Greetings and welcome to our third meditation in our New Moon Meditation Week,
Connecting us to the African Kemetic Principle of Heru.
Heru activates our freedom to choose.
So far this week we have explored how we embody our freedom to choose,
Firstly by finding the stillness behind our emotions,
And secondly by feeling safe to create to bring our freedom into existence.
The beautiful thing about having the freedom to choose is that it allows us to cultivate power,
Our spiritual power.
It is the contrast between having an emotional charge to do something in our lower nature,
And then making the conscious choice to act in alignment with our higher nature,
That brings into existence our newfound spiritual strength,
Creative power,
And affirms our intuitive intelligence.
And Heru teaches us that to seek the path of freedom from desire is to act in alignment with our highest consciousness.
So in today's meditation we'll be exploring this process further.
We are going to go into heart congruence just as we have done in the last two meditations,
But this time I would like you to call to mind a desire that you would like to overcome,
But you are finding it emotionally challenging to do so.
It could be for example resisting sweet treats that bring you comfort or ease stress,
Or being on social media excessively to procrastinate from something that you need to do,
But are too scared to,
Or resisting the urge to react to someone from your emotions because your ego feels threatened.
Once you have your scenario don't think about it anymore for now,
Until I invite you to call it to mind in the meditation.
So I invite you to find a comfortable seated position with your spine upright.
Ideally you don't want to be lying down for this meditation because we want you to stay alert,
And if you're lying down you're more likely to drift into sleep as we move into the deepest brainwave state.
Now I invite you to close your eyes as long as you feel safe to do so.
If you don't feel safe to do so then I'd invite you just to lower your gaze slightly to draw your attention away from what's happening around you.
Now I invite you to take some deep cleansing breaths in and out through the nose to bring your body into relaxation.
So inhaling through the nose slowly drawing the air into the air,
Expanding your stomach as much as possible,
And then releasing the air slowly from the abdomen,
Contracting your navel into your spine.
Take another breath in through the nose,
This time extending the inhale for a count of four.
And then slowly allowing the air to release,
Again extending on the exhale for a count of four.
And we'll repeat that one more time,
So taking a deep inhale through the nose,
Extending for a count of four,
And then exhaling through the nose,
Extending the breath for a count of four.
And now I'd invite you to release this extended breath,
Just allowing yourself to breathe at a pace that is comfortable for you,
But you should find that it's slightly deeper than you normally breathe in your day-to-day life.
And by closing your eyes and deepening your breath you're allowing your body to move into a relaxed state of being,
Your natural rhythm.
So when you're ready I'd like you to bring your hands to the centre of your chest to connect with your heart centre.
And now as I bring in the bowls I'd invite you to connect into your heart space,
Feeling the gratitude for everything that your heart does for you on a daily basis.
And now I'd like you to release this extended breath,
Just allowing yourself to breathe at a pace that is comfortable for you,
And now I'd like you to release this extended breath,
Just allowing yourself to breathe at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Feeling the gratitude for everything that your heart does for you on a daily basis.
Feeling the gratitude,
You may even feel your heart beating,
Connecting to this physical sensation.
And as you feel this gratitude for your heart,
I'd invite you to deepen your attention to connecting to this sensation of gratitude.
What does the energy of gratitude feel like for you?
You may find a warmth,
A relaxation,
Or an expansive feeling.
Either way,
Connecting to this energetic vibration and feeling to this feeling state for the next few moments.
And now I'd invite you to call to mind the desire that you would like to overcome.
Initially,
I'd like you to feel fully into falling into this desire,
So feeling to the comfort that this desire tempts you with.
Maybe you feel some emotional resistance,
Ease.
Fully embody this feeling.
Notice how this energetic sensation feels inside your body.
Now have a think about what you would do instead of giving into this desire.
What is the thing or the feeling that you are avoiding?
Fully experience yourself doing this instead.
Notice how your feeling state shifts.
And notice the feeling state that comes up instead having not given in.
You may feel lighter,
More joy,
Confidence,
Self-esteem,
Spiritual power.
It may even feel freeing.
Sit with this feeling state for the next few moments.
Allow the energetic sensation to expand around your body.
And now I invite you to release this feeling state.
I'll count down from 10 to bring your attention back into the room.
Welcome back.
So I'd invite you to take a light stretch and bring some movement back into your body by also wiggling your fingers,
Rolling your wrists,
Wriggling your toes,
And rolling your ankles.
Hopefully you were able to witness the energetic shift that comes from overcoming desire and activating your will.
This is how you create spiritual empowerment.
When we are spiritually empowered,
We move into energetic alignment with our intuition,
Clearing the way for it to serve us more effectively.
Hopefully you could witness the energetic shift that comes from overcoming desire and activating your will.
