Thank you for joining me for this grounding practice.
Grounding is oh so necessary for each and every one of us.
This is something we can and should apply ourselves to any time we leave our homes or our comfort zones and head out into the world.
When you are grounded,
You become your own energy source and can draw on a strong foundational relationship within yourself.
The act of grounding balances out the spiritual and physical energy in your body.
You become connected to your higher self and yourself becomes connected with the earth.
It is best to do this grounding exercise outside with your shoes off,
Allowing your bare feet to sink into the natural ground,
Whether that be dirt,
Grass,
Sand,
Or whatever form of nature is available to you.
If you can find a tree to place your hand on and stand beneath,
Even better.
It is totally fine if you don't have nature available to you at this moment.
Just follow my lead here wherever you are and you'll still benefit from this grounding practice.
Place your feet fist width apart and then stamp two to three times firmly on the surface of the ground so that you can feel into this space you're standing on.
Bring your thoughts and attention to both of your feet at the same time.
If you find it challenging to concentrate on both feet at once,
Start with grounding one whole foot and then do the other separately.
For this exercise,
We divide the sole of your foot into four points.
We are going to focus our attention on each of these areas and connect them to the ground.
For this exercise,
We divide the sole of your foot into four points.
We are going to focus our attention on each of these areas and connect them to the ground.
Using our imagination and visualization creates energy.
So the work we're doing here is using our minds to create an energetic connection with the ground below us.
The first point is the sole of the foot below the big toe.
Feel into that spot right below your big toe and focus your attention on it.
As you think about this point,
You may feel tingling or heat or even just a general awareness of this area of your foot.
That is what we're doing here,
Bringing attention and awareness,
Drawing energy towards the area of focus.
Once you feel the energy in this area of focus,
You have validated the point and can move on to validate the next one.
Take your time here.
You can pause this meditation and take the time you need to concentrate until you feel a consistent stir of energy.
The more you practice this,
The easier it will become to manifest an energetic connection.
After the first point,
We're going to bring our attention to point number two,
Which is the sole of the foot below your pinky toe.
Bring your attention to point number two and take time to really focus in on it.
Feel into it until this part of your foot becomes a part of the ground below you.
Take your time.
Point number three is the heel of the foot.
Notice the heel of the foot and then focus,
Focus,
Focus in on it.
Maybe use your imagination to picture roots growing out of the bottom of your heel.
The roots push through the surface of the ground below you and merge with the core of the earth.
However far down below you that may be,
Try and breathe deeply as you concentrate.
Use the out-breath to push down further into the ground with this area of your foot.
Take your time.
We now have all three points of our feet firmly planted into the ground.
Now we will connect these three points to a fourth point of your foot,
Which is the inner edge of your foot.
Locate this point in the middle part of your foot where the inner edge raises up.
Bring your attention here.
Once you've located it,
Then we will connect one,
Two,
And three with this point number four.
So you're being pulled into the ground and creating an energetic connection to point four in the middle of the wedge of your foot.
Take your time to feel into this space.
With all three points firmly pushed into the ground and connected to the fourth point,
We send the anchored energy of the insides of the leg and connect it with the perineum.
The perineum is located beneath the lower pelvis between the pubis and the coccyx,
Or the genitals and the anus.
This is where the muladhara chakra is located.
This is your root chakra.
We're concentrating on this feeling of our feet being pulled deep into the ground,
And now we are binding our root chakra to this energetic connection.
Feel the base of your body joining into the grounded energy here.
Maybe you feel tingling or heat or a sense of being sucked down into the ground.
Concentrate on this feeling.
You are being pulled deep down into the earth's core.
If you started with one foot,
Now you can repeat this practice with the other foot so that both sides of your body are being pulled into the ground and then your perineum,
Your root chakra,
Are connected to the earth's source.
Practicing this grounding meditation daily will connect you with yourself and with the earth.
It is so necessary that we connect with ourselves and lead from the higher self as we go out into the world.
I thank you for taking this time with me.
