Transcript

This meditation is meant to help you with reviewing past storms in your life.

Knowing that you're safe because these storms are in the past,

You survive.

Take a moment to pause to get settled in your chair or on your mat,

Inviting a few deep breaths into your body,

Allowing that breath to nurture and relax you as you connect with all the sensations it brings to your body,

Noticing the cool air entering your nostrils,

Feeling the rise and fall of your stomach and your chest,

And connecting with the expansion on the in-breath and the release on the out-breath.

You are safe and you are supported.

You are grounded as you explore the past.

As you sit quietly,

You begin to notice and hear the rumble of thunder.

That thunder and the storms are all in the past.

They're behind you.

As you look back,

You can see that those storms came for a reason.

In different seasons of your life,

They may have been painful and stressful at the time,

But as you reflect back,

What did you learn?

How did you grow?

Did you notice the strengths that you had,

That you weren't aware of?

Allow the storms to come and go.

What were you able to change about yourself?

Can you become just a little grateful for what these stories taught you?

Some storms were bigger than others.

Allow yourself to process.

Don't shut it away.

That only hurts you.

Invite yourself to discover and embrace what you're holding on to and slowly allow the storm to fade away.

No one storm is more important than the other to process,

To feel,

And to learn from.

Slowly and gently start coming back into this time in this place.

Gently wiggling your fingers and toes and opening your eyes.

Now might be a good time to take out your journal.

Write out about what you learned and what you discovered.
