Jody Vasallo

Jody Vassallo is a yoga teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner and cookbook author. She came to meditation through yoga many moons ago yet it wasn't until she found Insight Timer that she was able to make meditation a daily practice. Jody shares her love of the five elements, the seasons and mother nature in her simple grounding and soothing meditations.

WOW– I’ve always felt like a bad person when I couldn’t overcome the feeling of being overwhelmed, because it was always a “bad thing” to be that way. After all, the whole aspect of being overwhelmed, is such a negative emotion, and you’re trying to get rid of negative emotions – right? So it’s nice to hear that it’s OK to have them, and that I’m really not such a bad person after all.

Finally a pactice that honors anger. I appreciate making space for the feelings and sensations rather than having a goal to "simply let it go". Thank you. Smiling was not in the cards for me today, but maybe at some point(s) I'll be able to greet anger with spacious love.
