Welcome to this Contemplative Meditation or hexagram number 16 of the I Ching and the Dao's Wisdom on Enthusiasm,
Joyful Readiness and Inspired Action.
Before we dive in to this inspiring wisdom and teachings,
Let's take a moment just to ground down,
Come aware of the body and move the focus of attention from the mental mind into our core,
Relaxing the shoulders,
The jaw and wherever there may be tension.
Breathing slowly and softly.
As we remember that the experience that we are moving into is a participatory one.
At this time,
We are called to move into the position of observer.
And just notice what arises for you as this teaching unfolds.
You may receive your awareness in a multitude of ways,
Through the body,
Memories,
Emotions,
Symbols,
Images,
And there's no preferred way.
Just be comfortable and relaxed and put any and all expectations to the side.
Trusting that the awareness you need to receive consciously,
You will do so.
And that all else will continue processing for you in a way that is aligned with your greater good.
Taking another conscious breath in and out and bringing yourself into balance,
Whatever position you may be in.
Now,
Let us move forward.
Move forward into the moment before action.
This is when energy gathers just like music before the dance starts.
It is the joy of anticipation.
Just like the times in childhood of the night before a celebrated occasion.
And this is the readiness of spirit that moves mountains.
I Ching reflects this experience,
These emotions connected through the elements of thunder beneath the earth.
Just take a moment to feel into that.
Notice a stirring from below.
It's building momentum.
It feels like,
Sounds like the heartbeat of action.
Joyful,
Confident,
And clear.
Breathe that into every single cell of your body.
Let that settle,
Allowing it to now travel and unfold further through your physiology.
And let us be reminded that enthusiasm is not recklessness.
Rather,
It is inspired readiness.
And knowing that now is the time to rise.
Enthusiasm teaches that aligned energy moves naturally and that joy can lead when grounded in purpose.
So,
What calls for your enthusiasm?
Where is your energy leading you?
Allow the first responses to come through naturally and without attachment.
Watch them,
Sense them as they float within you,
Around you,
And then continue on their journey.
Trusting that it is unfolding exactly as it needs to.
Take a moment to let that focus go for a few moments.
Taking your awareness now back to the sensation of thunder or perhaps even a drumbeat.
Both are alive,
Alive with promise.
Springtime,
Too,
Is a reflection of this aliveness bursting into bloom.
And it's a time when joy leads and the spirit follows.
And now a reminder directly from the I Ching,
Which says,
Dwelling on the power of love,
Dwelling on the power and mystery of the spiritual brings harmony and happiness.
Dwelling on the power and mystery of the spiritual brings harmony and happiness.
Breathe into that for a moment and then let that be.
May you find your rhythm through enthusiasm and in readiness,
May you find your moment.
If you would like to deepen and further your understanding and response to enthusiasm,
