Hello and welcome to this grounding meditation.
I invite you to sit down or lay down in a way that allows your spine to be relatively straight and your body relaxed and comfortable.
You're welcome to close your eyes gently or soften your gaze if that feels more comfortable for you.
And we'll begin with your breath.
Just taking a few slow deep breaths.
Feeling the air moving in and out of your body.
Letting your belly rise and then fall with each inhale and exhale.
And if you become aware of any tension in your mind or your body,
We can just notice that and allow it to soften with each breath.
And I invite you to bring your awareness to your feet and the earth beneath you.
And right here we can just notice this solid ground beneath your body.
You might wiggle your toes a bit and then press your feet firmly into the earth,
Feeling your body any senses of stability and support as you feel the structure of the ground underneath your body.
We can take another breath in and then as you exhale,
Imagine roots growing down from your body,
Down through the layers of the planet,
All the way to the center of the earth.
We can take a few breaths here,
Just connecting to the energetic core of the earth,
Allowing your awareness and your intention root you deep into earth.
And I invite you to breathe up this energy of earth up through your roots like a liquid golden light rising up through all the layers of earth back to your body.
And you might breathe in this sense of groundedness and connection,
A sense of nourishment,
The energy of resilience to change and presence with the seasons that we move through our lives.
And as you breathe these qualities of earth back up into your body,
I invite you to feel that liquid golden light traveling through your body,
Permeating you,
Moving to caress any places that might need this remedy in this moment.
And you can notice your body with awareness,
Just traveling slowly and tracking any sensations around your body as you feel this golden light moving all around you,
Through you,
Connecting you to the heart of earth.
And I invite you to bring your awareness now to your heart center,
Feeling the warmth of your own presence,
Feeling the connection to earth,
To the source of love and life,
To the interconnectedness of all beings.
And breathe in this connection,
Allowing it to fill your entire being.
And from your own heart,
Connected down into earth's heart,
See this liquid golden light expanding around you into a shield,
All around you,
Above your head,
Below your feet,
Bathing you in this light and safety and support and connection.
And feeling this shield of light all around you,
Feel it resonating with the frequency of the mantra,
It is safe to be as I am.
I am grounded,
I am supported,
I am connected.
And just feel this resonance.
And from your heart center,
This liquid golden light pulses through you and all around you,
Moving to the palms of your hands where they illuminate,
And you might place your hands on a part of your body that needs this extra support right now,
Or else placing your hands on your belly and your heart.
And we'll take another deep breath here,
Just letting yourself know,
I am supported,
I am connected.
And you might wiggle your toes and gently come back to your body,
Remembering that this support and connection is always present throughout your day,
Feel your roots,
Feel the golden light all around you.
