poverty rate.

There's a large aspect that these,

Or,

Or,

I mean,

I guess depends on how you look at the poverty rate.

But like poverty,

I.

E.

A lack of food,

Of course plays a part.

But the,

The physical activity is completely different.

I mean,

People actually physically do things over here still.

You know,

They still do their laundry by hand,

A lot of them,

And they still go down to the river and carry water up a lot of them.

You know,

A lot of them don't have electricity in the mountains.

That is like,

It's a different lifestyle where people are actually using their bodies to do things more.

So,

So,

You know,

We,

We have that aspect,

But the,

The,

What made me think of all this was that like people touched,

We don't,

We literally can go 10 years without touching the earth because we always have shoes on,

Right?

I mean,

Like I said,

Even me up here in the mountains of the DR,

I have to make a conscious decision to ground because I'm not walking around barefoot.

A lot of people here do.

A lot of people here still,

It's,

It's amazing to me,

Man.

I watched my friend's sister walk down my driveway here several months ago and I still remember it.

I just happened to look out the window and she's walking to her aunt's house and she's like 17 and barefoot.

And my driveway is all rock and it's sharp rock.

It's like,

Well,

It's not quite as sharp as coral,

But,

Um,

I don't know what the heck it is,

But it's very sharp rock.

And she's just walking down barefoot,

You know,

Not even a thought.

It's like their feet,

Their feet like leather,

Man,

A lot of them,

They can walk on amazing stuff.

And it's,

It's very interesting and that takes time.

I was actually doing it down by the,

Uh,

By the beach.

Cause like there's certain parts of the beach where it's all rock coral rock,

Where you can't walk on that stuff.

Cause you'll just dice your feet open.

Um,

And so you have to walk along a path behind rock and that can have,

You know,

That can be all kinds of different stuff,

You know,

But I would,

I got myself to where I could walk the whole,

Like I could walk a couple of hour and a half,

Two hours on dirt roads with rock,

Um,

You know,

Smoother rock,

Um,

All different,

Um,

Textures and sometimes,

Uh,

Hot sands and,

Um,

Sticks and all kinds of stuff.

I got to a point where I could walk my whole walk down and back barefoot because my feet were toughening up over time,

You know,

And w which,

Which was wonderful.

I wish I was still doing that in a way,

But you know,

Just got to find other ways.

Maybe I'll stop walking up and down my driveway.

Well my point is,

Is that we,

We are out of touch with the earth,

You know,

And we need to get back in touch,

Earthing,

Grounding,

Getting back into our bodies,

Um,

And feeling the stability there and bringing our spiritual lessons out of our intellect,

If we've learned them intellectually and out of the ether,

If we've learned them experientially,

Like through sound healings or whatever other experiences we can have and integrate them into our bodies feel,

You know,

Bring our awareness into our bodies and feel that we need to integrate this stuff and practice living it,

You know,

Like,

Especially with the spiritual lessons.

Oh,

Well I,

I learned that all is love.

Oh,

Okay.

That's a nice thought.

How are you bringing that into,

How can you,

You have to look for a life situation to stand in love and you don't have to look hard because the universe is going to give you one.

As soon as we learn a lesson,

The universe gives us an opportunity to stand in that lesson and act it out physically.

Why?

Because that is,

That's how we integrate.

That's how we shift our vibration is by,

We are physical beings that has a vibrational rate.

So until we stand in it physically and we act out of love in a situation that we used to act out of anger or sadness or run and hide or freeze,

But instead we choose to act out of love,

When we do that,

The lesson becomes part of us and it literally changes our vibration.

Then we stop vibrating at a different rate.

So this is what we need to do.

So ground,

Get back into your body,

Integrate whatever you're learning.

Don't spend a bunch of time taking in spiritual information.

We're doing way too much of that.

Don't listen to 32 podcasts and read 48 books.

Read one and see how you can integrate it into your daily life.

