A process of insightful reflection and emotional honesty to facilitate a more potent and authentic approach to goal setting. This will be helpful if you have found that goals you have achieved in the past have not been as satisfying as you thought they would be. Or simply if you are looking for a useful filter through which to examine your intentions for the coming weeks, months and even years.

Feminine Essence Goal Setting,
Where are you coming from in your quest for something new?
So are you thinking of setting goals or making resolutions or have you got an intention that you'd like to unfold?
Now there are certain times of the year that people often think about goal setting or making resolutions or setting an intention which is often around new year but if you're like me you probably set goals at any time of year and because I'm focusing on the feminine essence way of doing things that really wouldn't be surprising it's a very feminine way of doing things we catch the inspiration and we use that energy and we just start we start the process it's like growing or unfolding our desire it's not about taking massive action it's not about crushing it that's a very masculine led approach which is absolutely fine but if you're listening to this that's probably not what you're drawn to which can be very if that's not the way you're inclined it can be quite draining and masculine energy is very push forward penetrating the wilds around it making things happen and it's as I said it's definitely one way of doing things and the many people who use that approach and they they thrive on it the feminine approach is different it's unfolding from within which is why it's good for us to prep prep within first before we move into the action element and it's also why it may not be a hugely structured approach of right this is my five-year plan and this is what I'm doing it can be you can utilize it in that way but on the whole it's like this is what I want to do I've got the idea now and I'm ready to run with it and so it there's still lots of movement but it starts from within and before we do that before we do however we describe this inclination to be do or have something different from what we're currently experiencing because we do often want to change up things we want to experience new things we want to have new relationships deeper relationships we want to go to new places so it's completely a natural part of of life and of growth but before we get into that I'd like to encourage you to first of all observe where you're coming from this clarity will naturally align you with the feminine essence way of goal setting what do I mean so when I say where you're coming from I mean what is the state of mind or state of being that is fueling this goal your resolution or your intention is it fear is it the masculine of I must I must I must take action now and don't plan anything just yet wait for a time when you feel more neutral grounded in that place you are more present to your life and your inherent feminine nature and from this place you'll start to more effortlessly get to know which area of life you want to put some attention on and often we don't tend to put attention on all areas of life at once because that can be quite overwhelming and and sometimes it's just it's just not really realistic but if you do want to do that and that works for you absolutely you're fine with it but on the whole people tend to focus on either their work they want to get a new job they want to start something new try out new interests whether they want to meet someone whether they have got some health goals they want to transform their body they want to eat better they want to try new recipes so there are myriads of opportunities and it's a good idea to even if you want to do all areas it's a good idea to put your attention on one area first and then maybe start to stagger the start date some people actually can do that really well so you put one area stagger the start days you get going and then momentum and you just keep going rolling into another area of your life as you move through the year you also want to feel good about your intention from deep within as that naturally unlocks inner resources to power your implementation of it because we all don't understand that and that's why when we go for goals we haven't really considered properly we can find ourselves um getting discouraged or disenfranchised or exhausted and it's because we haven't unlocked the creative energy to drive it that's really important in the feminine essence way of of unfolding goals and intentions so that you don't burn out you don't overuse your energy you don't deplete yourself so you want to feel good about your intentions from deep within as that naturally unlocks inner resources to power your implementation of it including the how or at least the next immediate how step so it may be we don't see the whole thing of what we need to be doing but we know okay i need to i need to maybe i'm going to go and research my recipes that's just what comes to mind it feels like a really great thing to do it sounds fun and also it's just meaningful and practical in terms of my idea if i want to change what i'm eating on a day basics for example when we act from fear or resentment we tend not to achieve what we want as those states are not very empowering they are draining to our feminine energy and guzzlers of creative energy the very thing we need to keep moving or if we do achieve something from those states it doesn't feel like how we thought it would and even worse we may have sacrificed other good things on the way like our health or integrity gut instincts or feminine fulfillment which is what we definitely do not want to be doing what about anger anger can be a