Transcript

You You are invited to celebrate with the wisdom of fire.

For this meditation,

We will be exploring the energy of oxidized tea.

You will need to get any red,

Purple or oolong tea of your choice as well as hot water and a tea bowl.

The size of the tea bowl should be enough space for the leaves to open in the bowl as they will be steeped directly in the bowl.

While your water is boiling,

Take a moment to organize your tea space.

When everything is ready,

The hot water,

The tea and all the accessories are in front of you.

We will be able to start this tea meditation together.

You are invited to make yourself comfortable.

You can maybe sit on a blanket,

A cushion or a pillow.

Anything that allows you to comfortably settle into this very moment away from any distractions.

I invite you to put the leaves of your tea into the tea bowl and pour the water on top of your leaves,

Assisting the infusion of water and leaves with your breath.

Taking a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Again,

Following the same cycle of breath on your own.

And if the water is at a comfortable temperature,

I invite you to receive this bowl of tea in silence.

When you are done receiving your tea,

You can put your bowl back down in front of you and close your eyes.

Taking a moment to check in with yourself and you can maybe place your two ends on your heart.

How many heartbeat does it take until you are feeling full and present?

Guided by the movement of your breath.

Using your breath,

Your presence to be full and your ends.

Deepen out through the nose.

Slow exhale through the mouth.

Noticing how your chest is expanding with each inhalation and more at peace with each exhalation.

Allowing your minds to gently drop into the natural wisdom of your heart.

Observing your breath flowing in and out through all the pores of your skin.

Allowing the boundary between the body and the outside world to melt.

Exhale entirely through your mouth with the sound,

Ahhh,

As if it comes from your heart and out deeply from your nose.

And exhale again from your heart with the sound,

Ahhh.

Noticing how your heart is pulsating symbiotically with the heart of the earth.

You are invited to let yourself return to the presence of your heart as you are remembering the courage of the leaves to open and infuse unconditionally in your bowl.

I invite you to pour more water on top of your leaves,

Observing them opening in your bowl with the force of the warm water assisting the infusion with your breath and presence.

And if the water is at a comfortable temperature,

I invite you to receive this bowl of tea in silence.

Letting yourself return the presence of your heart.

Letting yourself return the presence of your heart.

When you are done receiving your tea,

You can put the bowl back down in front of you and close your eyes.

Observing the force of fire,

Just like the gentle fire boiling at the center of your heart,

The center of your temple,

Emblazed,

Celebrating the joy and zest of life.

The enlivening power of communion,

Connection,

Creation.

The flame sparkling from the source,

Awakening a pure form of consciousness beaming from the space in your heart.

Fire energy is moving outwardly,

Like a longing to connect,

To be seen,

To be loved.

It is your creative source yearning to be expressed and shared.

A blazing force of transformation,

Inviting you to pour your creativity into the process of now,

To allow you to adapt to the new way.

Fire is reminding you the essence of courage,

To trust the vulnerable process of being seen,

Of pouring your love into the unknown.

To follow the way of the spirit,

The way of co-creation with courage and peace.

Your heart is inviting you to enter the realm of other power,

Where love is moving from beyond the self,

Embracing all things just as they are,

Including the self.

Your element is reminding you that anything enlivening your heart is the right path.

A fire can be overwhelming,

Destructive or a fire can be comforting,

A time for celebration,

A time for collaboration,

A time to love beyond the self.

When the gates of your heart are open,

The creative fire of your spirit exists beyond the boundaries of the self,

Inviting courage,

Equanimity and peace.

Unaffected by either loss or gain,

Pleasure or pain,

Simply open to create,

Connect,

Play beyond the bliss of presence with the endless flow of life.

When I see you,

I see me.

When you see me,

You see you.

When the damns of fears are breached,

We are one pure living presence.

From the presence of your heart,

I invite you to pour yourself another bowl of tea,

Pouring water on top of your leaves,

Assisting the infusion of water and leaves with your breath.

Deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,

Honouring the cycle of breath on your own.

And when the water is at the comfortable temperature,

I invite you to receive this bowl in silence.

The wisdom of fire is inviting you to meditate on these questions.

What enliven your inner fire?

What moves you and inspires you to create?

What gives you the courage to connect with your community?

How much can you love unconditionally?

May this cup of tea allow you to remember the courage,

To remember the creative fire of the essential flow of life.

I invite you to sit in silence with your bowl and honour and receive the wisdom of the element of fire.

Many blessings to you.

May this cup of tea allow you to love unconditionally.

May this cup of tea allow you to love unconditionally.

May this cup of tea allow you to love unconditionally.

May this cup of tea allow you to love unconditionally.
