So we'll settle into a meditation posture which feels sustainable for the next 12 minutes.
As we weight the sit bones,
Just also ensuring that the shins have contact with the ground.
Establishing that base,
That anchor so that the natural curvature of the low spine through the thoracic and the cervical,
That S-curve,
And just easefully funnel the force of gravitational pressure through and out.
Meaning we are engaging the musculature around the spine to battle against gravity.
And in that way from the crown to the root,
We really do become a channel.
So we'll swim the plumb line,
The Shonan,
Central channel.
Out of the head as we exhale our way into the belly,
The Hara center.
And it's nothing esoteric,
Cara,
Really does mean in Japanese,
The belly.
So find the sturdiness there.
Clear the cobwebs,
Sweep the clutter,
Dense brush as you open into the clearing center of the forest.
Find that still,
Cool,
Quiet water.
Like a secret spring which has resource,
Your spirit.
Let yourself arrive here.
Never Hurry initialize it.
And notice as you arrive,
Any strong emotions.
Stories.
Moves that are yearning to be seen,
Be felt.
And just for a few concise moments,
Allow yourself to indulge the parts that would prefer you to be distracted.
And just see what's going on in the psychological or emotional streams.
Like you were just getting a sneak peek of what quality of content is informing my present state now.
Move here with me.
So one by one,
Just meeting the parts that are active in you today.
The stressors,
The dramas.
Any nagging feeling in the background,
Let it come to the foreground.
If any of these parts have a request or a need,
Just take a mental note of attending to that matter.
After the practice is complete.
And see if that clear is an inner space in you.
The calmness that manifests when all of our inner parts are heard.
And the palms set on this once again.
If even for a moment.
Offering a warm,
The kindness,
All of the parts.
All of the content.
This vessel holds today.
Together we'll center on a commitment.
A devotion to opening up inside and wondering.
One centering mantra I use to just remind all my parts,
Each and every cell,
Of what's important now.
Because I found now to dedicate my life to awareness.
Awareness itself.
My thoughts that lead to awareness.
And those who live in awareness.
My teachers,
My friends,
My spiritual family.
All suffering and awakening.
Together.
The as hi.