great clarifying emotion if you're willing to see what you need to see and you allow the anger to abate and then reassess so that's what anger is great for um anger can be really good fuel because it brings clarity and then you can move into actions from there but as long as it is clarifying anger and it's not then you don't then use the anger to fuel angry action if that makes sense and then what about feeling excited isn't that a great state to move from it is great to feel excited about something but you can also do a bit more to feel behind the excitement into a more neutral place so when you do that are you still keen to go ahead sometimes the surface surge of positive emotion is masking fear or a desperate a desperation or an impatience to get something or for change and that's not necessarily a bad thing it's information like i said we want to feel good about our intentions so we need to feel through that desperation feel through the impatience i i have experienced that i don't know whether you have and it's almost like being seen impossible but it's it's not actually that they are impossible it's just that we're feeling that way so we feel through it until we feel more centered and then we can check is our our goal or intention does it still feel authentic does it still feel it's a good thing definitely wants and do we feel great about it from deep within regardless of our circumstances and then we can make a decision whether that we want to go ahead because from that place even when we meet obstacles we won't give up because we've unlocked the creative energy deep within and that's helping us to move forward and it feels great and to be honest when you're going for going for a true authentic goal or intention that is actually the biggest part of the bliss it's actually in the unfolding process it should feel great it should feel stretchy and you'll want to see how you're growing you'll you'll sense it and and so at the end of it yes you may have this goal but that you what you also have is you more of you so consider these before you begin your goal setting or intention setting activity or something maybe you prefer to call it um calling them desires or dreams however you want to call it i'm just i've just made some notes here about things you might want to just consider before you start to help you get into a in that you know that strong grounded place where you can reflect and reflecting is different from just intellectual thinking because reflection allows things to bubble up from from deep within your heart things that maybe that you wouldn't necessarily see when you're in a more harried state so things to help you get ready for your goal setting process feel uncomfortable feelings until you feel settled or clear sometimes something might be happening that feels like it's really urgent and i really need to get this told i really need to change my situation i really need to have this happen we've all probably been there at some point or the other but that is not a great place to set an intention from and we don't we don't we don't feel the confidence and the peace in that state and it doesn't take much to kind of get us back into center to recalibrate so that we can just be sure that we are choosing with wisdom and and from a clear head it is a process to feel through our feelings and it may take a while but feeling our feelings feeling your feelings will always take you in the direction that you want to go and that's a really helpful thing to hold on to when they come up because often when our feelings come up we feel that they're indicative of our prospects in life and they're not they're indicative of what is coming up within us in that moment and it's sometimes very hard to separate the two so feel through your feelings if you need to get you know extra support with that with a therapist or a friend or a coach or a mentor then i also would encourage you to to do that give yourself permission to not set any goals or intentions for now like maybe you feel like this urgency like oh i really need to change my life you know don't rush to do anything you're not going to be left behind do not do not worry that um the train is going to leave without you it won't it just feels so rushed and hurried when you're in that state but it's not an indication of of your true prospects as indication of how you are feeling in your being in that moment so it's okay to say look you know what i'm just going to nurture and nourish myself for a bit i'm not going to think about goals and intentions just yet because it doesn't it's just not sitting right just now and i'm going to love myself until i feel in a better space i'll know but i'm going to do this you can either if it's we have different personalities some of you might prefer to set a date at a time you want to come back and revisit the goal setting activities and others will you know your your mo is that action i'll know when i'm ready and i'll come back then another way to prep for your goal setting an intention setting to sit in silence for a bit with no agenda but simply to enjoy the nurturing experiencing of just witnessing your own your own soul of just being literally just enjoying being and just the fact that you are here and absent of any thinking of any circumstances of any other things and um you can also use your favorite meditations and breath work resources to support you another way of prepping is some people are more kinetic sitting silently is not necessarily something that you would enjoy doing or maybe it just doesn't feel like it helps you in this particular setting so you might prefer something more practical and therefore you might want to do something like to have some cleaning to do where you can just immerse yourself for a bit it's