It's going to be much more,

You're going to get much more out of that than just constantly taking in knowledge.

So yeah,

And Sarah,

I saw your comment.

Reframing is definitely worth its own episode and I agree with you.

I know I've talked about it several times,

But maybe it's been a part of a larger topic.

So maybe I can just take that out.

I'm going to make a note of that.

Maybe I'll do reframing soon,

But if I do that,

I'm going to need examples.

So you guys email me some examples,

You know,

Like what you want reframed.

This is,

You know,

Because as soon as you start talking about reframing,

Whatever example you give,

People go,

Yeah,

Okay,

I get it.

Yeah,

But what about this?

You know,

So,

But it's all good.

So yeah,

Email me some examples of what you would like me to use reframing and I can keep it anonymous.

So you know,

So you don't have to worry about that.

So hey,

Carl,

You're welcome.

Yeah,

Bring it into your body.

Ground,

You know,

This is important stuff right now.

Seriously,

This is very important stuff.

If you spend,

Don't,

You know,

I just told you not to do this and I'm going to tell you again,

Don't do this.

So you just listen to a podcast or watched a podcast on this and if you only caught some of it,

You can go back and listen to the rest of it.

But don't take this in,

Feel better and then not implement it.

It's just a waste of your time and you because you'll feel a little bit better because you just listen to somebody talk about spirituality for a little bit and that's a,

That's a positive thing.

So your body is going to give you a positive feedback.

You might feel a little bit lighter,

You might feel a little bit more hopeful,

You might feel a little introspective in a healthy,

Happy way.

And then you go about your life.

Don't go about your life the same way.

Bring this into your physical experience.

Find ways to actually practice it and do it.

Otherwise you just wasted your time because you're going to need another patch of spirituality.

You're going to have to listen to somebody else tomorrow or three times a day or whatever you're addicted to.

So don't,

You know,

Don't,

Don't think that listening to spiritual teachers is going to enhance your life because it's not.

Implementing it is going to enhance your life.

Listening to spiritual teachers will just make you feel a little bit better.

It's just,

It doesn't do anything.

It doesn't last.

It's like putting a bandaid on a broken leg.

It's like feeding your ego.

It's like complaining.

When you complain,

You feel a little bit better about yourself.

Right?

So it's,

So you feel a little bit better about yourself when you complain and then you,

So you feel a little bit better and then you go about your life and then,

Well,

You've got to complain again.

Why?

Because the way you actually feel about yourself is starting to bubble up to the surface.

So you complain about something.

Oh,

There,

I feel a little bit better because complaining means,

You know,

I've said this many times,

Means that you,

You're creating separation when you complain.

You're implying unconsciously,

Most people aren't conscious of this,

But you are implying that you're better than whatever you're complaining about.

Because if it were up to you,

You wouldn't do that.

You're just implying that by the very nature of complaining about the person or the situation,

You know,

So you feel like you're better than that person or situation.

That's what complaining does.

That's why people do it so often because they get something from it.

They get an ego stroke.

Ah,

I feel a little bit better.

At least I'm not that person or that situation.

I'm better than that,

You know,

But then you have to do it again and again and again and again and again.

So it never solves anything.

You just put a band-aid on a broken leg over and over and over and over.

So you know,

It's the same thing with spiritual lessons.

You feel a little bit better because you took in something positive.

So you are getting something out of it,

But your life doesn't change unless you implement it.

It's time to implement.

So do it to it,

Just like Nike says,

Right,

Karen?

Karen posted that.

Nothing changes if nothing changes like Nike says,

Just do it.

Absolutely,

Karen.

All right,

You guys.

Thanks for paying attention for those of you who did.

Thanks for listening and I will talk with you soon.

I will talk with you next year.

It'll be 2022 soon.

All right.

So thank you,

Everybody.

There's my ending.

So thanks.

Do your best to integrate ground and it will serve you well,

For sure.

Take care.
