Nor overvalue what you lack.

Marcus Aurelius Welcome to tonight's meditation,

Where we gently focus on gratitude for life's simple joys.

Find your comfortable position,

Close your eyes,

And allow your body and mind to settle.

Take a slow,

Soothing breath in,

And gently exhale,

Releasing any tension from today.

Again,

Inhale deeply,

And let your breath out slowly,

Relaxing fully.

Tonight,

You'll gently remind yourself of the simple blessings already present in your life.

Begin by feeling the comfort beneath you,

Your bed,

Pillow,

The soft warmth supporting your body.

Become aware of this simple physical comfort.

Allow gratitude to softly emerge within your heart for having this safe,

Comfortable place to rest.

Whisper softly to yourself,

I am grateful for this simple comfort,

For this warmth.

Breathe deeply,

Allowing a calm appreciation to fill you.

Now gently reflect on a simple moment of connection you experienced today.

A kind word,

A smile,

Or even a quiet moment shared with someone you care about.

Visualize clearly this ordinary,

Precious interaction.

Let yourself truly appreciate it,

However small it may have seemed.

Quietly say to yourself,

I am grateful for this moment of simple connection.

Pause briefly,

Letting gratitude deepen.

Let this feeling of gratitude gently expand within you,

Calming your heart and mind.

Finally,

Become gently aware of your breathing.

Notice how effortlessly the breath flows,

Bringing life and calmness with each inhale,

Releasing tension with each exhale.

Recognize how profound and simple this life-giving breath is,

Moment after moment.

Quietly affirm,

I am grateful for the simple gift of my breath.

Feel deep peace and appreciation with each breath you take.

As you gently drift toward restful sleep,

Hold on to the peaceful warmth of gratitude you've cultivated tonight.

Repeat your mantra gently and calmly,

Embedding this wisdom into your heart.

Do not undervalue what you have,