another form of meditation and and calming and grounding and also you get a lot of results at the end of it you get a lovely clean space or whatever it is that you're cleaning whether it's space or a car or some other object and then because you will have dropped or fill it into your body then you'll be in a better place to sit down and reflect on what which goals you want to put your attention on through the year at whatever point you are doing this doesn't have to be beginning of the year with the middle of the end and as i mentioned i if i'm when i'm ready whatever time of year i just get up and that's it i start there i start then another thing that is helpful is just getting fresh air and that can be like going out to have a walk in nature connecting with nature but it actually can just be in being staying inside but opening the opening windows opening doors and letting air let's move through and letting move around so it's not feeling like particularly if you're feeling a little bit like stagnating like i don't know what to do for my goals i don't know how to change don't need to know how to do but we just need to feel the discomfort of the confusion and let it pass and then clarity will eventually land and then it's it'll be easier to decide what it is that you want to put your attention on if anything at all because it's not mandatory it's just that we just tend to go through cycles of we tend to be aware of but it's just time to move on from things when it's time to learn new things when it's time to call in things that we actually generalize and put some attention there because otherwise it won't i'm gonna say it won't happen but it's often the signs and the cues might be there but because we're so busy we miss them so it's almost like we're just saying prepping our working with our mind and our body to say actually yes i think this is an important thing i don't put my attention on and then we're more likely to be attuned to the cues and the signals the things that we can be doing and clearing and moving around to start to unfold those goals and then this is really key for feminine essence goal setting let it be joyful this is really because you know joy is one of the natural that's one of the natural drivers of the feminine and if you see someone who is generally feminine they're going to be emitting a lot of joy so have fun imagining your intention unfolding and this is it you know it's like visualization we are trying to make something happen it's genuinely a thing to do on it and i like to explain it in this way sometimes we worry about things and we don't want those things to happen but it's a habit isn't it so this is the contra habit where we we just imagine joyful things happening we just imagine the things that we are thinking about we just imagine going on that trip we imagine meeting that partner we imagine having that baby we just imagine just for the fun of it it's not trying to make anything happen it's not about ruminating about how it's going to happen it's just literally just enjoy destroy imagining it it's a habit that can become a habit and again the trick is not to start falling into a sense of lack or sense of how do i make it happen it's literally just changing using our faculties for a more joyful way rather than in worrying because worrying doesn't help us even though it can sometimes it might feel like it does like if i'm worrying it means i'm bothered about it right and in some ways that's true but it's actually not helpful in any way so if we're gonna be bothered about something let's be joyful and think oh well let me imagine how that how that how am i that player how might that player how might that feel so it's a really it's a you know it's a useful exercise and and that it may throw up some helpful insights and it may also throw up some comfortable feelings to be felt and i know i'm always talking about these feelings but she's uncomfortable ones but as i as i said it's often not recognized that the feeling part of those feelings is also part of unfolding your goal and actually reeling your house and that is actually a part of the how it also shortens the journey and you feel that because actually what you have what you do when you feel uncomfortable feelings you are melting away resistance so it's easier to attune to inspiration it's easier to encourage yourself and it's easier to you'll have more creative energy to take action so you can see that actually it's a really helpful thing and you can see how i say it shortens the journey what i've personally found is i will have an idea to do something and it's not at all obvious to me that's actually connected with an intention that i've already set then later on i i look back and i join the dots and i see what happened and it's usually all very effortless as long as i keep feeling keep feeling literally and it's like oh look i was thinking about that thing and now i've got this i just found there's this resource to help me do that and suddenly it's like oh that's interesting and at one point maybe i was feeling like oh you know can this happen how do i do it and then but i just stopped doing that maybe get to something else and then i have this thought of putting this webpage and oh look what i found and it always happens like that in little ways we bump into somebody we hear something in a film that just seems to speak to our situation it's like how does that happen but you know these things they do happen in wondrous ways and sometimes very simple ways the feminine feminine essence goal setting is a is a way of trust it's trusting the creator trusting yourself and trusting the creative process so i wish you well as you as you decide what you want to focus on whatever the time of year you come to this journey well
